    I am beyond frustrated with the Take 5 Plainview location and Take 5 as a whole company. I took my…read morecar to get an oil change on 6/16/25. The two employees working (one manager), stripped my drain plug, as well as drain pan, which resulted in me spending $1,000 dollars out of pocket (plus the $75 oil change) to get their mistake fixed. Not only that, they also attempted to blame Hometown Tire Pros, who are ironically the ones that fixed their damage. HTP did my last oil change in NOVEMBER of 2024 and my car worked perfectly fine until AFTER I left my oil change from Take 5 on June 16th. A man who walked in to HTP right after me on the 16th heard what I was dealing with and stated that his girlfriend works for this location and apparently this is something they are known to do all the time. He said, I quote, "yeah they cross thread vehicles all the time but the manager doesn't care because it's hard to prove and they end up just filing a claim." Which is exactly what happened. I provided the diagnostician's report from HTP that was completed within 24 hours of the oil change on June 16th. It has been ridiculously hard to get in contact with anyone that would help me make this right. I have had to call time after time because no one had given me any information on my claim still after 13 business days. My case was escalated to Fleet Response, who have been unhelpful and rude as well. My case representative let me know this past Thursday (7/3/25) that my claim was denied. I asked if my diagnostician's report that the Take 5 customer representative CLAIMED they had included was taken into consideration and was told that it wasn't attached to my claim. I emailed that documentation AGAIN (7/3/25), and still have not heard anything from my case representative. A word of advice- Do NOT go to any Take 5 locations. A simple google search about their shady work will tell you all you need to know. I have used Take 5 since I was 15 years old and would've hoped that they would treat loyal customers better than what I have had to deal with. Highly recommend Hometown Tire Pros to do any work you need, the owner worked extremely close with me during this process so I knew exactly what was going on and what he was doing to help me fix it. He even graciously gave me a discount on the work because I am a teacher here in Plainview.
