I ordered a sweatshirt for my granddaughter's 12/4 birthday online on 11/16, figuring I had plenty of time since the website promised a "2-4 day delivery". When I hadn't received the sweatshirt after 4 days, I checked tracking online and found that the item was stuck in TN. Customer service advised me to "monitor the tracking for 10 days and get back to them if item still stuck", which I did- nothing after 10 days. On 12/2 customer service states they will refund my money. Huh? How did the shipping become my problem? No birthday gift for my granddaughter- terrible customer service. read more

Absolutely brutal customer service, do not order online from this store. I purchased a bunch of clothing online, only to receive an order that was not mine. I reached out to customer service through phone and email multiple times and they did absolutely nothing to help me. I still have not received the items for a $235 purchase. I also made the mistake of ordering online from them again after this occurrence (only because I lost my favourite pair of sunglasses from here) and they only sent me one of the two items. I started shopping at Garage in junior high and have slowly worked away from shopping there and more with their sister company, Dynamite. Garage sells clothing exclusively for females and targets teens. Their clothes consist of casual hoodies, jeans, graphic tops and more recently, underwear. Price ranges for tops go from $15 to $25 usually and about $40 for a pair of jeans. The clothes are pretty good quality for what you pay for and customer service is usually quick. They recently reno-ed most of their stores into having more of a hip atmosphere complete with a sitting area with couches outside the fitting rooms. Beside their cash registers is candy which you don't usually expect to see a clothing store sell but makes for a fun scene. read more

I am severely displeased with my online experience. I shopped with Garage through their app, (which is HORRIBLY coded) the app needed to be force closed multiple times to even function. That aside, I placed my two items in the cart and proceeded to check out. Two days later I receive confirmation about shipping, but was notified the items would ship separately. No reason specified. First item arrived in a timely manner, but still no information about second item has been sent. So I called customer support today to be told I was never charged because the item was out of stock. Apparently, the app lets you add things to your cart that they don't even have. Now I'm frustrated, because I wouldn't have purchased the second item to go with the missing item, and they dont even have the colors I want anymore. A waste of my time. read more

We bought products & the clerk put the items in a brown bag that is labeled with the Garage store name. So as I walk around I am advertising the company. Later I look at my receipt and I was charged for the bag that advertises them. Seriously!! I will not shop at Garage again just because of this. I had my first trip into Garage today since junior high and I agree with Maria F. about it being geared mostly towards teenage girls. Everything is very affordable but I don't know that your favorite Garage items could make it through a whole season without the material warping,pilling,or fading. There are a couple exceptions to this like the sweaters I had been checking out today that looked and felt just as nice as anything you would get from Reitmans. Apart from clothing you can also pick up jewelry,scarves,bags,and cold weather gear from Garage. The infinity scarves and bags were all solid colored with the exception of one floral print which was a little disappointing. The jewelry was very pretty but they seem to be really low on their stock right now. Hopefully they get stock regularly during the rest of the holiday season or they risk leaving a bad impression with holiday shoppers in my opinion. The customer service here was kind of wishy washy. I got greeted by an associate walking past as I was coming in the door but I never had anyone approach me after that. The store was not busy and there was three of them working so I have no idea why they wouldn't approach me to let me know about the sales and try to get me to make a purchase. With that being said though I must give them points for keeping the store so tidy and also putting together a nice location after they were forced to move out of their regular and much larger space earlier this year due to the mall beginning renovations. If your over 21 I don't know that Garage would be all that exciting for you but if you have any teens in your house I think they would be very happy if you brought them in to shop or picked up some gifts for them from here. read more

Usually my daughter and I would shop in store- never had issues. But since the pandemic, my daughter decided to order online a pair of pants she wanted. When making the order, it created the order 5 times and charged us 5 times! I called customer service immediately and they told me they could not cancel the order, we would have to wait for the pants and return them. Then, about 1-2 weeks later we received an email stating our order is cancelled because of the pants being out of stock and they issued a $9 gift card. I called and asked why we were issued a $9 gift card when the pants themselves cost almost $50 per pair... times that by 5! They tell me they have to forward it to their finance department for further investigation. Since then I've called multiple times, since now we are going on almost 2 months since the order was completed- and have not received a full refund. Every time I call, I get told the same thing- they have to forward it to the finance department and a Supervisor will call within 1-2 business days. I still have yet to receive this call. And I keep getting the same run around. Terrible service. It does not take 2 months to refund an order that YOU cancelled. read more

On the back part of thier clothing is the printed letters GA. I am sure it stands for GARBAGE as that is how they are made. After spending $75 for two pairs of Jeggins, one would expect them to last at least a season or two. NOPE! The material on the inside of the legs wears incredibly fast and both of these premium jegging after being worn a whole 8-10 times, the fibres of the weave have worn out and the jeans have split/torn. The worst part to this is that the Garage store doesn't care one bit and will do or say anything to get out of taking any responsibility or showing any customer service for their product. I have to laugh that according to Groupe Dynamite (the owners of the Garage label) says their core values are: Honesty: We demonstrate integrity and are trustworthy Passion: We love what we do Excellence: We strive for perfection Now only if they actually demonstrated this at the store level giving proper customer support. At the manufacturing level buying quality materials . At the corporate level to make sure that customers don't need to resort to needing to post scathing reviews for garbage products that they paid good money to buy. Come on Garbage -- err.. Horrible customer service! Manager was rude, and after back and forth with customer service via phone and email, did not receive even store credit for jeans that shrunk. Jeans were supposed to hang dry , which I've never heard of. Symbol was unclear on care label, and there was not a "do not tumble dry" label on them. Jeans were also way overpriced. The only thing I really don't like about garage is the manager at Woodfield mall. AWFUL. (her name is Heather). You know how many people hate her? One time I returned a shirt that was $40, she gave me back $30 thinking I wouldn't count it but I did and I called her out and she acted like it was an "accident". I am not a big fan of Garage clothing. I think that this store is geared towards teenage girls. Everything here is very affordable and doesn't look like it will last for a long time, or even couple of seasons. Garage clothes are mostly made of synthetics and looks cheaply made. I used to have a pair of black work pants that lost their shape and color very quickly. Frankly, the look and quality of Garage's clothes simply doesn't cut it in my book. I know that Garage has many loyal customers, however I personally would spend more money on one good quality item of clothing than buy multiple items at Garage that will die on me very shortly. I am also not a big fan of accessories sold at Garage. Everything from bags and jewelry to scarves and belts looks too simple, plain and again, cheaply made. On the brighter side, the inventory at Garage changes quite often so there is always something new and exciting in the store for those who are Garage fans. read more

Awful customer service! I placed my first Garage order online, since it was my first time using the website I had some trouble navigating it. I had two coupon codes one for 10% and one for 15%. I was also trying to take advantage of their free shipping over $40. I entered the 15% off coupon and tried to get back to the screen where it breaks down the cost of your items + shipping cost (if applicable) I could not get back to such a page, so I trustingly placed my order. When I got my confirmation I had realized that I was charged shipping and actually paid more for my order than if I had not applied a coupon at all! So I called customer service and told them of my mistake and asked if they could please remove the discount code. I usually know better and don't make mistakes like this, as already stated this was my first time shopping on their website. The woman I spoke to was so rude! She said that their billing department "might" not approve the request as they usually don't do things like this. Wow don't do me any favors! She continued to "school" me on their website making me feel like an idiot that I could not clearly see, or return to the page that would have broken down my order for me, making me feel like this mishap was all my fault. Then she says her and I can place an order together so I can see how easy it is to locate the cost breakdown and clearly see if I'm getting charged shipping. Ok, so customer service lady is rude, she can't give me a difinitave answer on wether or not I'm getting some money back, and she's making me feel dumb, "like I want to place another order and spend more money w this company?! NO THANKS!" I asked her 4 times to speak with someone who could help me and she told me NO. I hung up. Called back the next day and spoke to a nicer lady. The First Lady I spoke with the day before did not even put a request in to have my situation handled. The second lady, nicer, but still no authority to fix my situation is contacting the billing department and calling me back. All this over a small mistake on my part. The mistake I truly made was shipping with this company! The mistake the company is making us not giving their customer service reps more power to make price adjustments.
