Also, originally we were going to get picked up from Chicago Union Station, and we changed it to Homewood two days before before we left. There was no charge, and the person on the phone at Americar shuttle changed the reservation quickly, courteously, and no change in price. They seem very flexible and customer oriented.

Shane took us to a wine trail in Geneva and he was so patient and accommodating. We had emailed other companies that offer tours but I found Shane to be the nicest person and also very prompt in his responses. The prices are also very reasonable. I know during this pandemic we are worried about sanitation and social distancing. Shane's transportation was very clean and Shane had a mask on the whole time. We also made sure we had our mask on throughout the ride and tour. Geneva is this small little town and there is so much to do there. Lots of shopping, restaurants, chocolate shops, and of course wine. Shane did all his research and it was nice because some of the tasting rooms and the winery were expecting us. The driver seemed very grumpy and was telling US to hurry and get loaded after several of us had been waiting since before 7:45 for what was SUPPOSED to be a 7:50PM pickup. This is Saturday night, not weekday rush hour, btw. I called the office twice; was first told the driver was 20 minutes late. When it was 8:30, I called back and was told the driver got stuck on the tollway (apparently she was actually struck by a car) and would be get another 5-10 minutes. 15 minutes later, at 8:45, a bus finally showed up at the Int'l terminal, but is now picking up from the rest of the airport. Of course half the people didn't/don't have their tickets (or don't know how to pull up on their phones) so he and the ticket woman had to do all that; then sit at the last pickup point until 9:15, but they are still trying to get all the tickets out of people. By the time we get out of here and on the road, we won't arrive at my station after 10PM, and I still have to get a ride from there. They really should have some kind of announcement system and backup plan available. I'm exhausted and this is just the last thing I needed. I will have spent 3 hours at the airport because of this added to the usual international arrival rigamarole. At least the driver and ticket lady could have been friendly and apologetic, but they are being neither. Have yet to hear any kind of apology or explanation. Not okay. We are finally leaving the airport. It is 9:22PM. For a 7:50 scheduled pickup. I am not a happy camper.

Our tour guide was a retired high school history teacher and football coach with all sorts of interesting stories about the region. We passed Mount Baldy, the "living" sand dune that moves, at Indiana Dunes National Park and made it all the way down to a good view of the Century of Progress homes before making our way back. We also got to hear all about the ship, the Emita II, which is a historic ship from the 1950s, and about how it reached its current home. It was also very cute that Captain Jan had the kids come up and take turns at the wheel on the way back. There is a snack bar on the lower level of the boat, and there are restrooms on board. Free parking is available a little walk away - walk towards the Lighthouse Museum, as the dock is behind there. Definitely a great adventure!

They suggested I get it towed to their shop which I agreed too. They told me they will look at it, and give me a price before doing anything. It took two days for me to get a price or an update about my car even after asking multiple times. I asked multiple times for a price BEFORE working on my car they literally said they did the work anyway I have text messages showing me asking for them to not do anything work until I get a price which then the lady on the phone said "we already fixed it and THEN gave me a price ... which then they held my keys hostage because I was $5 short on payment, Because they wanted to upcharge me for using a card. I was yelled at by two different people. I stood outside their business for 30 minutes while they ignored me like children. The lady on the phone hung up on me multiple times. The guy at the shop told me "fuck u" I left literally shaking. I will never call this number again and I'll advise others not to do so or u might get ur car held hostage like I did. Like I said communication was trash, customer service was terrible. As far as getting ur vehicle serviced. But the tow truck man was nice
