Please do not make my mistake, I took a older weedeater that was still working into this shop for a tune up and new spark plug, they called a week later and said i should not put any money into it so i went that day to pick it up, he wanted to give it back in a box as parts, i told him the paper work when they took it in said it was still working just took a few more pulls to start it now, he reluctantly put it back together but would not put it back together and make sure it still worked and of course it did not work any longer and they put it back together backwards. I contacted the BBB but his response to them was a total lie, and of course i still do not have my weedeater working, i did go on a neighborhood site and there were so many people who also answered saying had the same problem with this shop. Please even the Echo representative that i talked too told me that this shop had other complaints. Please do not use this shop. read more

I have done business with Gassett's on and off for about 25 years. Each trip there I could see that these people had an attitude problem. They act and speak like they think they are doing you a favor to sell you something and you should be impressed about their knowledge of lawn equipment. I've been in business for almost 40 years in Dallas County and have too much respect for my customers to treat them any way except with kindness and appreciation. I was there today and in a discussion with a counter- help and decided this was the final time I would take these supercilious remarks. So I drove a bit farther to Crockett Service Center on Harry Hines and bought the chainsaw I would have bought at Gassett's. I've done business with Crockett for years as well and it's a drive for me but nicer people are hard to find. It's much larger and carries way more inventory and brand choices than Gassett's. Do yourself a favor and avoid Gassett's like the plague. read more

Gassett's is well stocked and has a great inventory. Johnny is a treasure trove of knowledge about lawn equipment although he can be short and curt in his answers. If you are looking for a great lawn equipment dealer look no further than Gassett's. Lacey is just about as knowledgeable as her father and more pleasant to talk with. Either one of them can answer most questions you might have especially if it is an older type of equipment.
