After selecting the materials, they said they would meet with us at our newly-built house to decide the tile installation design. That never happened. Fortunately, we were at the house when the tile layer arrived and started laying out the tile. G&TO staff just put 'straight lay' for all the tile we ordered, essentially the entire house and all the outside decks. We had to stop the process, call the builder and G&TO to come out to the house to discuss. None of the house was done in straight lay. Had we not happened to be at the construction site when the tile installer arrived it would have been a diseaster. Fast forward 13 years. We now have tiles crashing down on our patio from the trim on the balcony above. The installer used just a few dabs of mortar to install vertical tiles, covering a small percentage of the tile area. We now need to retile the entire area. Do yourself a favor and fine someone else for your tile work.

North Texas Asphalt Paving was given a job to chip-seal my driveway. The work was completed after…read moredark. During the process, a machine operator ran into an open gate causing extensive damage. John Clay, salesman, agreed that company would pay for all damages. Payment for the chip-seal was made via check to "Asphalt Paving", a different company than was listed on the solicitation brochure, "North Texas Asphalt Paving". It's been over a month and John Clay has not returned any texts or phone calls. Turns out a neighbor up the street had also hired "North Texas Asphalt Paving" to chip-seal their driveway. The neighbor claims the company failed to complete the job and will not return texts or phone calls. Next steps are to contact the Texas Attorney General's Office, the BBB, and the local police department.
