It is now April 2023 and I don't have my tooth fixed or the 4 cavities taken care of. I woke up sick the other morning and I get it most doctors and dentists offices are hyper sensitive about patients coming in with germs since COVID. So I did the courtesy of telling them I could not come in because they make you fill out a Covid questionnaire prior to your appointment. I got a text message response about the cancellation of my appointment and that Dr Lucario could not see me until July!!! I'm not sure if this was a tactic to push me away as a patient. At the time I was young, 23, and not especially assertive. Dr. Tahir checked me out and approved and I was on my way. I'd had no idea what had happened until I got home. Today, every time I run my tongue along that second-to-front tooth, I am reminded of this mistake that went unaddressed. This was an expensive set of braces. Dr Grud never had to really do much to my teeth after he put the braces on. His assistants were in charge of rubber band replacement. However, the one time he DID work on my teeth, I bit his finger. I felt pretty bad, and he called me a turkey afterward so we're even now. He was wise to leave the rest of the work to his assistants. When I attempted to protect my PII and asked the office to use the insurance phone number to verify benefits, they suggested I pay out of pocket and submit a reimbursement claim to my insurance. Needless to say I scheduled with another dentist. Just a heads up on the quality of service to expect.
