We contacted Proactive Garage Door Repair on a Saturday morning 9/21/25, and they sent the most amazing pair of technicians I've ever seen work so quickly and efficiently, Plus, they pulled into our drive at 9:45 p.m. on a Saturday night! When Tom and Ben arrived, they introduced themselves with handshakes and smiles, and then Tom proceeded to not miss a beat: he roll on the ground under the partially open door, assessed the situation within minutes, popped up standing on the other side to explain what he and Ben were going to do. The door was bent, the track was bent, and several wheels were dangling. We, for sure, thought we had to replace the whole door. Not at all. In less than an hour, the two remarkably trained, seasoned technicians, had our door repaired with 10 new wheels, 2 new sets of cables, and 2 new metal corner door plates for an exceedingly reasonable cost! IT.WAS.AMAZING! My husband and I couldn't thank them enough. We went turned in for the night relieved to have the garage door repaired in less than 24 hours after the mishap, and thrilled to have been so well taken care of by Tom and Ben and at such an affordable cost. Late, confusing explanation, and the problem came back the next day... just frustrating.

Quoted me 1900 to replace a panel they said we needed to replace after the truck got stuck on the top metal part. (I should mention that they said the price would be about the same if I just replaced the panel or if I just replaced the entire door) I thought that was outrageous and declined having them do it. The guy they sent out was also incredibly early for the appointment which is nice to get it over with but they didn't call to see if they could come by. They are just lucky I was home at that time. After I declined the sale I went and spoke with another company who was able to come out same day and fixed it for only 200 bucks. I am not sure if they thought they could get one over on me because I was a woman or what but that is a hell of a difference and in this economy every penny counts. I wouldn't trust them to give a honest quote Editing to add that I strongly stand by what I said. I was originally going to drop it but congratulations I have decided to let the people know what type of business you are. I was called TWICE in a row by the "co-owner" and she was basically trying to get me to change my review. Saying that she's a small business and bad reviews hurt and she wanted to clarify that the guy who came out was new and that what he told me isn't what he told me. You're not going to gaslight me into believing something that happened did not happen. I advised YOU that I wouldn't let him sell for my company (I have a few businesses) this practice of calling people who don't leave a 5 star review is probably why there are not many. I however don't bow down to crap like that. I had an AWFUL experience and I can not say strongly enough to find another company because if, Godforbid, you have a bad experience and post about it they will harass you and try to get you to change the rating. The guy that came looked at it, gave the egregious quote and left. He was here for less than 5 minutes. How can one deduce the cause of the problem, see how to fix it, properly quote and explain to the client everything that's part of said quote in that short timeframe?
