The boat was pretty much a no frills 20' pontoon that worked very well and to be honest, had seen its fair share of time on the water. It operated flawlessly and handled very well. Because it wasn't in pristine condition I wasn't overly concerned about every little thing my kids did. Had it been a brand new boat I would have been nervous about anything that they did. We had a small issue with our swimming ladder for getting back onto the boat. We swung by the marina and they hooked us up with a ladder that worked much better. My family had a fantastic time on the boat, their staff was super helpful and friendly, and if we're back in the area again we would ABSOLUTELY rent from them again.

The water crafts they rent have no safety gauges to include water depth-finder, fuel gauge, trim gaug. Then, they charge renters for chips/dings to props, because they can't effectively raise the trim based on water depth. They told us they intentionally disconnect all gauges because they drain the battery. Also, if you run out of gas (because you have no idea how much gas is even in the boat - no operable gauge), they charge $80-$120 service fee to come and put gas in the boat. Lastly, when we expressed concern about the lack of operable gauges, and safety concerns on our specific pontoon, the young man who was left in charge said he would process a specific refund amount. Instead he charged us an additional $118 For a gift card! What?!?! Then it took over an hour and a half for the owner to show up - after several calls, and the owner sending other young kids to try to help. He finally refunded the fraudulent charge for the gift card, and the refund, only to REVERSE both after we left, so we were being charged the full amount PLUS an additional $118 for a gift card purchase we never made and never received. Our credit card company confirmed the credit and refund were reversed. We tried to file a claim with the sheriffs office for fraudulent credit card activity. They told us they went out to the business and he showed them his system where he credited our account. The sheriff believed him and told us, if he doesn't refund the fraudulent charge, we need to hire an attorney and take him to small claims court. I wonder how many others he has done this to... look at the other reviews and find out.

What an amazing business…read more I was looking for a used golf cart for our seasonal RV located at the Clearwater Forest Resort two weeks ago in South Haven, Mn. A family friend recommended Winters Recreation located about an hour away in Sauk Centre. He bought his new golf cart there (thanks Bobby for the recommendation). I called Winters Recreation and talked to Ethan about my options and financing. Ethan was very clear and concise, and answered all my questions. I told him I would confer with the warden, I mean wife, and let him know the following day. The next day, Ethan called me back, and walked me through the order, and explained the financing options. I ended up buying a used 2022 golf cart that was fitted with a new single lithium battery (vs 6 conventional batteries!) that had an 8 year limited warranty. I extended that warranty to a limited lifetime battery replacement due to how expensive a new lithium battery replacement could be. Often running about $3000 or higher. I also asked for them to install a trailer hitch, bought a cover, and requested delivery to the Clearwater Forest Resort. Ethan said no problem. The delivery (in state) of the cart was broken down to two options. One week delivery or a two week delivery. I opted for the two week delivery from a little over $100, as that was cheaper than the one week option. Ethan then transferred me over to Jacob, who was in charge of financing. Jacob broke down the numbers for me, and took an extra $100 off the price due to their First Responder discount (thanks Jacob!). I got a good deal, and signed the paperwork online. Jacob said that someone from the delivery division would be contacting me by phone in a couple of days. Sure enough, the next day, I received a phone call saying the golf cart would be delivered to the campground by next Tuesday. Mind you, this was within a week delivery, not two! That was a nice surprise. Wow. Talk about customer service. There is a reason that Winters Recreation is the Midwest's largest custom golf cart and utility golf cart supplier. Just look at their reviews. Thank you Ethan and Jacob! I'll pass on how professional you guys are. Excellent service!
