I finished with the dumpster and left the property for good, assuming it would be picked up on day 14 as agreed. Instead, the dumpster sat there for over 40 additional days. Nobody from the company ever called or checked in to ask if I still needed it -- not at 30 days, not at any point. I only found out it hadn't been picked up when I was hit with a bill for an extra $265 in overage fees. A simple courtesy call after a couple weeks of "overdue" status would have caught this immediately. Instead I got a bill nearly a month and a half after the fact for a dumpster I wasn't even using and had no way of knowing was still sitting there. Really disappointed -- a basic check-in policy would have prevented this entirely.
