I called her to confirm that she in fact would be covered, and she was very eager to tell me that she indeed was and that I could come in and have my first appointment. However, it wasn't until five appointments later that she gives me a call, saying that my insurance will not be covering her, and that she was "misinformed," and instead of paying $20 per session, I would be paying $135! She then continued to call me, email me, HARASS me continuously for weeks WHILE I was trying to work things out with the insurance. She refused to allow me a decent period of time to work things out with my insurance, threatening to send me into collections only WEEKS after telling me I had an outstanding balance of nearly $500. All she cared about was her money. I learned then that the only reason she acted so eager to have me come in was because she just wanted another client off of whom to make more money. I came to her with anxiety in the hope that she as a licensed counselor could help me overcome, but instead she caused me even more, and dare I say it, scammed me out of hundreds of dollars. FIND ANOTHER COUNSELOR/THERAPIST, one who puts their clients over their money!

She promised me that I would not loose her as my therapist, she told me she cared about me, as one of her child's. I trusted Heather and really thought she cared about me and would help me, instead she hurt me and let me go. I need help and tried to reach out to Heather, she has been avoiding me, and doesn't respond back, the reason why I am reaching out to her is to let her know that I can't find other provider and that I am crying for help. I have schizo effective disorder, I hear voices and see things, I don't feel well, and I have no support, or help, I need help, I can't find anyone else, I have been looking but nobody accepts my insurance. Heather means a lot to me, she was the only one who helped me, she means everything to me, shes a great person and the best therapist out there. All I wanted was help, I really liked working with Heather, she really understood me and made me happy, I was always happy to see her, shes very well educated and knows how to work with me and help me, I don't understand what happened, I am very hurt upset, and feel like hurting myself, I have nobody to talk to, and no help, I am being honest.I feel that nobody cares about me, and that nobody wants to help me anymore, I feel suicidal, and really thinking about ending my life. I have a serious mental illness, I don't feel well, I am very depressed, and the voices are very loud, telling me to kill myself, and I am a mistake being born etc, I keep getting headaches and feel light headed, I want help... Heather you really hurt me, and you broke my heart, I really thought you cared about me, and that you would help me, I trusted you, and you took advantage over me, you left me alone with no help and support, you were the only person I trusted, and the only one I looked up to, you mean everything to me, your such a great therapist, who promised me that would help me. Why did you hurt me like this and let me go? I miss you a lot, I feel hopeless, and lost with out you helping me, I don't want to live anymore, nobody cares about me, I am going to commit suicide, i don't want to live anymore. Every time I seek help, I end up getting hurt, why? Am I really that bad of a person, that nobody cares or wants to help me? Nobody cares, I've been reaching out to you Heather and you ignore me, and avoid me, that is what I get for working with you and trusting you, you don't care about me, and that I am crying for help. I am going to end my life, I give up and I am done. I no longer believe in therapy, and no longer believe in anything anymore, nobody cares about me, I am going to end my life this time I will do it. This mental health clinic of Passaic is the worst place I have ever encountered in my whole life…read more The way the secretaries and the staff worked here was horribly awful. They make fun of patients because they think we are Ill and will never function in life. The director and the psychiatris/nurse practitioners are the most rudest most arrogant professionals I have ever met in my entire life when I was here. The wait time even in telehealth was 1 hour or 1 hour 30 minutes. who does that on a job? That is lazy and the way they've treated me was with no interest. They were quick and wanted to leave for the day, I suppose I saw in that place. what I'm saying is the truth. I even, see good feedbacks on this place which, is a lie too keep this place going. when I went to the bathroom in the waiting room it smells like someone barfed really bad and don't even clean the toilets and no wash hands or toilet paper. we had too go to the secretaries and they've given us a box of tissue. Nooooooooo! How is this place still running for the abuse they've done to the patients in there? This is not acceptable to no one. Society accepts this because they say even, in here it's life we need too learn too accept cruelty, It's apart of life. we are going too get put down by people. i understand but, in a rude way. No. we need too learn too care about other's not our greediness and obsessions in life I saw in there. I need to know why this is accepted? It is call abuse. No one should be abused because people with disabilities are you know not able too function correctly. That is what I saw in here. They staff treated us like we are dumb and slow. This isn't fair in anyone's part suffering mental illness. This is cruelty and way beyond a hell of abuse. This place treated us if this was a jail cell like if we are animals who are crazy criminals and i was not like that. I don't know this place should be evaluated on the behavior going on and teach these unprofessionals discipline on their behavior they've done to people with disabilities it is wrong and cruelty towards people needing help too cope with their issues which, none of these professIona's do here. it is a business and that's how they like it. I will never in my whole life will recommend this clinic neither the psychiatrist/nurse practitioners because they don't know how too prescribe medication and will make anyone sick and go to the hospital for no reason. This place should be restaffed or closed down in the future for their cruelty they've done to patients here. It is a waste of anyone's time. Please seek another place for treatment because these professionals will put you sick for life. Saying it from experience from this place. Please avoid this unprofessional place at all costs. I had an EEG done that revealed anxiety (as expected), which was really valuable to me in terms of confirming my own thoughts/experiences, but also giving me concrete data to work with and develop a plan. I started using Nexalin as often as I could and occasionally did Zengar as well. I gradually began to feel less stressed over classes, and felt I had a calmer, more present mentality in general. I stopped getting so anxious over exams and other more minuscule things that would normally cause me overactive anxiety. Obviously, these are things that require lifelong improvement and attention, but I felt noticeable changes much quicker than expected, and believe that with formal treatment guided by Dr. Adler, many would benefit. Everyone in the office is incredibly warm, genuine, and welcoming. Clients are approached with the same friendliness you'd experience with a family member or an old friend. This becomes very obvious when you see how the clients interact with staff and how they express their gratitude.
