She refused to listen to me. Abhorrent behavior. I scheduled the follow up, basically with no choice, and came for the visit in December of 2024. The tech saw me first, and then I was seen by Dr. Ferro. She got the reason incorrect for my visit not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES. She showed a complete lack of interest, lack of knowledge, lack of understanding. My reason for sitting in that office was primarily her doing, additionally communicated to the tech, and should have been in my patient file. After explaining to her again (and again) why I was there, she ended the visit by APOLOGIZING for wasting my time. "I'm so sorry for having brought you in here and wasted your time" - I should have recorded her. If the only thing wasted was time, a negative review would already be necessary. However, I paid $50 for this visit at the office. In January, I received a bill for $119 for this visit. Now, in April, I have just received a further bill of $25. The front desk staff is either unempowered or unable to answer for billing questions, both of which are unacceptable. They say these are all for the same visit, just now being processed for insurance. In December I already had found a new provider as I would never return to someone who doesn't listen to her patients and who arrives unprepared for the visit she requested. However, it is clear now that her office is simply trying to extort their patients for their money and their insurer's money. This office should be shut down - I wouldn't wish this experience on any person.

She called twice after that just to make sure, each time telling them about the problem. Each time reassured that it would be OK. She arrived 1/2 hour late and the staff blew her off telling her they couldn't see her, and said she never called and she would have to make another appointment and come back another time. They didn't tell her this over the phone, and basically called her a liar. This is beyond unacceptable. The Doctor has lost 2 patients because of the staff. I came early to fill out all the necessary new patient paper work, & I was greeted with all smiles and polite staff. The office is huge, and very comfortable. As soon as 9AM hit I was called in by the nurse & shown the room. Dr. Perez came in soon after & was very polite, smiles, a person very easy to talk to. I've met a couple of the other doctors as well & they are just the same... I could not have asked for a better place to go. I have made early appointments so I would not have to wait long to be called in but even my afternoon visits I am called in right when my appointments are actually scheduled. You know what I mean right? You make an appointment at 1pm, and you get called in at 115-130, then 145 hits and that is when you finally see the doctor. TOTALLY different here! 1PM is your appointment 1PM you are called in, 130PM you are out the door. Great nurses and doctors all the time - 5 stars all around!

My review on his practice: STILLBIRTH DELIVERY on 1.1.15 Longest and most heartfelt review I will write on yelp: From day 1, I never waned to see Dr Tumero, as a close friend of mine had a still birth in 2nd tri under her care. Said friend reviewed her file with head doctor (Fink), both came to the conclusion that closer monitoring and treatment could had made a difference. Fast forward and guess who I get stuck with? Yes, Dr. Tumero Details:I had a regular doctors visit on 12/31/14, during my ultrasound, tech noticed that heartbeat was slow, she quickly called Dr Simmel in and I was asked to head over to baptist for further monitoring. Upon arriving to baptist (5 minutes later, as building is right next door), my daughters heartbeat was detected by monitor used by nurse. Five minutes later, Dr Tumero (who was on duty at hospital) shows up and requests bed side u/s. U/s tech arrived within a couple of minutes and by then, my daughter was gone. Between time of my arrival, check in, blah blah blah, about 10 minutes passed. Though you maybe thinking, 10 minutes is not that long, it is when your child's life is at risk. Knowing what I know now (further testing detected that I have an autoimmune disease which often correlates with still births if left untreated) I understand that OTHER factors COULD have caused my daughters passing, however, we did not know (still don't) what "the cause" was when it was all going down,so my thoughts are: If Dr. Simmel called baptist to let them know that I was heading there with baby with slow heartbeat, why the delay in dr Tumero showing up? My daughter passed away at this hospital, all while we were present. Why was an emergency c- section not done if one minute there was heartbeat and not the next? so many questions. I know that nothing will ever bring her back, but I question the response time and how the situation was handled. ------- As if what I described above is not reason enough as to why to avoid this practice, here are additional mishaps that took place during pregnancy. I had a VERY healthy pregnancy, so my visits were short and to the point. However, there were many mishaps along the way, one of them being that a test which is done during 2nd trimester detecting abnormalities was overlooked. They apologized for that, and during that time I didn't think it was a big deal, but after having lost my child, I wish that every single test had been done. Aside from that, there was a lot of back and forth with medication prescribed (Diclegis for nausea and vomiting) the office sent prescription to my pharmacy for wrong amount (less pills) so I was having to go back for refills every couple of weeks, spending more money per bottler, wasting time and gas. It wasn't until the pharmacist asked me why I hadn't just ordered 100 pills to begin with vs 30 at a time, that we were able to correct the issue by calling obgyn and having them send correct prescription. U/s tech with long hair- this lady is one of the most unpleasant people I have ever met in the industry. I do not recall her name, but I saw her twice early in pregnancy and requested not to see her again. I tried both times to initiate small talk (commenting on her daughter's ballet pictures/ asking about her day) and got nothing. She always had a crappy face on, and was non responsive. Having an u/s done is both exciting and stressful, she did zero to make the experience more pleasant. Please stay away from this place if you are expecting, it is my only suggestion. During a doctor's career, there is no doubt that lives will be lost for x or y reason. I just REALLY feel that my daughter's life could have been spared, if things had been addressed promptly.

I have been a part of this group for well over 15 years now with zero complaints. When I became…read morepregnant with my first, and sadly miscarried, Dr.Miranda treated me with respect and empathy. Thankfully, I became pregnant again quite quickly and proceeded to be in their care until 24 weeks with Dr.Rodriguez. She is truly a wonderful woman and knowledgable doctor. Unfortunately, I transferred care due to their strict "No Doula" and "No Hypnobirthing" policy. When I asked my doctor about it, she said "dont waste your money" and "many of the L&D nurses at south miami are doulas" (not true). Per ACOG (American College of Obstetritian & Gynecology) "Evidence suggests that, in addition to regular nursing care, continuous one-to-one emotional support provided by support personnel, such as a doula, is associated with improved outcomes for women in labor". Hypnobirthing is also a proven pain management technique. So why do they have this policy? My guess is liability purposes. ("https://www.acog.org/clinical/clinical-guidance/committee-opinion/articles/2019/02/approaches-to-limit-intervention-during-labor-and-birth) This "no doula" policy, coupled with the fact that South Miami has an astronomically high c-section rate, were all red flags for me. I absolutely do not want a C-Section. So if you're preggers and looking to avoid the "Cascade of interventions" that come with labor, I would proceed with caution. Not to say it's not possible, but there are already policies at South Miami OBGYN that protect the medical group while also stripping the mother of options for their birth experience. Worth noting that when I transferred care to a different doctor I got a call from this office to the tune of "just to let you know, if it doesnt work out with the new doctor you can't come back to us for care". 5 star group for regular OB Care 3-4 Stars for pregnancy support

This is not simply a matter of the valet being "distant" or having a bad attitude. There is a very noticeable difference in the way I am treated depending on the vehicle I arrive in.When I come by myself in my regular car, the valet has told me, "You have to park your car yourself." On another occasion, when the valet area was very busy and there were many cars, he told me, "I'm going to do you a favor and park it for you today because we are full." A valet service is a paid service. Parking my car is not a "favor" being done for me.What makes this situation even more obvious is what happens when I arrive with my husband in his newer sports car. Even when there are empty spaces available, we are suddenly told that only the valet attendants are allowed to park that particular car. The attitude and willingness to provide the service completely change. It is very hard not to notice that the difference seems to be based on the fact that the car is newer, modern, and a sports car.I have also had an upsetting experience involving my mother, who was not treated with the basic courtesy and respect that any customer should receive. This is especially disappointing at a medical facility, where patients and their family members should be treated with patience and professionalism.I want to be very clear: I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for the service I am paying for. If valet parking is offered and customers are paying for it, customers should not be made to feel as though parking their vehicle is a favor. There are usually two attendants working there -- one younger gentleman who is darker-skinned and another gentleman who appears to be somewhat older. I am mentioning this so management can identify the employees involved and actually look into what is happening at this location.I strongly believe the owner or management of Best NRG Parking Services Inc. should be aware of how their employees are representing the company. This type of behavior reflects very poorly on the business and can absolutely cost the company customers.Management should seriously look into how customers are being treated at this location. The doctor never calls directly--messages are relayed through staff, like a game of telephone. Emails get phone calls back with staff reading a note from the doctor, and any follow-up means more calls. Nothing is in writing, there's no patient portal, and it's on you to keep track of everything. After my procedure, while I was still medicated, the doctor told my husband they found signs of infection and pushed him to get tested at her office for $400, insisting other doctors "wouldn't know what to test for." My follow-up for results was set six weeks out, despite infection results usually taking 1-2 days and pathology 2-3 weeks. For the cost, I expected timely, direct communication and a patient-first approach. Instead, I felt pressured into extra charges and left without clear access to my own doctor. I do not recommend.
