Just some pieces of undercooked noodles

First things first, service was friendly and cocktail was impeccable. But come here only for cocktails, READ BELOW I went to Thailand 2 times last year, this restaurant serves the most authentic and up to date Thai menu ive ever seen in north America. They even have tum mama. But the kitchen was clearly undertrained for the menu they provide. First, the hotpot was served cold. The piece of charcoal cannot even warm the hotpot, not to mention about cooking the uncooked flat noodles served with the hotpot. Moreover the environment was clearly under ventilated for burning charcoal which poses a carbon monoxide hazard. The piece of charcoal went out after seconds which leaves the hotpot warm overall. The tum mama tasted good it was undercooked tho.

It's hidden behind lots of plants on a busy street without any signage. We were greeted by lovely staff and quickly taken to a table. Food was served quickly and with beautiful presentation.

I walked in without a reservation and I had multiple options to sit. They asked me which I preferred which I had loved. I always prefer to sit at the bar area as alone at a table is depressing. They have many veggie, vegan and meat options on the menu. The service is also very fast and the food is very delicious. I tried the Paloma, I loved the rimmed glass and the tequila was washed in fat. That was a first for me. I am impressed by the ambience, music and stellar service. The prices are very good and the staff is amazing as well. I highly recommend this location if you are looking for a Thai restaurant in the downtown area.

I was so excited to come here and try Thai food in Montreal because I LOVE Thai food however walking up to the restaurant there was no one here and the waiter was absolutely seem annoyed that we even walked in. I asked him to help me with my menu because I don't speak French and he was just there staring emotionless staring at me like here is the English button and walked off without explanation ect ect stale personality. I explain to him that Thai food in America is a little bit different because the American style tend to have different choices, I was asking for certain dishes and I guess that pissed him off. finally we got our food and they totally forgot my daughters soup because I don't think he was paying attention enough to comprehend. That was the first order that we placed so we had to sit around for her to come out after we finished ours . we were not able to eat together. the food is delicious too bad that the staff and service is very poor, bad , stale & unfriendly service. Go ahead & look for a better place . Be aware, do research please read your review before you go. I did not and this is what I got!! A smile is free n if your live from tips learn to deal with all people not just the one you like. It's called hospitality, maybe you need a book about it. Ask ppl if they allergies too.. cause my kid soup came with peanuts n she can't eat it.. the reason he needs to explain the menu in detail. Ciao never again....

Excellent service, the food was very good, a smaller but a very nice spot. My sukhothai was very good, the spring rolls and meatball appetizers were excellent. The cocktails are very nice as well. Service 5/5, food 4/5, ambiance 4/5.

You walk in and there's a clothing store on one side and black curtains straight ahead. I just stood there confused for a second until someone suddenly appeared and escorted me through the curtains, down a long dark hallway, and into this intimate, dimly lit bar. Turns out, I had accidentally stumbled into a speakeasy. The space is tiny--maybe 6-8 seats at the bar and a long banquet along the wall for 10-12 more people. No menus either. They ask what you like and don't like, then craft a cocktail specifically for you. The pours are generous and the bar is stocked with top-shelf liquor. About a drink and a half in, I realized I needed actual food immediately and had to leave. The staff was friendly, personable, and chatty, and because the space is so intimate, you naturally end up talking with the people around you. Definitely more of a solo or date-night spot than a group hang. Such a cool, unexpected experience.

I'm a fan of cocktail bars, and after reading up on this spot I made it my intention to check it out. It just so happened that it was a short walk from my hotel, so we decided to check it out one night before heading to dinner. The Cloakroom is a speakeasy, nestled behind a hidden door in a men's clothing shop. In the line of being a speakeasy, the space is small - there are only 24 seats but since we got there right at opening we were seated right away. The space is dark and intimate, with the bottles of liquor lit up behind the bar providing an attractive focal point. One of the more unique features of the bar is that there's no menu; we told our server the types of liquors we wanted along with the flavor notes and they crafted a cocktail based on our tastes. We ultimately had two rounds; my first drink was vodka-based and fruity, while I went with something gin-based and dryer. Both were very good - there's little fanfare with presentation; the bartenders let the drinks speak for themselves. Service was great; due to the setup, each patron is given extra attention which really highlighted the experience. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at The Cloakroom Bar. This was definitely a unique experience with excellent curated drinks. I would definitely return the next time I'm in Montreal.

The first time, the music was extremely loud, and it seemed like they were short-staffed. The bar was completely packed, and there was only one bartender making drinks, so the wait was a bit longer than expected. We decided to give it another try, and I'm so glad we did. The second visit was amazing! The bartender working that night was incredible--she clearly knows her craft and made our drinks quickly without sacrificing quality. Every cocktail was delicious, and the overall experience was much more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend The Coldroom. My only suggestion would be that, with a space that busy, the bar could really benefit from having an additional bartender during peak hours. It would help keep wait times down and make an already great experience even better.

Being the Montreal Gran Prix weekend, the city exploded with crowds making it difficult to find a place with a patio and seating outside. Determined to succeed we found this place with the last table for two on the patio available. We were thrilled, as this place not only delivered in that department it was highly rated on Yelp. The place was bustling with patrons inside and out, but the service was outstanding with quick delivery of much needed beer with our food shortly there after. Bar Dominion is not just a bar with a long list of cocktails and a few beers, they have a nice selection of seafood and small plates. The menu here is not your typical "bar" food selection, but a selection one would find on a bistro menu. I ordered the Petite Bourgogne beer, which is a local red beer that was crisp and fresh. The Lobster Roll was the item that stood out for me and I'm glad I ordered it as it was super fresh and delicious. The buttery roll was perfect with the well seasoned lobster garnished with chives. The portions are also just right. The inside atmosphere was off the rails with an upscale atmosphere and the patio was quite different with atmosphere more suitable for conversation with ease. I really enjoyed this place and glad we accidentally discovered it. The only thing I regret is not trying one of their cocktails, as I learned after that the cocktails were created by a renowned mixologist, Andrew Whibely from Cloakroom Bar fame. This explains the very short offerings of beers.
