The owner of this place is very unstable…read more I posted a review recently on this stores business page explaining how the majority of the time they're closed making it hard to ever visit. The owner commented on my review explaining why they're not open much; because it's not "them", it's "her". She owns it and runs it on her own and once I read that I understood. I commented back apologizing and suggested the fact that I would love to volunteer for a fish store and I'm not even in High School anymore, I'm sure many teenagers would like to help out for some Volunteer hours in return too. Afterwards, I deleted the review because I didn't want it to effect her rating unfairly. Today I finally made it to the store! After entering I was immediately approached by the owner who asked if I was the one messaging the store asking about directions. I said Yes only to be yelled at about how I'm inconsiderate and that she lost her mom 4 years ago so I should've thought about how she'd feel before posting the review (The review that was already deleted). Much of the yelling may have been a mental breakdown which is none of my business so I stood there nodding, apologizing and listening, mostly because she wouldn't let me get a single word into her rant, I stood there and just took it until she began swearing at me. Apparently, she'd "Never let a f*cking kid in here to work with." At which point I said nothing and walked out of the store. I was with my boyfriend and his best friend who witnessed the whole thing. (And said nothing. Thanks guys). On the long drive home (We drove out just for this, which she knew) I was messaged by a concerned friend. Apparently the owner lady decided it'd be best to block me from the store page so I couldn't once again add a "mean" review, then publicly posted a photo of my Facebook account claiming I came in to attack her to cover-up for her verbal attack on me. I'm not sure how old this mentally unstable woman is but I'm pretty sure she should be past the maturity of sharing her haters with her business. She told me she's "just been able to build this business back up" after losing her Mother 4 years ago. I'm 19 years old and my Dad's been dead for 1 year from the same cause. Maybe YOU should be more considerate. On top of all that drama her "store" was basically just 5 tanks ranging between 20-40g and a a few betta fish that she was selling in unfiltered and unheated Dollar store vases. She was also offering them as Giveaways on Facebook. I wouldn't bother with this place. Gardel Pet Shop is just across town with knowledgeable employees, clear signage, a huge aquarium section, supplies and other animals. Open 5 days a week with regular business hours. DRAMA FREE!

It is the most adorable pet store…read morei've ever been to, it's built on the front of an old century home like a general store with cabinets all along the sides and wood counters displaying all they're goodies. The back wall has birds for sale and a bunny in the window. Normally I'm against selling animals, however the lady who runs to store - nicest woman ever - lives in the back and is able to keep an eye on them 24 hrs a day. In another side room she carries fabulous high end dog foods like Fromm, Hills, Wellness, Acana etc. Lining the one wall is every toy a dog or cat could want with some well known names like Kong and some other ones not so well known but super cute (i.e. colourful zombie like dog toys). I finally found a rain poncho for my dog that didn't kill my pocket ($12.99) and we got free samples at the counter in little paper bags. She also has a lovely little dog named Gracie (Pug/Terrier cross) that will gladly accept belly rubs and will play tug of war. In additional this kind lady puts out free coffee and cupcakes for her customers on the way in the store. Overall, fabulous store!!! If your in the area and have a pet this is the place for you!!

This might be a beautiful store, but the food is not raw or any good for dogs, so don't be fooled…read more Raw food is uncooked meat (often muscle and organ meat), whole or crushed bones, fruits, vegetables, raw eggs, and some dairy. The food looks like a loaf of filler. When my dogs tried this food, they were hesitant and their poops were huge. When doges eat raw food, they have little poops because they use more of the excellent food. The food is overpriced and not worth it even when paying in US dollars. Collingwood is amazing but this food is not.
