This company advertises they are a Christian company. The side of their truck says "If you think…read moreconcrete is hard, try living without Jesus Christ. We live in a new David Weekley neighborhood. To shield the established homes from the construction area, and keep nails off our private streets and drives, DW put up barricades to keep the construction people in the area designated for them. Proficient was here to pour two foundations and one of their pump trucks broke down. Instead of calling the Construction Supervisor with DW, they broke down the barricade, broke a window and began bringing multiple concrete trucks down the protected drive. When a homeowner inquired to insure the replacement of the barricade, the man identifying himself as the Foreman said "f-you". The construction supervisor was immediately informed who texted for clarity on which barricade (obviously had no knowledge) and he said they should be working only on the construction side. When told what the Construction Supervisor had said, he repeated "F-you" more than a dozen times! The DW Supervisor contacted him and corrected him and he continued to rant. I know DW doesn't tolerate its constructors treating its customers as such, but the real question is, why does Proficient Concrete employ such people. A full report has also been given to David Weekley Homes. Proficient Concrete personnel are NOT very Christian!

My husband reached out to Rick on…read moreMarch 27th to request a quote for installing turf in our backyard and fixing up our front yard (redo bed borders, pull out shrubs, etc.) Total came out to be a great price, so we paid all upfront, and he and his team came out within about a week to layout the turf and new bed border. By April 17th, the rest of the work was still not done, and we reached out to ask for an estimated time. He said his truck broke down and was in the shop but would keep giving us days he would come by...and then never show. The last message we sent was on May 12th, asking if he were coming as he said he would that day - we haven't heard back. My husband was being very polite the whole time, considering we had given all the money upfront (a mistake, in hindsight). We understand that delays happen, but it is not professional at all to provide deadlines and not communicate when things go awry - every time he didn't show up when we expected him, my husband had to reach out first. Receipts attached. As I've said, it's a real shame about this because they did good work on the turf and bed borders. We were really looking forward to seeing the rest, but as we told him if he didn't show up again, we had to hire someone else to complete the work. We're probably not going to see the remaining $800, either, since he ghosted us. EDIT: he responded after this review and sent a team to pull out shrubs. I changed the review to 3 stars because we still had to hire another company to do the other half of the job, and he didn't give any refund for that work not done by his team.
