RUINED MY HAIR!! wanted to try out a new barbershop for my birthday haircut, they completely ruined my hair. I showed the Barber that cut my hair how I wanted it and it is nothing close to what I showed him. He also failed to line up my haircut as well. After the haircut was complete, another barber had to clean my face off, the Barber that was cutting my hair failed to do that. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR KIDS. Dropped off my teenage son to get a haircut this past weekend, barber threateningly smoked next to him and my son came out smelling like the smoke. He felt uncomfortable the entire time and said that they were harassing the old couples outside and the young girls, while blasting explicit songs. Just like many others have mentioned in their reviews, I have walked by this shop many times watching people getting haircuts or professional shaves and have wanted to try the place out when I had the chance. Finally, I decided to try the "Hot Towel Shave" for $30 and, to me, it felt rushed and not necessarily with the attention to detail that I would have expected. The shaving portion of the experience went too fast over my skin and at the incorrect angle, causing a reaction afterwards as well as an un-fine shave which one would not expect to come from a place charging for it. I had to re-shave once I got home in order to balance out the remaining hairs which had been missed, making this visit a bit of a disappointment. To add to the surprise, I also was not aware that this place was cash only at first as there is no sign in the front that says that, only an ATM in the back of the place that you see once you go to pay. Been wanting to take my son here for a long time bc it so aesthetically beautiful and figured it's a barber shop they will do great with fades but worst decision I ever made... When we walked in there was a gentleman applying a wax on his client and I ask how long it would be if we waited since we didn't book an appointment. He pleasantly said he can have a seat in the chair next to him and when someone is done he will be next... thought great. My son called and asked if I can come explain to the barber what he wanted. I walked in and my son was sitting in another barbers chair. I explained to the guy what I wanted, a fade but not showing skin and a trim on top. I then showed him a picture of what his hair looks like after a fresh cut. He said ok...I explained again please there's no room for error bc he has a sweet 16 and I don't have time for it to grow a bit for repairs... I usually cut his hair myself but my son wanted to try a barber... huge huge mistake.. he asked how short should he start i again explained no shave, the barber next to him asked me, you want it like mine correct... I said yes exactly like his... he started doing the fade which was ok not bad but then what happened next I jumped out of my seat but it was too late... he trimmed the nape of the neck but instead of following and cleaning up the natural lines of the hairline he went up about an inch or more higher and it was too late to fix but on top of the he rounded it took the all the way round the entire hairline. I was in shock but there was nothing to do other t then to shave fade which was something I did not want... He then asked how much he should take off the top and I said a trim, please follow the way the cut he has it, he tells me it's uneven I told him no, his hair grows more on one side then the other. I then went to go get lonely from my car and my daughter calls me and said he cut the front part of his hair box like... when I arrived back i saw he was being rude to my daughter, making all kinds of faces and bugging his eyes out at her and telling her he knows best and this is how he does it for 20 yrs.. she referred back that just bc you like doing it that way doesn't mean that's what we wanted... I moved his front hair up and again was in shock, my daughter let him know why did you do that, you saw he didn't have that before now growing it out is going to take months.. and he says just pay me my money. Instead of saying I'm sorry your not happy, what can I do to make you happy, he says give me my money. She then tells him I do t appreciate how you are speaking with me and he bugs his eyes out at her again and takes the money from her hand and says you can go now... this was the white, heavy set light eye guy right at the from of the glass station, we didn't get his name but heading out the gentleman that greeted us when we first walked in apologized and said the only thing we can do to fix it is to shave fade it.. I told him yes I know, thank you but we can't do that he has a party tonight.. he again apologized for the whole scene and handed me his card and said please give us another chance and come to him. Honestly he was excellent, so professional(didn't get his name but he's the first chair by the glass door, he's got darker hair, medium skinned and fit). I would have loved to support this barber shop bc it looks like an old fashion beautiful decorated shop and it would have been great that while I shop I can get my sons hair cut... we just don't feel comfortable bc of the guy who ruined my sons haircut which will take months to grow in the front and will have to go through that grow out awkward phase... If you do go here, ask for the gentleman by the front door, his professionalism was the best... watching him for the short time I was there, his work was excellent but can't say the same for the guy right behind him in the front window... avoid him at all costs! read more

I want to thank the owner of the shop for the awesome cut. One of the fastest barbers I've came across and I travel the country for a living. I was impressed with the atmosphere in the shop and how well the customer service is! They made me feel welcomed. I asked for a low skin fade, I was in and out within 15-20 minutes.
