I've always had good experiences here. I see Dr. Narra but my parents also come here and have had good experiences. Mom had colon cancer so I have to get more frequent colonoscopies than other people. They seem to be using more updated stuff because I didn't have as bad of a time as I've heard other people have with drinking the medicine. Dad's side of the family also had fatty liver which I also have, so we both come here for that as well. I had a fiberscan done here just recently. Thank god they have that so I don't ever have to get biopsied again (fingers crossed) because biopsies huuuuurt and fiberscans just tickle, at the worst. read more

I've just had the worst experience ever from Gastro One . Very frustrating l had a recent appointment for a colonoscopy. I was not informed that the location where they do the procedure had changed. I paid and took the awful medicine and spent money show up for my Saturday appointment no one was there and google the other location maybe I'm at the wrong place. Made some phone calls all their offices say's they are closed on Saturday. This has been one awful situation, l call the office on Monday and ask what happened then they informed me o use suppose to been at another location were it states on the website and phone that it's not open Saturdays , Call customer service l will have my supervisor to call haven't heard back yet!!!!! I have seen Dr Dragutsky for years and he is a kind and brilliant Doctor. I had to go to the ER recently and was told to see Dr Dragutsky the next day. He wasn't available so I of course saw a NP. Everything has been a nightmare since. I have some serious issues. She was very knowledgeable but none of her support staff had a clue I was not even in the computer as having test ordered.. I called twice to see if she would talk to me about results and none of my calls were returned Not even by her nurse.I have lost all trust and confidence in the practice. read more

No preventative help for diverticulitis at all. Told to come in when I had the next attack.

Do not use this clinic. Google reviews are artificially inflated. Just check out Yelp or other sites. I'm at that age now, so I asked for a routine preventative colonoscopy, which is covered at 100% by my plan. I was told I would first need a pre-visit consultation (also covered at 100%). I have normal GI issues for my age. At said visit, the provider prodded me until I mentioned the occasional reflux (maybe once a month), for which he offered to prescribe a PPI. I said "sure," even though OTCs control my occasional reflux. Well, weeks later, I got the bill. This clinic/practitioner seemingly committed insurance fraud by inflating ICD-10 codes to bill my preventive visit as one for an existing issue. I have documentation of the dozen or so calls to the clinic and my insurance to try and get the issue resolved (the office refuses to budge). Vickie Larkin did call me back once and assured me that she would take care of this, but nothing has been done to correct the billing. My insurance plan informs me that they will support me should I choose to report them to the state board of medical examiners (https://www.tn.gov/content/tn/health/health-program-areas/health-professional-boards/report-a-concern.html) or the state insurance commissioner (https://www.tn.gov/commerce/resources-services/file-a-complaint.html). Of course, I've cancelled the actual procedure. This place would likely conjure up more billable codes or do something even worse while I was under anesthesia. I'm told by a former employee that this place went downhill after getting bought out by OneGI, and I believe them. read more

The doctor is great, the billing is not. I overpaid by hundreds with my FSA card for my remaining deductible and my FSA card wants the money back because the receipt I gave them wasn't sufficient. Trying to get an itemized statement and showing I paid has been difficult. My patient portal doesn't even show the full charges. I have been trying to explain that, yes, when I went in for my procedure I did have a balance on my ded but by the time they processed my claim, my ded balance was less than $50. Why won't the practice give the difference to my FSA card? If I can't get my money back I will have to take further action. read more

This may surprise you but if you are a Gastro One patient but want to switch doctors (for us, based on a referral), it is their policy to not let patients switch doctors. So it is clear they care more about themselves than their patients/customers. I have never heard of such a policy in my life. Now we need to find a new GI practice. read more

When I went in for the procedure, they automatically send you to their intake financial department. We were told that our insurance would cover the procedure completely. When the statement arrived, it showed that there was a balance due of $275.00. I called my insurance, and they stated that Gastro One had billed it as diagnostic and not routine! It is hard to understand how the doctor would not know before the surgery if it was routine or diagnostic! Their billing is handled by some foreign entity that knows nothing about the account! Procedure went well but their financial department definitely needs some help. read more

Although Dr Thompson is probably a good Dr, he has no respect for anyone else's time. My appointment was at 7:30 and the procedure was done at 9:16. If you have all day then you might not mind. The McDonalds drive through of colonoscopies! Not my first colonoscopy, but definitely my worst. The prep was better, but the procedure and process at the facility was excruciating. Make no mistake, this is an assembly line. From the time you check in, the whole feel is like MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station). If you know, you know. This is where things go downhill. Despite being early for my appointment, I was left to wait for about four hours. I get unforeseen delays, but the pre-procedure area is freezing, and one has been without food or water for a long time. There was no update provided or any reason given for the delay. What exacerbated this was knowing my wife was waiting and worrying. I was within about 10 minutes of unhooking the monitor and walking out, never to return when I was finally wheeled back to the procedure area. The doctor and CRNA only spoke to me for about 20 seconds, as the assembly line was way behind. This made me feel even more like a number. Once I woke up, the nurse only provided cursory results and out I went. Again, just like a bottle at the Shotz brewery. I'm not due for another scoping for a few years, but I'll certainly go elsewhere. Hell, I'd be better off just doing it myself next time. read more

It is extremely hard to get anyone on the phone to call you back, to make an appointment, or get a prescription refill. To avoid the rude front office staff, I started making telehealth appointments. Even those were fouled up. On the two occasions when I have made telehealth appointments, I had to call and ask when and if the doctor was going to actually dial in for the appointment. Visited the Wolf River Blvd branch of Gastro One today. I asked the first agent I was assigned to if the practice required employees to be vacinated. She "didn't know". Then I asked her if she had been vaccinated, and she had not. This supposed "health care provider" does not care enough about the health of their patients and employees to mandate vaccinations for their employees. You might well have your health destroyed by Covid by these uncaring, anti-community people. They did indulge in the whole range of Covid theater, including the totally useless temperature scan, in which the unvaccinated employee got entirely too close for comfort. Rude employees, long waits, and a huge waste of money because they are beyond unhelpful.

Dr Younes has been treating my very complicated case for nearly 18 months. He always treats me with the utmost respect and provides excellent care . His staff is very familiar with my case and stays updated on my complicated medical history. They communicate well with my surgeon and work well as a team. His whole staff always treats me well. He added me onto his case load for a procedure in 2 days because he didn't want me to have to wait. I've been treated by 4 other GI docs prior to meeting Dr Younes. He's been the most dedicated to my case. He identified my need for iron infusions during our first visit that had been overlooked by multiple physicians. He's done at least 6 procedures on me. I plan to stick with him. read more

Their billing practices are poor, to say the least. Like Chealsy L., I was asked to give a deposit before they would do the procedure. They called me a couple of days before warning me that they wouldn't do the procedure without $600 in advance, so I was prepared for it. A month later, I received a bill from them asking for an additional $650 with NO indication that they had ever credited me for the $600 that I paid them before the procedure! When I called to find out what happened to my $600, I was told that the deposit was applied to ANOTHER account, which resulted in a credit balance on it. So...I've got two different accounts with them, and since one was marked as "paid", I would NEVER receive a statement on it - only on the account that said that I owed more than I actually did. I asked them to send me a bill that showed what I actually owed, and I was told that I would get another statement (with an amount past due) next month - they couldn't get me one any sooner. I worked in hospital finance for many years, and this is a horrible way to do business. At the very least, send all of the information together rather than asking for money twice and hiding the advanced payment. read more

Gastro one as a whole is great, however if you are having a procedure a word to the wise would be to ask that Shelley Hood NOT do your anesthesia. My husbands nurses asked me to accompany him to his procedure room as he has bad anxiety and and I could help answer questions beforehand and it would make him more comfortable. Shelley hood immediately began mocking us and laughing as to why I was even there, and then when I left the procedure room she thought it would be funny to ask my husband if he brought his mommy today. This was overall disgusting bedside manner and she should have just been quiet. You shouldn't judge a situation you don't know, and upset your patient on top of that. Our experience other than her was fine, but please take this woman away from dealing with the public, she has no filter which clearly isn't appropriate in a medical setting. SHELLY HOOD CRNA is a 0/10. Do not have her at your procedure!!!!! Request someone else. read more

Had the dreaded lower end checked out and scoped. It sure has changed over the years. The prep drink (two 6oz bottles chased with 40 oz of water) was a breeze compared to the old chalky gallon of nastiness. Communication between staff and patient needs some fine tuning because the patient portal is fickle. The check in receptionist very polite, efficient, clear and took less than 5 minutes. Another 10 minutes wait and off to the procedure. The nursing care was fantastic. All of the nurses were very experienced, knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Drugutsky was top notch, explained the procedure, was prepared, new my history, and after a few laughs with the nurse anesthetist, off to la la land. Procedure over faster than the Dueling Banjo's song, in recovery met by another great experienced nurse, 15 minutes later, out the door. Great experience, Ned Beatty never had it so good. read more

Next time I'll wait a little longer for an appointment in order to see a real doctor. Your nurse practitioners aren't all that knowledgeable in different illnesses. I shouldn't have to educate a healthcare professional on my illness. And maybe not be so condescending. I didn't come to this office to feel bad about myself. I will NEVER go to Gastro One ever again. I arrived for my endoscopy today and was turned away. Why? Because my driver dropped me off and then left to drop my kids off at daycare before coming back. They refuse to do the procedure unless the driver sits in the waiting room for the entire 2 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. I just moved here, I don't have anyone here who can take a day off work to sit in a waiting room while I have a procedure done. Yet this "clinic" is willing to deny me medical care until I can, and they wasted my day that I took off to have the procedure done. It's a ridiculous nonsensical policy and they should be ashamed that they turned me away on the day of my procedure over something so stupid. Thanks for nothing Dr. Scott Duncan. I brought my Mother to be seen today by one of the Doctors at the Gastro One in Germantown Tn. My mother was nervous to the point she had my anxiety up. The lady at window five was absolutely phenomenal! She eased my mother's nerve as well as mines. She was courteous, friendly, professional, fast and very understanding! I have never been in a doctors office where we were treated basically like family and that we belonged. I believe her name was Kimberly ! What a jewel you all have! She should be praised!! read more

The wait time is ridiculous. Even if your appt is first thing in the morning, be ready to wait AT LEAST 50 min before being seen. AND there's no WiFi, so you can't even scroll while waiting. Also, what's with all the paperwork they insist you complete each time you come in? Do what Massage Envy does and get iPads to review your info and update AS NEEDED vs. filling out multiple sheets of paper -- including the "check in sheet." Can't they see their schedule, that you're on it, and what time your appt is vs. completing a sheet of paper for them to look? It's a complete waste of resources. We need our trees. What's more is the DOCTOR doesn't want to wear a mask! He puts one on under his nose if he sees you wearing one, then asks if "we could remove our masks." What doctors have a problem with wearing a mask? Gastro-1 doctors. The best people at Gastro1 are the LabCorp techs, Patience Whitten, and Kara Mielke. They're awesome. But the office in general needs improvement. read more

The Worst Customer Service I have ever experienced. I had an appointment scheduled a month in advance. I called the day before to verify my time and all the information I gave, making the appointment was NO WHERE in the system. My appointment was early in the morning it was 2 mins before the doors open I asked could I use the restroom I was told I had to wait. I was the only one outside waiting in the dark to come in. I had been taking "that stuff" you know, I had to go to the restroom really bad they wouldn't open the door. The three of them set there looking at me standing at the door on a walker and wouldn't open the door. About 3 mins later she get up off her fat butt open the door add laughed at me because I had to really use the restroom. I didn't know if it was the fact I needed a walker to walk or I almost fell so I told her It wasn't funny. They are rude at that 8000 wolf River location I will never go back there. read more

Dr. Miller is a wonderful doctor. He really seems to care about his patients. Had me in for a colonoscopy two days after my initial appointment. Nice set up for the office where they perform the procedure. Separate waiting room for drivers so they don't have to sit in the small one forever. Gastro Ones office staff are rude and unprofessional. I waited over 1.5 hours to just get put into a room and finally saw a nurse and she asked the details of why I was there without even having the referral from my other doctor. They did not have my allergies yet they were all listed in the computer with the reactions but since it didn't print out I had to give them to them again. I am waiting now to see the doctor and it's over 4:30 PM sand my appointment was scheduled for 2:45 PM. Told the nurse I was going to l ave and she advised me if I did I still would be charged the appointment as though it occurred...WTH is wrong with doctors and their practices anymore.
