I recently took my Buick in for an oil Change service. They didn't place my oil cap back on my vehicle. I immediately called them. They had to have my suv towed to their shop. I had to get a rental for the weekend. They reimbursed me the cost. However, as a caterer I had to refine a customer their money since we were not able to delivery their order. I was not aware before having my vehicle serviced that Mike sold it to a company that is franchising out of Atlanta. I was told to submit the paperwork for the rental and loss of income to be informed they are only paying for the rental. Do Not Take Your Vehicle Here. For years Nate was there and he is gone, Bryan left before the company was sold and only recognized face is Sarah. I reached out to the new owner and he has yet to return a call. Neva again will intake my vehicles here. I have also filed compliant with BBB If I could rate them a zero star I would. read more

VERY PRICEY! Lured me in with a coupon for a free diagonals. Turned out that they charged $150 for the diagnosis with a $15 discount. I decieded to move forward with the diagnosis as I was looking forward to the repair. Once I received the bill, I found that I was charged $15 for shop supplies, therefore i guess there wasn't a discount after all. Here is the KICKER! They correctly diagnosed a timing chain issue with a BILL OF $10,283.77. Then the super friendly staff guy changed. While he wasn't rude, his deamonor was very different. However, it could have been me. I was extremely blown away at the price. The work was for a Ram 1500. Guess what? The Dodge dealership on Lindbergh found the same problem and charged $3,160.58 to repair. THEY CHARGED 70% MORE THAN THE DEALERSHIP. Be careful. read more

Gary's Auto Service has always taken care of my car and gotten it in and out in a quick manner. They have fair prices and great workers.

I made the mistake of not making sure my windshield wipers were not thawed out before turning them on. Result, a $600.00 repair bill was estimated on parts and labor! I brought my vehicle back when instructed, I was 45 minutes late also and they immediately worked on vehicle. I was informed that they could repair my vehicle without having to put the new windshield wiper linkage on. They explained in great detail about either route of repair I decided to take and were very honest about the repair. My $600.00 repair became a $65.25 repair. Gary's Auto Service saved me $1600 when it was thought I needed a new compressor. They let me know the compressor is working and I didn't need a new one. It's nice to know there are still honest people! I will always take my car there! By the way, I've had my wipers replaced a few times over the years but they never were quiet. Gary's put new ones on the same day they worked on my AC. I used them this morning and it dawned on me the wipers were actually quiet and I wasn't cringing when they were on. I bought my 09 Impala SS to Gary's years ago for a belt replacement. Nate was my POC then and was my POC just recently. Nate remembered my car, I needed all my steering to be completely fixed. My car did not steer at all... I told them to fix it and it was done. I had some other issues that needed to be completed and it was done! They worked me and my husband. My husband also had his 01 Tahoe fixed with a new belt and it drives like a champ. We are happy customers! The good thing is even though we will be in another state my warranty on the work will travel! Nate told if I have any issues to call him and they will work things out in the state I am in! I called up there to see if I could get an appointment, and the person on the phone said I didn't need one. First thing they asked me was if I had an appointment. I use the vehicle for work, and took off the following day. We called around 1:00 to see if it would be done today. They said it would be ready. Waited around, and never heard anything. Went up there about 30 minutes before they closed, and it hadn't been looked at. Now I have missed a day's work and a day's pay, and the vehicle still isn't fixed. I would not recommend. read more

When the mechanic that I've used for the past 25 years retired and closed his shop I didn't know what I was going to do. I was referred to Gary's Auto Service and my experience has been great. I called the shop to make my appointment and they were able to get me in quickly. Because they have a shuttle service it was easy to get my car in and still get to work (and they could have picked me back up too). They took care of me and even provided me with pictures of the components that they recommended that I address. They have all of the benefits of a large chain (and even more) but the feel and service of a hometown mechanic. read more

We brought our van in due to overheating. Brian was easy to work with and told me exactly how they would handle getting the car situated. He called exactly when he said he would and provided an in depth diagnosis. He even explained and showed how the pricing was determined. The amount of the repairs was fair and they even provided financing options. That was a great perk considering it was also time for a mortgage payment. Flexible, fast, transparent, and courtesy are the words I would use to describe Gary's.
