When Tom and Ben arrived, they introduced themselves with handshakes and smiles, and then Tom proceeded to not miss a beat: he roll on the ground under the partially open door, assessed the situation within minutes, popped up standing on the other side to explain what he and Ben were going to do. The door was bent, the track was bent, and several wheels were dangling. We, for sure, thought we had to replace the whole door. Not at all. After he began the installation, Matt notified me that one of my garage door springs was broken and that it had to be replaced before he could complete the installation of the new garage door opener. He recommended using a modern spring system that is commonly used rather than the obsolete Wayne Dalton ones that I had. The price for that repair was $530. Since I have a home warranty that would pay for most of that, I agreed to have Matt install the new spring system. Matt obtained the parts and installed the new spring system the same day. Total price was $805 for new door opener install, setup, and new spring system. I am very happy with the service, especially since I will receive a reimbursement check from the home warranty company. Now my new garage door opener works quietly and I can use the remotes once again. My kids can also get in now, something they couldn't do before. The Wi-Fi feature and app that came with my new door opener is the bomb - it tells me if the door is open or closed, who opened it and when, and I can control it from anywhere in the world, including my bed when I don't feel like getting up to close the door.
