Retired to our room (Shepherd's Loft) with a very tasty bottle of wine, complimentary treats, and a movie. Our room was perfect for us, the smallest one I think, but plenty of room and a very nice bathroom. Even though the part of the house was built in the 20's, everything seemed new. Got wifi in our room. The bed and linens were super comfy. Breakfast was at a not-too-early 9:00am and was delicious. I was glad I didn't make lunch plans, we were barely hungry by dinner time. We got a fun little tour of the winery operations downstairs by Chris. We couldn't get the sheep or donkeys to come to the fence to be pet, but they are friendly. Sadly we had to head onto the next leg of our trip, otherwise we would have done some of the trails. Sherry and Chris were really nice, personable, and funny. We absolutely loved our short stay and plan to come back next year. Back story: We just renewed our licenses to get the new special star for TSA. The Minnesota DMV stated as long as we had our voided license with the printed paper given to us with all the new license information, it would count for a temporary until we received our new licenses. We go to check out and the an older gentleman says can I see an ID? My boyfriend says sure no problem and hands him his voided license. The gentleman looks at it and back at my boyfriend then says dude are you kidding me? My boyfriend explains the whole license renewal story and how he has the paperwork from the DMV to go with it. The gentleman says this isn't valid you can fake this. He goes into a story about how he had a 19 year old come in with ONLY the paper print off and the gentlemen sold him alcohol. Since that happened with that customer he then starts accusing us of having fake IDs. We state yet again it's a legal document the DMV gave us. The gentleman states again it's not valid and tries to pull up the fake form online. Now I know every store has the right to refuse service. We would've had no problem taking our business elsewhere if this gentleman was that nervous about excepting that form of ID. But do NOT accuse us of forging government documents. That was unacceptable service. For myself and other customers I would recommend shopping at other liquor stores from now on.

My wife and I are vegetarian and they did a great job in catering to our needs. We ended up ordering a vegetarian taco/nacho buffet and a charcuterie board with no meat. This is where the pleasantries will end. Fast forward to our wedding reception day. We walk into the venue and the first thing we notice are multiple platters of meat on our charcuterie board. Tough start to the night.......as we were wanting a meat free wedding. To us, eating vegetarian is a very important value and seeing the meat was pretty devastating. Next, the power temporary went out (due to a nasty storm) so we weren't able to use the nacho cheese machine (something we paid for). Lastly, the leftovers were thrown away when we were told that they'd be packaged up. Coming to present day. We just got off the phone with our caterer contact, Jessica Koenen. We would have been fine with an apology and a small refund on the food that wasn't used and the meat. Even with all that happened, Jessica was not willing to refund us for even a small portion of our bill and even insinuated that it was our fault for not confirming with her that we didn't want meat on the charcuterie board. She wasn't willing to take responsibility for THEIR mistake. We even have it in our wedding notes to ask about a meatless charcuterie board- which we did discuss with her at our tasting. She then had the audacity of saying that we should have noticed on the invoice that it said "Charcuterie board" instead of "Charcuterie board without meat". There was NO WAY that we would have known that!! All our other vendors sent us a partial refund for the services that weren't provided because of the power outage even though they had no control over the weather. That is how business is done. 4 sisters catering decided to blame us for the charcuterie board, nacho cheese, and leftover food. They decided to take no responsibility for the night. We would have been fine with a $100 refund for the nacho cheese. Even though the total cost that we already paid for and was wasted on the day over was substantially more. Lack of responsibility is not how quality businesses operate. I would avoid using 4 sisters and Jessica for your next event.

The drinks are all ice, we're talking if the glass could hold 1 3/4 cups, the ice cube is 1 1/4 cup and you don't even get a half cup of liquid because the glass is filled so low there's zero risk of spillage. My Lavender Haze was good, it was just miniscule--and the same went for the Stormy Weather and I'm Old Fashioned. It seems like the "savory boards" are brought in from outside and they have zero knowledge of what a charcuterie board should be: no cheese, berries, etc. Maybe the dessert simpleton thought the tiramisu was innovative, but the crust was rock hard and my husband with the stronger hands had to chip away at it. Lastly, the the music. H3O = not jazz. No jazz standards, and what they did play sounded like poppy elevator music. Why did I give them four stars? My pure Pollyanna heart.
