From the moment he walked in the room, I immediately trusted him and knew I was in good hands. His bedside manner is impeccable and he really takes the time to listen to you to make sure he's giving you the best recommendations. Unlike many doctors I've met in the past, he's not quick to shove a prescription in your face and have you on your merry way, which I really appreciate. He's also really good at making what would be awkward questions a more casual (and humorous) conversation. I just moved to the area and I'm glad I found him, because this will be my primary doctor moving forward. I highly recommend him and I'm going to be referring my friends and family members to him. Recently I tried to make a follow-up visit with my physician Dr. Alday. First I was told that he would be out for several weeks. I made an appointment with one of the other physicians. When we had our telemedicine appointment she asked why I didn't see Dr. Alday. I told her what I was informed he would be out for a while as his wife just had a baby. She looked into it out of curiosity and said he did not just have a baby (a different doctor did.) the offices internal calendar said he is working on a project. It was upsetting that we were not informed of this unavailable time, I then got very sick a few days after my follow up appointment and saw a third doctor. I would just like to know ASAP Monday whether or not Dr Alday will continue to be our physician and if so, when will he begin to be available again. Both backup doctors were very nice and knowledgeable but not the office staff as they still can not tell us when he will be available. They even say that they can not tell us when he will will be available and why he isn't available now. even tell us when we can see our physician & why he cant see patients in the future. I would appreciate knowing. I was very upset for both of us. My husband & I I are longtime patients of his. This is extremely upsetting to both of Us. My husband goes every month, and I go approximately ever 3 months. I don't know why there is so much confusion at the support staff level. Or maybe it is secrecy. We believe we deserve a clear answer on this because if we should be evaluating different doctors from different practices. We would appreciate a clear answer on whether or not your office is suggesting we see someone else. I would appreciate if the staff could look into these matters and get back to us by finding out when or not they will be able to confirm our doctor will be able to still care for us. Beginning the process of finding another physicians. is will take us time. We like Dr Alday and have been long term patients of his., if he is no longer taking patients we believe your office should have have known about the doctors and will he still be able to keep us as patients. They don't communicate with each other which is why they never have accurate information for the patients. I've been calling for two months and today one nurse foolishly confirmed that the front desk hasn't been putting in any notes for pcp Mannam to return my calls in regard to come cardiovascular equipment! She thought she was doing something by explaining she sees two notes in my account, but where are the others that the front desk staff claimed to have put on my account? Exactly, because these incels aren't doing their job. I literally stop breathing in my sleep and I'm waiting till today for the stuff I need to help me. Does this sound like a place you would want to come to? They'll try to blame your health insurance as well, I've already contacted them and they've done their job. This is all an issue with Mannam Medicial at 1170 castle hill Bronx NY. I wouldn't recommend this place to a rat and I won't recommend the front desk staff of Mannam to a new job either. I needed a doctor around my home to be my PCP. I'd been traveling between boroughs for years, but…read moreduring COVID, my old PCP refused to open his doors and would turn away patients, having his receptionists tell us to go to urgent care, no matter what the issue. I just needed a physical, but was turned away. It was then that I finally made the leap to a new doctor (long overdue). I found Dr. Mannam's office and was happy to report that this far, he is a doctor that follows up with my care and is generally kind and provides prompt feedback regarding my health. He ends every visit with a hug (not in a creepy way), and it is refreshing given that my other doctor was so impersonal. At Dr. Mannam's, you feel cared for. Sometimes the reception desk gets overcrowded and it could take a while to be acknowledged, but I just wait patiently, sign in and then approach when someone is free. When I have an appointment, I'm glad to say that I haven't had to wait longer than 15-20 minutes to be seen. Other offices I've been to, I've had to wait 1-2 hours even WITH an appointment! Without an appointment, I've waited up to two hours as this office is popular in the neighborhood. Hope this review helps. Even with the risk of overcrowding his office, I would recommend Dr. Mannam.
