There is a restaurant, closed Monday and Tuesday, and a bistro that will be open Those days. A wonderful room with a juice and water minibar. The nicest bathroom I have ever seen and a view to put you back in time. There is a museum below in the Castle that is included in your stay along With a private garden and your own key access to the garden. Only one luggage rack in the room but we improvise. Fresh fruit and a crystal decanter of sherry waiting on the table in the sitting room. 2 glasses and chocolates. For a little while, this is our Castle and our Maserati is parked below in a safe spot. Dinner reservation in a few hours.

Our room would normally have a million dollar view of the Kurfürstliches Schloss, which is currently under renovations, but the Ehrenbreitstein is visible in the distance. Not only is the room is air-conditioned and comes with a refrigerator and hot pot, but we are provided with a hand-held fan to keep cool when we are outdoors! The lobby has a water-refilling station of both still and sparkling mineral water, which is fitting as Koblenz exports its water! At breakfast, a robot brings trays of used dishes for washer, which probably results in fewer breakages and workplace incidents. At the egg station, omelette ingredients are kept in a closed, refrigerated drawer, which is more hygienic. Jams were dispensed in dispensers, reducing use of single serving plastics. Our favorite is the drinks dispenser which keeps glass bottles of juices and water filled while still letting us pour our glass into our own glasses.

Lucky for us our room was already available so we brought our stuff up, changed, and hit our bikes for the ride to Bacharach. Room 2 has a large terrace with wonderful views over the Rhein, Sankt Goarhausen and Burg Katz. We enjoyed the one night. As always, breakfast was great and Gill was his usual: the best host! He gave us some hiking suggestions (we always hike in/above St Goar) for a future trip. Without a doubt this is the place to stay in St Goar.

You are right in front of where the boats go up and down the river to sightsee - get on- get off and explore! I highly recommend the hotel. The room is very clean, the breakfast is incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed the view from the balcony each night! Breakfast is fresh coffee, cheeses, meats, a hot dish like scrambled eggs, sweet breads, jams, fresh fruits! I can't wait to return to visit- and I would book early- this a small boutique experience! The situation of the hotel is of course very good - in the centre of Boppard and on the Rhine Promenade but I don't think we would stay at this hotel again.

She accommodated our need to store luggage while touring the local Marksburg castle and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. She also called ahead and had staff ready for us at a local restaurant the Goldenen Shlüss (The Golden Key) which was actually a good recommendation. My only issue was that it was so hot in Germany at the time and our room had no air conditioning. This is true in many places throughout Europe though as it was unseasonably warm and it's just hard to come by accommodations with air conditioning. By the way, Castle Marksburg was a spirited 20 minute hike up the hill from this hotel. Great location! Tchüss! P.S. Our double room was about 75€. I think the pricing here on Yelp is for the restaurant so I did not include that in my review.
