We were there to cross-country ski and in fact, there are lovely trails for xc skiing and snowshoeing within steps of the door. The breakfast buffet, which is included, is impressive and the dinner and beer/wine options are great after a thorough day of skiing -- think classic swiss meat and potatoes type dishes, available for a very reasonable price. The salad bar was plentiful and well-stocked. The staff was reasonably new but as helpful as they could be. The rooms were large and clean and while there were mininal hangers, there was shelving and the bathroom was large. The shower did not have walls but instead just curtains so be prepared to avoid flooding the entire room. Great views from the higher floors. The hostel includes a number of group social spaces and dining rooms that can be reserved ahead of time for private groups, as well as a children's room, living room, and game room. The basement has a room for ski storage, 2 game rooms, and a laundry room.
