First thing first, shoutout to everyone on the nursing staff. During labor and delivery Nurse…read moreMaggie was an absolute Rockstar. The Dr and Anesthesiologist were great at explaining everything and laying out all options. They were friendly and kind to the doula as well! We gave them a birth plan and they followed it completely. We had another nurse in couplet care named Binika who was outstanding and stayed 30 minutes past her shift due to an emotional situation. She was outstanding as well. Overall, the visiting hours and down time hours were perfect. Gave us time to recover and try to get some rest. Lactation support was amazing. They were very helpful with my wife and she was very appreciative of the staff for assisting her with this. My wife and I are grateful for their services and the safe delivery of our baby. Would definitely recommend Women's and Babies Hospital! The food was okay, but the peanut butter pie was stellar! The day of birth meal for the mom is between crab cakes, steak or lobster. My wife said it was delicious and the best meal she had there! Dad's don't complain about it to your wife, but that couch is rough

I had the worst care at women's and babies, they push procedures on you they don't leave you alone…read moreto rest the list goes on and on. I did not need an episiotomy and they kept on trying to get me to do it, the baby was not in distress the shoulders were not stuck and I did not want an episiotomy. They charge you an arm and a leg for bad service. The doctor I had was not able to answer any of my questions. I do not reccommend womens and babies at all. I am going to stick with the womens place for any future births I have.I also wanted to add when they did the induction they inserted the needle so it sits in my arm painfully and because of that I could not sleep when they offered to reinsert it I agreed and the second time was just as painful. They wanted to run expensive tests on me and my child I refused.

Update: Despite my previous review and negative experiences during/right after pregnancy I elected…read moreto return to OB-GYN of Lancaster for my annual appointment and voice my frustrations. I saw Dr. Fegley who I have had nothing but positive experiences with. I informed her of the extremely upsetting interaction I had with Dr. Fromuth at my one month post-partum appointment and she was very apologetic, understanding and validating. While Dr. Fromuth was unprofessional, condescending and mean-spirited, I feel my prior review of the practice as a whole was unfair. He is one person and does not represent the general culture of the practice. During my pregnancy I saw Dr. Fegley, Dr. Stone and Dr. Syed. All three doctors were wonderful. They were supportive, professional and took the time to listen and provide thoughtful individualized care. It was obvious that they enjoy their work and genuinely care about their patients. I would see all three of them again for another pregnancy without question. The thing with unexpected labor and delivery is that you never know who will be in the hospital that day or who will be on call. Unfortunately for me, Dr. Fromuth delivered my baby. He actually said I "caught him on a good day" after examining my c-section scar. I wonder what would have happened if I caught him on a bad day? Would I have a more gnarly scar? I would recommend avoiding Dr. Fromuth at all costs. I have spoken with two other women who are/were patients who had very similar experiences with him, so it appears that my experience was by no means an anomaly. It's hard to fathom why a man who appears to hate women would specialize in obstetrics, but perhaps that is the very reason itself, to wield some sick form of power to ruin what should be one of those most empowering and beautiful experiences of a woman's life. It should be noted that during my pregnancy the practice was transitioning to a new electronic health record system, which I believe was the source of many is the issues related to scheduling and communication between providers. I am hopeful that these issues have been resolved over the last year as the office staff have familiarized themselves with the new system.

First, love OBGYN of lancaster - the midwives (I've seen Angela, Shelley, Terri, George) and…read moredoctors (I saw Dr Satorie, Dr Fromouth, Dr Kegel, Dr Stone throughout my pregnancy) are amazing and get a 5/5. Do NOT make an appointment at this lancaster office though unless you absolutely have to. I've gone to the Noll drive location 5x in the past 2 years and every time, I've waited in the waiting room 30+ minutes past my scheduled appointment time, and another 15+ for the doctor/midwife. I totally understand that emergencies come up which can push appointments back BUT I have had that kind of experience only once at the Lititz office and went there at least 15 times. For this location I block out 2 hours of time from my day. Seriously. You will be here longer than necessary. Love OBGYN of Lancaster, but this location just never seems as time efficient.
