I cannot recommend all about vacations enough. Late last year we had to change our plans due to Jamaica experiencing a devastating hurricane. Our travel agent, Kari, worked so hard to make sure we still had a dream vacation. We ended up being able to stay longer for cheaper elsewhere once it was all said and done. She truly made a stressful scenario into a happy ending. Before we left, we all met together and she gave us a packet with literally anything and everything we needed- down to tips and tricks (like bringing dehumidifier bags- that really helped on our tropical vacation). I don't think we will ever go on a vacation again without Kari's help. She really made the process so simple. I told her when, where, and how long, and she handled the rest in record time. Lack of communication and only corresponding by email. We booked a group trip to Jamaica with Kari. The trip started out with the potential of 20 couples but only 3 couples landed up going. We contacted her almost a year in advance and were told flights weren't out so we had to wait. Flights came out and I called her, no answer so I emailed her, I was told in so many words she was very busy and would get to me when she could. Long story shortened, she did book our trip and collect payments, all through email. She told us she would be in touch 30 days before our trip. At the 3 week mark I reached out and again heard how busy she was and that she would get to me. She finally sent the travel documents I needed. I never spoke to her at all, her emails seemed snippy and I feel as if it truly was a bother for her to book this trip for us. Im sad about this as she came highly recommended. Maybe she truly is just too busy. I definitely will go back to booking my own trips. read more

Traveling during this time...ugh...it can be confusing and scary. But not when you book with All About Vacations! Kari is the best. She leaves no detail untouched. I just returned from a trip to Jamaica and was a little nervous to be traveling out of the country. But it was SO easy! Yes...you have to have a Covid test before you go AND before you come home (even if you're fully vaccinated). But soup to nuts..Kari guided me through it, even recommending a local healthcare facility that she knew would have the results back in a timely manner, and also guiding me through the paperwork I would need to travel, literally telling me WHAT the paperwork has to say (yes...that's a thing). She also guided me through the process of registering for the COVID test I would need to return (done at the resort the day before departing home), and the insurance offered by the resort in case you test positive at the resort and need to quarantine. Did you know that many resorts will charge you the "going rate" should you need to be quarantined,and not the fabulous rate you booked at...for the lowest category of room? Yeah, neither did I. And I wouldn't have unless Kari had told me and arranged the insurance. YET ANOTHER REASON TO USE A TRAVEL AGENT. It's their JOB to know!! And at All About Vacations...they KNOW!!! This trip was a breeze for this first time Jamaica traveler.....but I wouldn't have known where to start, and it would have been a total nightmare without the guidance of my trusted friend and travel agent. And this was on top of all the other details she handled...recommending properties, suggesting activities, making sure the excursions we were interested in were operating, explaining the ESSENTIAL travel insurance, and arranging transport between the airport and resort. Kari hooked me up with a service that meets you at your gate, literally whisks you through customs and immigration, and delivers you to the VIP lounge where you sip a cool rum punch while you wait for your shuttle. I was literally in and out of the airport with a cocktail in hand before others on my flight were half way through the immigration line. Greatest. Service. Ever. So if you are nervous about traveling...but really want to get back out there...and don't want to risk losing your hard earned money....get your butt on the phone to Kari,or any of the agents at All About Travel. They will work hard for you so all you have to worry about is what number SPF to take!! read more

THIS COMPANY WAS AWFUL DO NOT USE! We tried to book a destination wedding with my sister-in-law. The 4 of us went in, decided on a date and hotel. Then a month later we find out that the dates they booked us did not have ANY wedding dates available (to which our agent Jaci blamed on us). Not only that, the hotel SHE helped us choose did not even offer a beach wedding which is something the bride specifically asked for! Because they refused to give us a full refund FOR THEIR MISTAKE we reluctantly settled on a different area/hotel, which added another $300 per couples final bill. After being reassured by the owner herself and the agent that this was it, everything was finalized and booked we felt better about the situation. Until 5 days later they informed us of all these hidden fees which was adding an extra $300 to the bride and grooms bill and an extra $100 to ours. Only after we all became upset and threatened to cancel did the owner offer to pay the $300 hidden fees (which why offer to pay unless you knew it was your mistake), but at this point we had had enough. So in conclusion they turned what should have been an exciting fun time into a miserable, stressful, month long saga. You use a travel agent so you don't get blind sided by all these extra fees and they help you get what you want. Not this place. ALL ABOUT VACATIONS does not care about their reputation, customers and the fact that they now cost us money for a trip we cannot even go on anymore. I can't believe the wonderful service you receive from All About Vacations :-) My husband and I are fairly well traveled, and have experienced nothing but the best from the staff at All About Vacations. Right now we are looking for another vacation and we contacted our travel agent to discuss what we were thinking. She recommended a few properties in Jamaica for us that meet our needs and wants(BTW- no other agency will remember what you like for YOUR vacations - Kari knows what we like, and makes pointed suggestions so we don't waste our time reviewing resorts that will not make us happy). We flew out of Chicago in a storm, our plane was delayed and I was panicked when we were getting ready to land in ATL for our layover (we had already missed our flight). I turn on my phone, and KARI WAS ALREADY ON TOP OF IT! Who does this? Most travel agents simply book your vacation and call it a day. Kari and her associates at All About Vacations were there to ENSURE a positive travel experience! We got a new flight, and upon arrival to Punta Cana, Kari had already contacted our transfer company and resort to notify them of the changes. This is customer service that has gone ABOVE and BEYOND. So far, we have only booked Maui and Punta Cana with All About Vacations, and we are in the process of booking more as I type. You should give them a try! read more

My friend, her fiancé, and myself used All About Vacations to plan our trip to Thailand, which we just came home from (It was BEYOND beautiful and highly recommend anyone to visit!!). All About Vacations did a great job with arranging our hotels and ground transfers throughout out trip without any problems, but there were some issues prior to the vacation. There was not much communication or email from our travel agent for some of my documents. She instead emailed my final documentation to my friend and not myself. Right before my flight (literally when I was in line at the international check-in counter) I had a serious issue with my name being spelled incorrectly on my boarding pass/itinerary. This must have occurred when we had our previous flight cancelled/changed months ago and my travel agent did not catch the mistake in spelling. While I was in the check-in line she texted me several messages about how my name was spelled incorrectly by the airline and how it wasn't her fault and how the airline representative was just horrible so she hung up on her, but offered no solution or answers to the problem at hand. I was told my only option was either to pay for an entire new flight ($2,000 approx ) or I would not be allowed on the flight. The final advice I was given from my travel agent was to not say anything to anyone at the check-in counter and just see what they say. Luckily all the check-in personnel at China Eastern Airlines were phenomenal with helping and handling the situation. They noticed the mistake immediately and had me sign a waiver verifying my correct spelling and had a new boarding pass for me at our gate after some more documentation. After this issue I still had to contact my travel agent to get my corrected return flight information emailed to me after several days, and I contacted the manager of this company to get a copy and make her aware of my situation at the airport. I was met with several excuses by the manager for the delay in receiving my corrected information because of the long "to-do list" and how busy things are and she also had assumed I had overlooked the spelling mistake myself and that she "could see how it could be easy to have that play a trick on my eyes"....... even though I never actually received the final documentation from her staff member and therefore never looked at it myself. There was never once a real apology for the inconvenience or panic it put on me right before my flight. I honestly did not think based on what she was saying that I would be going on this trip. It was lax on my part that I did not additionally request my final documentation after not receiving it but in my eyes you should be confident in your travel agency enough to handle your documents, especially when there are a million other things to worry and prepare for prior to going on an international trip such as this. Mistakes can happen but how this issue was handled was in a very unprofessional manner. There was no solution or answers or reassurance from my travel agency who were more concerned that it wasn't their fault than coming up with an actual productive solution. read more

Incredibly unprofessional! This travel agency used a voucher that was intended for me and used it for someone else's vacation without my permission. When I asked what was going on, the travel agent said she was told that I was not going to be using it but never asked me if this was true. The travel agent initially said she would pay to cover my voucher, then a few days after said it wasn't fair for her to do this. Then went back and forth on if she would pay or not. Regardless, the entire experience was completely unprofessional using words such as "my bad" and was just down right rude to me when I did nothing wrong. I would not recommend anyone use this agency. I finally did receive my voucher but I had to keep pushing for her to get it for me. As a customer, I should not have to be the one constantly following up on it, that is the travel agent's job! read more
