This was my third time at this new shop and I know that this place will become my regular shop There is a wide variety of services along with a basic haircut, shaves, facial massages, etc. I try to come mid-day and during the week as they tend to get very busy here. They are very through here and what I think should take 15 minutes always takes 30-45 minutes for the compete "hair-cut" experience. It's obvious from the many 5 star reviews they people are happy here. Not sure about the 1-3 star ratings but I feel (along with many others) that 5 stars are warranted. He is a perfectionist through and through. Watching him work is like watching a sculpturist in action. Somehow, he is able to multitask with fun and witty banter and conversation all while staying completely focused and in the zone. He makes it look easy. He used to work at a unisex salon called Hair Touch, over on 69th ave. He was there for decades, as was their whole team! Eventually, to my best knowledge, most of their loyal clientele were aging and were progressing further and further into their later years. Eventually, they closed down shop. It was very sad to see but they have tons to be proud of. They served many many generations of families within their community and Mario continues on their legacy here at Elegant Barber Shop.
