Im looking for some new chain saws and my search directed me here. Ive driven by this place(established 1968) for years, seen the sign but, guess I didnt have the need. When I entered I was immediately impressed by how well laid out everything was. Organized and orderly. I could see exactly where I needed to walk to in the spacious store. Needed a new place to after my longtime favorite repair shop at Bachman Lake closed and Mower Medic in Farmers Branch which was great, got bought out and now can't be bothered to answer their phone or return voicemail messages. Well, I have a new favorite. These guys are a pleasure to deal with, friendly staff, fair prices, fast high quality service and excellent communication. They require a deposit to take the equipment, but it is applied to the work that's done, which is totally fair. After doing a diagnosis, they called before doing any of the work to get approval, which they didn't have to since it was below the threshold I had set. The equipment now not only works great, but they took the time to clean it up cosmetically. I expect to be coming back to this place for a long time. The service was very fast, affordable, and great! I needed my lawnmower's carburetor cleaned out, so it would start back up for me. If you've ever had a problem with your lawn equipment and didn't know where to turn, you've found your haven. Richardson Saw and Lawnmower has everything you'll need to get your mower back on the mend! I had an old 80's era Toro mower that wouldn't start from sitting for years, Richardson Saw had the carburetor rebuild kit for it and got it back up and running. No sweat. When I needed a new mower, Richardson Saw was there to guide me through it. I got a new Honda mower, and a year later, I hit a bolt in the ground. It twisted the crank and wouldn't stay running. I stopped by Richardson Saw and they didn't have the parts in stock, but they got them for me in a couple days. The price was reasonable and everything fit just fine. I considered having them do the repair, but I'm pretty handy and thought I'd take a crack at it. The parts guys also do some of their maintenance so they know exactly what's going on and will give you helpful advice on how to fix whatever you have broke. They know what you need and haven't steered me wrong yet. Their sales, service and parts are all extremely experienced, so give them a try. You'll be glad you did. read more

Excellent lawn mower service department. I dropped off a Honda lawn mower for a warranty recall, and this place did a great job. I even got a phone call with a status update saying they had ordered the part for my mower and they let me know when they expected to finish it. Are you kidding me?!? I didn't even have to call myself to get an update?!? Awesome. This isn't your typical lawn mower repair shop with about a hundred rusty old pieces of equipment lying around that you have to pick your way though to get to a dirty counter. Good Price. Great Service! I purchased my Toro zero-turn rider from Richardson Saw 2 1/2 years ago. I've had them service it each year. Recently, the mower was having issues with the belt. So I called them, got some advice, but no success. Greg had it picked up on a Friday, serviced it across the weekend, and not only did Randy deliver it the following Monday, he cut a third of my front lawn (probably 1/4 acre) to test it out! Four years ago I purchased a Scag zero turn mower from Richardson Saw and Lawnmower. At purchase they were accommodating and professional. I took that as they were just into selling a unit. HOWEVER, I recently moved to Maryland and had an issue with my mower - nothing serious...just normal wear of a belt. The company I contacted about replacing the belt said it would take about two weeks to complete...they had to order the part. After they couldn't get the part in they put on another belt to get the mower running. They also ordered me a back=up just in case. Well after a month they finally got it in. I questioned they even got the correct part for me so I made a call....to Richardson. They looked up my unit gave me the part number at it was correct. These guys are pros at every aspect of their business. If you are serious about lawn equipment and want the best service and support this is the place to go. Pull up outside and you will see all the professional lawn and tree service trucks there to get service and buy equipment. Started using them when I couldn't get a Sears lawn mower repaired in a reasonable time or cost. They serviced my mower quickly and gave me good advice about replacement versus repair on a line trimmer. They carry what I believe are some of the best lines of equipment - Toro, Stihl, and Echo and service them. I have bought line trimmer and multi tools at different times and they always show you how to use them start them up and put gas in them. Just try to get that kind of service from one of the big box stores! Their prices are in line with what you would pay elsewhere. read more

Very nice folks and helpful. I took my lawnmower in to get checked out, it was spewing oil. The gentleman who assisted me told me it would cost a minimum of $100 to check it out, but he sold me a $7 oil filter and taught me how I could drain the oil out that had gotten in the motor, and POOF! It worked perfectly within a day. This is a very credible business and they actually have ethics. I would buy something from here and bring any equipment for repair, if needed again. read more

When I needed a heavy duty blade and string trimmer, and a chainsaw I decided on Stihl as the manufacturer. The are a Stihl dealer. When I went in to look at the equipment I was helped by the owner himself. With no pressure he guided me to the equipment that was right for me, and was able to fully explain why he thought the equipment would meet my needs. The staff is always available. They answer the phone, return messages and when you arrive at the shop they are behind the counter with the product you need. Friendly staff and parts in stock, seems simple doesn't it? Add to that truthful technicians. All it takes for me to drive past the competition is a promised date for repair broken several times and I drive by the old repair shop thinking I made the right decision. Guy came out to truck and said 1 was a "classic" i.e. way old and likely could not find parts. The other he pulled off truck, jiggered it a bit, put fresh gas in it and started it.
