I've…read morebeen in store 3-4 times the past year and she is always rude, doesn't even try to help or answer questions. So put out to have clients that she leaves the door closed and glares or rolls eyes if you open it. Today was the worst though. She belittled us for scheduling an appointment without knowing that they don't partner with our insurance, when I actually had! And I've used it there multiple times, same network, same plan. Tried to charge us a cancellation fee for wasting her time. Before booking, I knew they were separate from Costco and I used their own website to confirm insurance, co-pays and all. This girl refused us and was completely wrong and so rude! Later when I yelled at the manager about her behavior he was defensive until he looked it up and confirmed that our date of birth and plan matched their own system and previous records to see we were correct and he apologized for her behavior. But this is beyond ridiculous to be treated the way she does every time. I'm stupid for returning hoping it would be a different person, but not anymore. He has lost our business and that of many other people by the looks of it just because of her behavior and lack of attempt to even look into the one single insurance they partner with to see we were covered there.

Dr. Howell immediately identified the issue and got to work correcting it, having had years of experience with children and this condition. My little boy thinks Dr. Howell is his best friend which is very telling because my son likes very few people, ha ha. Dr. Howell is patient, kind, and makes the exams fun with "games" and prizes at the end to the point that my little guy requests I make more appointments. Additionally it is obvious that Dr. Howell truly cares for his patients more than his payout. I trust 1000% that my expenses are fair and necessary- something I've questioned at other places. The staff is kind and skilled, I don't have to wait weeks and weeks for appointments-I just can't say enough good things about this office!

Turns out Dr Howell has training with migraine day head injuries and possible eye traits that can make that occur. He checked things no eye doctor ever had and told me because of my specific eyes I had been over prescribed and it lead to headaches. When I left there I finally had faith restored in at least one eye doctor! If eyes could breath a sigh of relief that's how my eyes felt. Also, NO headaches with my new prescription!!!! Every appointment I've ever had at an optometrist felt like I was at a "vision mill" where they just check your prescription and try to get you out of the clinic as fast as possible to see the next patient. Dr Pierce took the time to break down the results of all of my test results in depth; perhaps since I'm an aspiring PA he could tell my nerdy passion for anatomy and went in greater depth because he noticed I appreciated it, but even still that's just the sign of an excellent provider! I never felt rushed during my appointment and he answered all of my questions about how to improve my dry eyes and even gave me regimen advice for hot compress as well as eye drop and eye health supplementation suggestions. During my exam, I could hear the doctors next door talking to their patient... but that was really the only criticism I had! They had so many machines I hadn't seen before and some traditional technology I'm used to. No need for dilation either! They spared no exam for my eye health. The cost was very reasonable! I get eye exams yearly and they went above and beyond most other places I have been. I don't have vision insurance by choice, and they happily gave me a lens prescription and measured my PD as well without giving me the run around. They also helped me with the possibility of contacts and even tried some on, which I just couldn't tolerate but haven't completely written off due to the amazing staff. The glasses here are pricy; However, you're paying for a service that other places wouldn't do for you. I would've gone to Costco or somewhere less expensive but the staff's amazing customer service is worth the extra cost. I had new piercings on my ear cartilage that were being snagged by my old glasses; Athena sat with me and found me some frames that would work with my piercings and I bought two pairs! I didn't even know the frame's legs mattered so much. She even went above and beyond and adjusted my existing pair and fixed and adjusted my old favorite pair that I bought elsewhere to be more comfortable while I waited for my pairs to come in. I never have problem with parking. The optometrist is nice and helpful, and the ladies in the front are great. The lady who ran the area for purchasing glasses is also friendly and does not push for expensive upgrades. I have been here before and thought everything was just great but coming with my dad who is wheelchair bound made me realize how inaccessible this place is. 1. No handicap automatic door. Getting through the door was a hassle because I had to hold the door open while trying to maneuver the wheelchair. 2. Unaware staff. The tech who did the initial exams did not know how to deal with someone in a wheelchair and was not making accommodations. I had to move things around, including machinery, so that my dad could access them. 3. Having to transfer to the exam chair. Hear me out. I am 5'3" and my dad is 6'2". Helping him transfer was not an easy task and the tech was no help--I had to ask her to move a chair out of the way and she did not know the foot rest moved (and figured it when it was too late). I hope that there are other optometrists that have accommodations for people in wheelchair, and next time I take my dad anywhere, I'll make sure to ask about accommodations and staff training.

I did 3 rounds of treatment for my daughter and changed insurances during it. I submitted my new insurance they kept reassuring me everything was fine i was paying every visit "for supplies" not as a co-pay but they covered it up as such. Then after all the treatments were done and 3 mts had passed so total 9 mtns they slapped me with a 3k bill and then didn't work it out with me and sent me to collections now with 5k. When I got them back they didn't fit my face so I asked the woman behind the counter to adjust them for me. She laid them upside down on a table and said they're fine. I told her my face wasn't a table. I went back two more times for an adjustment But they never fit right and I couldn't see out of them correctly. If I could give them a minus review rating I would. I spent too much money on lenses that don't work. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a business, let alone an optometrist office.
