The Pearsall Travel Center turned out to be far more of a pit stop than anything else. It looks great from the outside, and even when you first walk in, but the restrooms leave a lot to be desired. For a large truck stop, you expect more than two stalls and two urinals in the men's restroom. They were reasonably clean, but the single hand soap dispenser was broken and the lone paper towel dispenser was out. Fortunately, there was a working hand dryer. This would be a two-star review, except they did have a single pocket comb for sale, which was reasonably priced. That also qualified as my obligatory purchase when you use the restroom per the parent rules.

Jax is their dog who is great , you can find him helping to manage things. He is a character. He can open and shut the office door and often takes the passenger seat on the golf cart. Truly a great experience and plenty of space between spots. They have propane on site and wifi and direct TV.
