June 29, 2023 - Thankful Thursday…read more Review #435 - First To Review I am so glad today on Thankful Thursday to write My Review about my family doctor that I have known for 10 years. At the beginning of the year she moved to this practice with new name Alliance Health Macomb. Her family medicine practice is with another physician in Suite 300 inside the Shelby Medical Mall. The staff here with check-in (Peggy) and check-out are very pleasant and efficient at their jobs. The lobby is very large and welcoming with wellness and sick areas to sit while waiting for my appointment. I have seen Dr. Kristen Kavanaugh every September (My Birthday Month) for a wellness check up and also in between if and when I am sick. Back on March 10th I consulted with her on the phone with a video chat about my decline in health while working at my job. She listened with great concern and attentiveness to my symptoms, then gave me some advice till my appointment at the end of March plus an inflammation medication for 4 months. Her Education and Knowledge makes Me very comfortable when she listens and communicates to Me in a timely manner, not rushed with my appointment. We discuss my health issues and treatments or suggestions within strict confidence. She demonstrates Comprehensive Care in a Personal Way! So I was having day and night pain in hands, legs, low back and neck for about two months from February to March while working a housekeeping job. During my 1st appointment on March 24th she examined my swollen hands and legs. She referred Me to visit the Henry Ford Medical Center on Hall Rd to have Ex-rays of back, legs and hands plus bloodwork to determine my diagnosis which was true as she thought. She even followed up with Me after my tests by phone and messaging Me in My Chart online before my follow up appointment on April 17. I am pleased that Dr. Kavanagh along with my other three medical doctors are affiliated with Henry Ford Health plus use this App to connect with patients and myself called "My Chart!" When I receive an email from Henry Ford Health, I can connect in My Chart to receive a message from her, make appointments, view test results, message her back, get refills on prescriptions, and also Henry Ford Billing is connected in it as well. It is an Awesome health feature for Me as a patient. No more phone calls or waiting on hold or please leave a message.... Dr. Kavanagh specializes in Family Medicine and Services Primary Care. Her residence is at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. She is very understanding, personable with compassionate. She uses her medical professionalism in a helpful way with suggestions and solutions to improve my health whether with urgent or non-urgent visits. I recommend her if you are looking for a family doctor since she is also currently accepting new patients. I visit different medical practices and doctors affiliated with Henry Ford such as My Family Physician, OBGYN, Optical, Orthopedic & Dermatology Physicians on a yearly check up basis and when I am ill. My review is for a Family Medicine & Primary Care Practice located at 51221 Schoenherr Rd., Suite 201 in Shelby Township, MI. 48315. My records at this medical practice are from visits in December 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 with health check ups or health issues. This Family Medicine provides a wide range of Primary services plus Video Visits, COVID-19 testing, blood work, weight management. I am also a member of "My Chart" with Henry Ford which is wonderful to access on line with Non - Urgent visits, or prescription refills in which I can email my doctor and she will reply back within 24 hours in a text chat message system. My Chart also keeps a record of my visits, test results, doctor reports, billing, and appointments. "My Chart" will also send Me reminders to schedule my yearly Mammogram and Bone Density Tests two months prior from the previous year. My Doctor is Kristen E. Kavanagh, DO who is understanding by using her medical knowledge, showing concern and needed professionalism with great advice and care in her field. This office also has blood testing instead of an outside Lab. If Dr. Kavanagh is unavailable I can also rely on her PA: Angela T. Wilson who shows the same strong professionalism as well. Dr. Anthony L. Cardellio is available as my 3rd choice in this Family Medicine Practice and I have not seen him for my past medical care.
