This place does NOT care about you. Their phone message prompts you to leave your number, wait for a confirmation, and then disconnect. On more than four occasions, I have followed their prompts to the letter, and today alone, three calls in to the letter and no return phone calls. They use that as a way to escape from being responsible customer service representatives. They have no intention of calling you back, nor do they care to; if they did, they would. I'm looking for a replacement for this company, so I don't have to deal with their nonsense any further. I've talked to their in-house staff quality control person, and it's like talking to a wall. I am a sixty-four-year-old man, The father of three special needs adult females. I have Parkinson's disease, depression, anxiety and a form of leukemia and currently off on medical leave. My wife and I work very hard to support and take care of our three daughters. One of our daughters is on a ventilator, has a trach and has a nurse here for ten hours every day. We also have a severely autistic twenty year old daughter who is currently being hospitalized for aggressive behaviors. In autistic people, their behaviors are their words.When they can't physically tell you how they're doing they act out. I called my daughter's primary care doctor in concern for her yesterday while she was in the hospital and in soft constraints and was extremely upset. After all that the doctor finally looked at her file from the hospital and called me today and said she was unsafe for us and the staff and because of my concern for my daughter and solely based on that one conversation I had with the doctor yesterday , and after apologizing he kicked the whole family out of their business ! Right now I'm speaking for my daughter. I am her words ..what i'm going to say to you dr. G.. You said I should watch my words before I say them, and I'll say to you. These words are our daughters unspoken words. And what you must learn from this as that autistic people talk to you THROUGH their behaviors. Because the lack compassion, this was a very cruel and malicious DEED ON A SPECIAL NEEDS AUTISTIC FEMALE. EVERY time I go for labs the order is never submitted by Silver Pine. Have not been for 1 X-ray or blood draw that didn't require a call to the office for them to fax an order that should've already been in. This adds substantial time to getting anything done. It's not an aberration I don't go to the doctors very often but this has been years of experiences. Also, getting prescriptions filled and renewed can be very hit or miss. Silver Pine's customer service has been declining for years and is now unethical. Replacing people with automated messages that literally hang up on you after promising a call back (which often doesn't happen) has made it impossible to set appointments, check on results, etc in a timely fashion. We like our doctor, but overall this practice no longer cares about the patients. Like many organizations, an obsession for money, fueled by ineffective automated systems, has replaced compassionate customer serviced by actual humans. read more

I've been a patient at Silver Pine for years, from childhood to adulthood, but it seems they're now more concerned about growing as a practice than they are about patient care or loyalty. I put in a request for my yearly physical months prior. I'm no longer located on the east side of the state, so I have to make special trips just for my appointments if they aren't telehealth. A week before my appointment, I was told that the time *they* scheduled for me no longer worked because the FNP-C that I see (who I really liked - Kristina Batkins is wonderful) wasn't in that day. I explained to them my limited availability since I was making a special trip for the appointment and had to work around insurance requirements, they rescheduled for a few days later with a different provider who I had never seen before, and I made adjustments to my trip to accommodate. Ok, no big deal. The NIGHT PRIOR to my rescheduled appointment, I get a call that I was "somehow" scheduled for an in-person appointment in a telehealth slot, even though the person I originally spoke to about rescheduling confirmed the location address with me. It was obvious that they were making up an excuse for some incompetence on their end. I ask if there's anything they could do considering I made a trip to the east side specifically for this appointment and had limited days in town, they said I was out of luck and could look at rescheduling for some other time. Because I wasn't able to be seen that week, I ended up having issues with insurance, prescription refills, etc. They didn't seem to care. It's clear their priorities are with growing their practice, rather than maintaining their existing clients. It's disappointing to be a loyal patient for all these years (even making trips across the state to continue using their practice) and be discarded that easily. I've since found a new PCP and will no longer be a patient at Silver Pine. read more

I had a Wednesday morning appointment and the office never called in my Rx to my pharmacy as promised. I called the doctors office on Thursday morning and they guaranteed me that my Rx would be called into my pharmacy by the end of the day. They lied again.... I called the doctors office on Friday morning and the doctors office said that they would make it a priority and then did noting! They lied again.... I called again at 3:30 on Friday and again was told that this would be a priority and they would call my Pharmacy by the end of the day. They lied again.... I called on Saturday and was told that it would be a priority and will be called in to my pharmacy within two hours. They lied again.... I called the office again after two hours and was told that it might take up to 24 hours for the doctor to respond to my priority. Our family has been with silver pine for almost two years. You cannot call their office without being on hold just to speak to a receptionist for five minutes, from there it's a guessing game. You schedule an appt for a certain time and still sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes, then the exam room another 20 before the doctor even comes in. Better experiences with the PAs on staff than the actual "doctors". I have asked for referrals that I never received but was billed for. Inadequate care for a family all around. I've been there for probably 4 years. Today I was fed up. My appointment time was at 10:30. At 10:45 I asked if i was being seen. The secretary went to go check the rooms and the were all full. This is ridiculous. The phone system takes forever to get to an actual person! My mom waited for 20 minutes and STILL had to wait. My dad actually drove to the building and asked a receptionist to call my mom instead. It was faster for him to go and come back than it was calling.  Then, when she asked about their flu shots, they said they ran out. RAN. OUT. During flu season... She can literally walk into Kroger to get one but her doctor's office ran out?  She and my dad absolutely love their doctor and don't want to leave but this is horrible.  They are now looking into new doctors. It breaks their heart but they're done. Then, she tried to call back and asked if the receptionist could have her doctor call her back. By this point she was frustrated and fed up due to everything leading up to this call. The lady asked her what her problem was (ailment) and she didn't feel it was something she should know, as she is not her doctor, and that she just wanted her doctor to call her when he got the chance. The woman hung up on her.  Good job, silver pines. You successfully got a nearly 70 year old so fed up and frustrated that she's crying. Knowing she and my dad will be leaving their doctor that they love so much.  You, as a business, clearly don't care about your patients enough to find a resolution that both sides will be satisfied with. 1. Make it easier for your older patients to contact their direct office instead of the BS for all branches. That's pointless.  2. Work on getting your call center filled with better receptionists. They need to know how to handle polite callers as well as callers who are upset. Hanging up on someone should be the very last resort. Not the first.  3. How can a medical office RUN OUT of flu shots before flu season is even at it's worst yet people can WALK INTO a grocery store and get them with little to no issues?  Also, I emailed the support email give on a Google review and the person responding asked for the best number to call to talk to my mother directly and try to find a resolution to the issue and, over 24 hours later, no call. It's funny how people complain about services rendered through a physicians office, when they have never worked for one. I have worked for multiple physicians offices and pharmacy's. I have been a patient of Silver Pine Medical group for about 5 years. Some of these complaints are completely ridiculous. For example, to complain that you have an unpaid balance IN COLLECTIONS. Then complain that you cannot receive services is appalling absurd. No business is meant to run into the ground because of a customers unwillingness to pay their bills. Secondly, Pharmacy's will order tens of thousands of of flu shots during the curse of flu season. They also run out due to high demand , which is no different then what occurs at a physicians office. Your Doctor will typically order an equivalent amount of flu shots that were administered the previous year. They will reorder as the need demands, and if there is a year with a high infection rate this can occur multiple times. With my current employer, we have reordered six times in in the last three month, and will eventually stop ordering the injections. This will cause us to refer the services to local pharmacy's. Thirdly, the release of medical records must be HIPPA compliant. If you are not getting your records, most likely YOU DID NOT follow the practices policy regards records releases. A simple call and signature could remedy this situation. And finally, a practice of this size takes and makes thousands of calls a day. There will inevitably be a wait at times to call and schedule an appointment I have four children along with my husband, and I. I can say wholeheartedly that that we have never had these issues. I walk into their practice, I respect the staff and they respond in the same manner. If I have a wait, I understand that they see patients who have serious medical issues. Wait times reflect the physicians schedule, and I appreciate that when I am sick they take the time to address my concerns. I have physician favorites Drs. Patel, Maristela and Hall amongst others. When I call, I can always obtain an appointment with one of their physicians, and almost always my primary doctor. I am very appreciative of Silver Pine as they provide me a place that I can take my entire family too. You have to take reviews with a few grains of salt. Those that complain are far more likely to post and verbalize their anger then those that enjoy their experiences. Your welcome for the education, and I highly recommend this practice. read more

I've been a patient here for over 15 years (now looking for a new doctor) and this place has really gone downhill. From triple booking patient appointments so that you sit in the waiting room forever to their absolutely useless patient portal (don't bother sending your doctor a message through the portal, you'll get no response) you won't get the care you need here. Best bring a lunch if you have an appointment at Silver Pine as you can expect to be seen 45-60 minutes after your scheduled time. If you like talking to answering machines instead of people, you'll love this place as I'm not quite sure they actually have people who answer the phones. If you need a rush on a prescription refill and don't mind waiting 5-7 days for them to call it in to your pharmacy, once again, this is the place for you. Also, they seem to have changed their prescription policies for many medications where you get no refills. So your options are to call it in and beg for a refill or if you are real lucky, they'll insist you schedule a doctors visit before authorizing a refill. The typical doctors visit charge is $150-$160 of which I end up paying up to 50% after my BCBS co-pays and deductibles. By the time it's all said and done, that $20 prescription ends up costing me a cool $100. read more

But with this companies new rules you can't get in to see a doctor if you are over 65 !!!! Isn't that age discrimination ??? If it was possible for me to give this practice negative stars I would. My husband has been dealing with their inept back office for almost a month trying to get the appropriate documentation for a new glucose monitor. They lie to patients, they lose paperwork and they are completely unresponsive to emergency requests. It's a good thing my husband has good control of his Type 1 diabetes, otherwise he'd be dead right now because they are unable to act quickly to manage chronic illnesses.. I am a new patient and they identified an infection that needed to be treated. I had terrific follow up from the person who handles their email messages. She actually called to clarify some information with me on Christmas Eve. I received a call from a person to discuss my issues. Very impressive these days of voice and text messages. Dr. Maristela seemed extremely knowledgeable and listened to any concerns I had. I look forward to continuing my care with this practice as they seem to understand patient care.
