Came here to find a pair of pants and my friend needed to exchange a top. Brandy in the dressing room and another lady were super helpful. The pants I wanted they didn't have my size so they ordered me a pair to be shipped to my house for $4. I have never had such great help at a clothing store l, not ever! The cashier was just as great and helpful. I ended up buying a beautiful spring yellow top and dress pants (soon to be shipped). I was pleasantly surprised by the energy in that store it was so positive and upbeat. It really made clothes shopping much better than it can be. Great group of women work here. read more

Sherwood Park Mall location has pushy sales and the Mgr calls all customers "Her Friend" to suck up so they will hopefully spend more cash. Her and her staff are quite the joke. I think this might be my new favorite store. I'm smitten with everything about it. Due to lay-offs and money woes, I haven't been here in almost two years, maybe longer. That changed on Monday, as I spoiled myself with several colorful and stylish pieces. I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff, who informed me of their sales and that the plus sizes were everywhere, among all the merchandise. You know what that means? That means everything I see might just come in my size. it means I won't be banished to the back of the store like some unwanted, vile heathen, too ugly and fat for the rest of the village to behold. God, that felt good. I loved the sales, there were several of them going on, and I loved the service. I loved the explosion of color and style--I could go on and on! The prices? Average, for a plus sized clothing store, but I caught a great 50% off sale. But wait! I got caught up in the excitement...and bought this skirt....I hated it. Looks good on me, fits great...But it reminds me of that awful sweater my mother had in the seventies. I'm never going to wear it. It's fifty bucks, so I can't just dump it in the back of the closet in the hopes of a theme party. So four days later, I took it back. Oh, hey...are those new dresses?! I might need a couple of new dresses. My turn in line comes up, and i explain why I can't keep the skirt. The cashier is efficient and empathetic. She nails my thoughts, making me feel like a lot less of a jerk. "Sometimes you get caught up in the moment, and you love it, and when you get home, it's the light or the feeling isn't right." I'm paraphrasing, but you get the picture. She, and the rest of the staff on my two visits spoke to me as if I'd been shopping there for years, like I was a comfortable acquaintance. I've been shopping at various Ricki's locations for years. Primarily the location in south common and the two in Sherwood Park. Over the years, I've been disappointed in the service provided. Before things started to go downhill, service was fully attentive, and they offered a true shopping experience - helping you pick out outfits depending on what you were shopping for. But that approach has been abandoned in other stores. So when I was approached by Jessica in the WEM location, and asked if I was looking for anything specific, I responded with my typical "no, just browsing" answer, even though that wasn't the case. Jessica is not a lazy retail employee though, and she was focused on helping me (but not at all in a pushy way). She said "well, are you looking for clothes for work? party? what's up? I reluctantly told her that I was shopping for an outfit for my birthday party and honestly, her face lit up. She said "great! What's your favourite colour?" I told her it was purple, and she immediately took me to the purple wall (I love how everything is arranged by colour here) and showed me a couple of things. They were actually perfect, and she went off to start a fitting room for me. She showed me a couple more things, but I didn't see her much more while I continued to shop. I assumed that she had gotten me started with a couple of items, then went on to help other customers. How wrong I was! As I started to walk over to the fitting room, I see Jessica and she says "Dana, I put together some outfits for you... they're waiting in your room!". She wasn't kidding. She had put together multiple outfits, each consisting of pants, a shirt, a jacket, a necklace, and a bag. Like... full outfits. There was another lady working in the fitting rooms, I really wish I had gotten her name. She had very short blonde hair and said that she had put together all the outfits that were seen around the store and fitting toom. I didn't catch her name but she was incredibly helpful. The outfits that they put together were just enough outside of my comfort zone that still felt confident. And I found the perfect things! This place has really restored my faith in retail customer service, and I might be more inclined to shop at WEM rather than the stores closer to me. read more

When shopping on this Ricki's you can usually count on great service and attentive staff. There's a sales woman named Anna, who is older than most of the other staff, but she is very helpful without being agressive. Based on service, Ricki's is amazing compared to other stores. But based on quality for the price, I would so it's ok. Often, I will shop when they have a Friends and Family discount which is usually 20% or 40% off one item. It's a great perk of their loyalty card, so I recommend signing up. I've purchased many items from here and find their pants can fade, jeans wear out fast, but they also have some stylish clothing that's great for work or casual. read more

While I've shopped at other Ricki's stores, two weeks ago, I visited this location for the very first time. My wonder out-loud at how overwhelming spacious the store is, was met with the explanation this it is the largest Ricki's in Canada. Hooray! I was greeted when I came in, given adequate time to browse without interruption and then when I'd picked out a few items I was told I could keep looking but that they'd get a fitting room started for me. I greatly appreciated not having my hands full while I looked. In addition to the large selection, there was an ample number of fitting rooms and a somewhat cozy spot for my husband to sit and wait. So let me backtrack a bit - I'd picked out a few pairs of pants online and came in to try them on for fit. What I thought might be an easy task ended up way more complicated as I waffled between different sizes and different lengths. Fortunately, the staff were so incredibly helpful that in the midst of trying on at least a dozen items, I never once had to go back to the racks get a different size! While I ended up with only two pairs of pants instead of four, I also picked out two pairs of earrings and was glad to see that both were on sale. My fall wardrobe seems to be complete, and it appears that at last, I've found in Ricki's everything a girl could want when shopping! read more

This Ricki's store is super busy on the weekends and it's hard to get someone to help you. The price of Ricki's Clothing has gone up over years yet the quality of clothing has gone down. I still shop at Ricki's because they do have nice things but think it's ridiculous that a lot of the tops are sheer or have low neck lines so your forced to buy another shirt to make sure your not flashing your bra at work. read more

I buy a lot of my clothes at Ricki's because they have tall lengths (35" and 36") in a lot of their dress pants and jeans. They carry Silver, which I love. I have shopped at most of the outlets in Edmonton and the WEM store in has the best service by far. They have great service and staff who really try to help you get the right thing. The prices on most things are really good even at full price, and they have a ton of sales stuff at the WEM location. My only complaint is that they used to carry a wide selection of the tall pants in-store, and now they only carry some and have the rest online. This means I can't try them on, which generally results in having to return things to the store. That's why I give them 4 stars rather than 5. Overall, though, love Ricki's. read more

I decided to head into Ricki's while I was hanging out at West Edmonton Mall the other day. I was drawn in by the colors and styles of their sweaters. I walked in and an older woman came up and notified me about the sales and asked me how the weather was. She was really nice, we starting talking about how old it has been in the city and how it can be very dangerous for the staff. I told her she should start her car as often as she could. Anyways, she was just really nice and friendly. Even the other girl that came around to check on me, she was nice too. I looked at their nice and warm looking winter jackets, some were on sale for about $60 but they were not very long and I figured they wouldn't do a good job keeping my butt warm. But their scarfs were really nice (starting at about $16.50) and so where their mittens with a fleece lining (starting at $16). They had some nice colored turtlenecks (I'm just not a fan of them) on sale for $29.50. They had their jeans starting at $19.99 so that was nice to see (I was at some other stores and the prices of their jeans almost made me pass out). read more

Ricki's used to be AMAZING. The staff were trained knowledgeably about women's figures and the staff really came together and worked amazingly. After a very disappointing hiring of a manager 'Dan'- this place went completely downhill. The staff knows nothing about how to make a woman feel god anymore. If you do stop in, ask for Ana. Honestly...I LOVE Rickis...but the store location seems to vary on my feelings towards it. Don't get me wrong, clothing is awesome and great pricing too. I think 70% of my wardrobe is from there haha, but...Usually I go to the Mayfield or South Common location and staff has been great! Laid back and easy to deal with. West Edmonton Mall on the other hand...I don't know what happened over there lately...whether theft has grown or what. I understand security has to be pumped up if that's the case. I couldn't figure it out, cause I assumed they tagged everything...turns out they don't. Why they don't tag everything and have sensors, I don't know. I went there on my lunch break, I was greeted nicely...but as soon as I went to the change room...everything shifted. The girl asked me how many items I had, I guessed 6...then she said ok I can take them from you...I said ok...she started counting everything...why ask?? Then as I am trying things on...she keeps checking up on me which is fine but, counting down the items I have when I give her "no" items...I just found it kinda weird. So I decided on a pair of jeans...but I wasn't ready to buy them yet...I wanted to shop some more to see if I could find a top to go with them...the girl asked me if she could put them up front for me, I explained to her no, and the reason. She didn't seem to understand me. I don't know what part of "I want to see if I can find a shirt to go with the jeans" she didn't get. So as I am doing that, I have 2 floor girls come up behind me and ask me the same questions...I felt kind of pushed...almost smothered by these sales girls. I had explained to them as well what I was doing. One girl apologized saying she didn't know someone had already asked me to take the jeans up front and I said its ok, I'm just letting her know. I wasn't trying to be rude. It got so overwhelming at this store...I ended up putting the jeans on hold and jolting out the store. Either I find them at a different location where its more relaxed, or I go back for 2 minutes and buy them there. To sum it all up...not the greatest shopping experience there...which is a shame because I find they have the best selection...I would love to go back, but as long as pushy sales people are there...I don't think I will. read more

I don't quite enjoy shopping. Most of the items I try on don't fit, or are too tight and I just don't feel comfortable. My friend told me to go to Rickis. She said it was good for women of all shapes and sizes. So I figured I should try out! As soon as we entered everyone was so helpful. Not overbearing but just the right amount. And they seemed sincere about helping. I was dreading having to try stuff on. My friend came with me and picked up a dozen or more items for me to try. So I went in the dressing room and started trying stuff on. I couldn't believe it , everything was fitting so well. I felt comfortable. This one lady who worked there was amazing. Every time I came out , she would be there which was great cause I needed her opinion. and she was honest which I appreciated . If something didn't look good. she would run out and get me a better size or another item. And if something looked great, she would tell me and make me feel good! The experience that I was dreading actually turned out to be tons of fun! Only bad thing that came out of it ,is I spent way more than I wanted. But it wasn't cause it was expensive the prices were very vell priced. But its cause I couldn't stop shopping. I got so much clothes for such a great price. I would come back to Rickis for sure.
