She came to the hospital after I had my baby and stayed with me overnight for two days. This allowed me to get rest and recover while she tended to the baby. My heart would skip when I saw her walk through my hospital room door. She was there to listen to me, to comfort me and to just hug when I didn't have anything to say. She also cared for my newborn so tenderly. She was also my overnight doula when we came home with the baby. Again, my heart would get so excited when it was a night with Christi! She came in and helped with household chores, cared for the baby overnight while my husband and I caught up on much needed rest, and I continued to heal. I just loved talking to her every night about any and everything. She always put my family's needs first when she was here with us overnight. I cannot say enough good things about Christi. Hiring a doula was a great option for us! Katie M was the doula my husband and I worked with, and she is the absolute BEST. Katie and I would chat via phone after my OB appointments and go over the details of the appointment as well as anything I was nervous about. I would tell Katie little things that made me anxious, and she would talk through those worries with me. Katie would also send text messages in between our phones calls checking in and making sure I was feeling at ease. The night my contractions began, I texted Katie at 2 am, and she responded right away. She walked me through what to look for and what to expect. Once I was in my L&D room, Katie was by my side! Katie's presence in the delivery room was so calming and reassuring. My husband would ask her questions or advice which made him feel so much better about the whole process. My biggest concern was feeling scared, but Katie constantly reassured me on every step. I was pleasantly surprised that pregnancy, labor, and delivery went better than I anticipated. Having a doula was a game changer for my mental health, and it was the best decision for myself and my husband.

i've had about 15 appointments here in the last year due to pregnancy and i have to say this is one…read moreof the best run doctor's offices that i've ever been to. when you call their phone number someone actually answers the phone within a few rings! seems that more and more you wait for at least 5 minutes when you call other doctors so i really love this feature. another convenience is that they do not make you fill out tons of forms before your appointment, they actually listen to your medical history and they enter it on the computer...sounds petty but this place really reminds me an old fashioned practice but 21st century with lots of providers and many services offered including nutritionist, lactation consultant, ultrasound etc. 90% of the time you are seen exactly on time if not before your scheduled appointment time which is a rarity in today's medical world. i have been impressed by the kindness and thoroughness of the doctors, midwives, nurses and office staff. they always have either a midwife or dr at york hospital for deliveries. i will definitely continue to use this practice!
