They wasted a whole day of mine that I could have used to start the healing process faster. Then after my surgery I found out that someone during my procedure chipped my teeth and it most likely was the doctor. Everyone working at the hospital was complaining about the other employees at the hospital. They seemed to not tell me the truth at the hospital and they could at least admit that they did something wrong and tell me why instead of trying to hide things or not be transparent. The nurses were complaining about their schedules and saying theywere scheduled for the next day then they were not. The nurse at the hospital tried to put anesthesia in my hand and made me bruise so much it lasted a week the bruise. The hospital itself is telling me they will not pay for my chipped teeth and that there is no proof they are chipped when I took timestamped photos and they did not take any because if they did then they would have to acknowledge what they did wrong so they don't bother to even take photos. Don't even bother emailing you they will just call you a liar and make you even more upset and tell you you perceive things. Disrespectful and disgusting

I had my first appointment to confirm my pregnancy, and it did not go as planned. To start off, the…read morefront desk claimed they had to charge me $300 for the ultrasound and appointment, even though I have insurance and my specialist visit copay is $5. They said I needed to "open my maternal benefits." Next, I saw the medical assistant, who was rude. You could tell she does not enjoy her job--every answer I gave was met with a sarcastic response, and she was also rude to my mom, whom I had brought with me. Then they told me that the people I brought were not allowed to speak when I saw the doctor. Mind you, I did not actually see a doctor--I saw a midwife named Pauline. This is where the experience was the worst. She was rude to me simply for being a 23-year-old, talking to me like I was dumb and only relied on what TikTok says. I have had severe vomiting and nausea, and I told her I have gastritis (GERD). She didn't even know what that was, which led her to not take my symptoms seriously. She told me to "let mother nature do the job." She didn't listen to any of my concerns and kept treating me like I was a young, dumb woman, which is horrible for a first-time mom to deal with--especially to later find out she might be the one delivering my child. That was disheartening. After I left the appointment, I have been struggling to hold down any food, including water, and have been vomiting all day from breakfast to dinner. Because of my gastritis, every time I throw up at night, I'm left with acid reflux for about 2 to 3 hours, which has completely disrupted my routine. That is why I had so many concerns about my nausea--it directly affects my gastritis. But because Pauline was so uninformed and focused on my age, she mistreated me and did not take my health seriously. Now, until my next appointment, my first trimester has been horrible. Each night I throw up, and I'm up until four or five in the morning with acid reflux that won't go away. I can't help but wonder if things would have gone differently if she had listened. The only good part about my appointment was the ultrasound, although I was initially upset because the medical assistant told me I could bring two people in. When it came time for the ultrasound, they said only one person could go in, which was frustrating since I brought my mom, my mother-in-law, and the father of my child for that reason. The ultrasound technician was the only positive part of my experience--she was kind and informative. The checkout staff for my next appointment were also polite. However, the main thing that ruined my experience at this clinic was Pauline. If you are a young mom around my age, I suggest going somewhere else to avoid going through what I experienced. Paying $300 just to be insulted multiple times and disrespected, while having your health concerns ignored, is unacceptable. I have my next appointment in June, and I have very high expectations for how I should be treated. If those expectations are not met, I will switch doctors. I would rather switch providers than risk having that midwife be the one assisting me during labor.

There are many things as a medical facility that can be worked on at this place. I've been canceled…read moreand rescheduled more then any other facility I've been too. They have no consideration of others time. I asked Susie the (administrator ) to transfer my records over to another clinic and they automatically closed my account, as they took it upon themselves to consider the fact I got accepted into the other place. I spoke to Elizabeth who's tone sounded as if not a care in the world how I felt that I was out the system, & was told " you asked for the transfer and you got what you wanted" they have poor communication skills. There is no one at the office who you can consider a higher rank or a so called manager because they all think they are managers. I am so disgusted about the poor quality of care thathese ladies have with their clients. I've been left in the lobby for half an hour for my ultrasound appointment because their so called receptionist didn't put my file to be seen. The ultrasound tech herself complains about her body hurting while doing your exam not something you want to hear or deal with while having an exam that's supposed to be meaningful and admiring. I was referred to this clinic by my primary doctor due to the fact that I had a miscarriage and I wanted to continue care in the hands of someone who cared, sadly I came to the wrong place. I will not be referring this place to anyone.

"Warning": Extremely Poor Surgical Experience I do not…read morerecommend MED Eye Associates or Dr. Harish Raja in Miami, Florida for cataract surgery. Before surgery, I followed MED Eye's protocol and asked multiple staff members--including the surgical coordinator--which lens manufacturer Dr. Raja uses. No one knew, so I asked them to confirm directly with him. They later told me Bausch & Lomb, and I clearly stated that I did not want any lens that sacrificed distance vision. I was perfectly fine using reading glasses for close up. Despite this, on the day of surgery--after waiting two hours in pre op at the Center for Eye Surgery--I learned afterward that Dr. Raja implanted a RayOne EMV Toric lens, a product only recently FDA approved. Even worse, he modified the lens to induce myopia for close up vision, the exact opposite of my instructions. This caused a major loss of distance vision. My research later showed written guidance warning against inducing myopia with the RayOne EMV lens because it reduces distance capability. Due to this mistake, Dr. Raja had to perform a second, lengthy 2hour, painful surgery to replace the lens with the Bausch & Lomb lens I originally requested. During that procedure, my iris was severely damaged. I now require a specialist for iris repair, and months later I am still healing and unable to proceed with the repair. I am also out approximately $5,000 in personal expenses, plus the insurance claim. I have never experienced such poor communication, disregard for patient instructions, and overall incompetence.

The office is super neat, clean, and comfortable, they all the time play very nice music, Natasha his assistant is so sweet, nice, and helpful, always looking the way to make you feel good and welcomed. My father was a longtime patient of Dr. Perry's (over 15 years). When I was younger and lived with…read moremy parents, I was also a patient, as was my mother. Now, because she has a Medicare dental plan, they don't cover Dr. Perry's services, so she goes elsewhere for cleanings, though she is very unhappy with that dentist. Since I live in Miami Beach, it is no longer feasible to come to Dr. Perry's office, or I lose an entire day of work, plus then I'd have to find a way to schedule picking up my daughter from school before aftercare closes, so I unfortunately had to find a new dentist, closer to me. We have therefore known Dr. Perry, as well as his receptionist, Christina, for many years. When I told them of my father's passing, they were both very sad and hugged me and my mother, telling us they considered him a family member, not just a patient. That was very nice of them. When my dentist in Brickell told me he could do nothing about my impacted wisdom tooth and referred me to an oral surgeon, I called them and was frustrated that they wouldn't give me an approximate cost for the surgery. They did say an initial consultation would run me shy of $200 and that was enough for me to balk at that, as I could only imagine how much the removal would cost. I don't have a dental plan, I was paying for this from my FSA savings account. I called a few more oral surgeons, including the one that did my gum transplant many years ago, and shopped around. They all quoted me from $500-$1200 just to remove one tooth, which I think is ridiculous. I then remembered Dr. Perry and wondered if he did these types of procedures. Mom didn't think so, but she agreed with me when I said I might as well call, as I had nothing to lose. Of course, I could have just checked his LinkedIn page, which says "dental practice that encompasses all facets of general dentistry including: pediatric, endodontic (root canals), cosmetic, periodontal (gums), restorative (fillings), exodontia (extractions), and some minor tooth movement (orthodontics)" and that would have given me my answer! Still, I did need to get a quote, because I was considering the alternative of just becoming a regular user of Anbesol for the rest of my life, rather than spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to remove a meager tooth. Luckily, Christina gave me a very affordable quote, less than half what the lowest quoted price had been at that point. I scheduled an x-ray of the tooth prior to surgery, so we could see what we were up against. His assistant Isabella was very patient with me, despite my constant gagging and having to reinsert the plates and try numbing me again, to prevent gagging. We got the x-ray, he said it was not going to be an issue to remove it, and we scheduled surgery for one week later. This past Monday the 25th was my surgery. I followed the procedures prior to surgery (have a heavy lunch one hour prior as eating dinner will be too bothersome, as well as taking 5 Ibuprofen one hour prior to surgery) and after a tricky removal due to the fact the tooth was hooked to my jaw, was growing sideways, and very impacted, the huge tooth finally came out. I had no idea wisdom teeth were so big, it looked like something that came out of the mouth of an animal, haha! He explained along the way what he was going to be doing, what I would be feeling, and assured me everything was normal, rather than leaving me in the dark wondering if the noises I heard were normal or if my jaw was breaking... I got my post-op instructions and some gauze and was back on my way home. I only relied on Ibuprofen to get me through. We spoke about dry socket and luckily, I have no signs of it. Christina called me yesterday to make sure I was doing okay. I am not even using the Ibuprofen anymore, as I can tolerate the swelling and pressure I am feeling in my mouth. I brought my daughter around for the surgery and decided to ask the dentist if he thought she needed braces, as her teeth are crooked (I take full blame on that, as she inherited it from me). She is 9.5 years old, and many of her classmates have braces. He took a look at her and advised against it, as she is still quite young, has a lot of baby teeth to lose, and she has a large gap between her front teeth that should allow the new teeth enough space to fill out without needing to use any jaw expansion. He said a lot of dentists put braces on 7-year-olds and he thinks it's a waste of money. It's not often that you find an honest dentist like this, because he could have taken her on as a patient and gotten rich off of me, so I appreciated his honesty. Christina gave my daughter some prizes for being so well-behaved while she waited for me, and provided her with toys that they have for kids, such as Lincoln Logs and Legos while she waited. Other patients have also had positive experiences, read their reviews here: http://www.superpages.com/bp/Palmetto-Bay-FL/T-Tayloe-Perry-DDS-L0098440068.htm
