I was surprised to see them working on half the pumps yesterday~ this gas station seems to new to need that much work, but they are up to something! Because of the pumps being out- it makes it a little more interesting to get gas here- for the time being. I was able to pull right into a pump, but others were waiting for spots to free up to pull in. Prices here are a little higher than other stations around Jax- but I swear where, if it's near the interstate- it's hiked a few pennies! And this location is off 295. As far as grabbing gas- pumps are fast, it's painless to pump here! When they wrap up the construction it will be back to 4 star gas!!!

Very cool! It's also open 24/7! There's everything you'd expect from a convenience store and more. Of course there's more... much more... otherwise it certainly wouldn't be getting five whole Yelpie stars! There hot food such as different kinds of hot dogs/sausages to choose from, tamales (beef and chicken - highly recommend both), and what they call "Tornados" which are basically like taquitos (they even have breakfast types in the morning). They have many types of cold sandwiches to choose from and fruit selections. Different types of slushies, and they even have a milkshake machine. The milkshake machine is really cool and they are actually really good. Here's a tip, if you get a milkshake, choose "thick thick." I got one for my husband and chose "thick think" to mess with him, but it was actually the perfect consistency. If I would have chosen either of the two "lower" selections, the milkshake would have been way too runny. Also, they have a Yobe Yogurt inside here. There's 8 different flavour machine and they have a toppings bar. Having a froyo craving at 3am? Well, now you have a place to get it! Amazaballs!! And before I forget, the various types of coffees they have here are just mind-boggling. You're certain to be able to find your perfect flavour. There's also the frap machine! Yay frap! This is definitely the future of the convenience store!

Plus, the staff is always super friendly and understanding. We like to come here for grocery type items in addition to getting gas. But what we really like is the car wash. However, the dang thing likes to act up a lot and/or not give you what you paid for. That is not a reason to mark down any stars...why? Well, if you just let the staff know they'll give you your money back or another car wash. I love it when you find a place with no hassles and has everything you need. Woot! On an ending note, the location is awesome on US 1 and near the Nocatee turn off.

I guess it might just be the area in St Johns County. The parking lot is always clean and definitely not a lock of pumps. The inside of the store is well maintained with lottery. They do have a air pump station for those unfortunate flats and cold weather days when your TPM is reading low. There is a cost though to operate the machine, .50 cents I believe. They offer a very good selection of drinks, snacks, quick to go meals and bathrooms for the public. Anytime I have had interaction with employees, it has been a positive experience.

Even though I have a high number of check-ins here, it still doesn't even begin to reflect how much I actually stop at this store because half the time I forget to check-in because the stop is so quick. Gas is as cheap as it's going to get in this area of town. There are plenty of pumps and enough space between the pumps that you're night right on top of another car. I've never had a problem with any of the pumps working properly. The store is always clean, as are the restrooms. Tons of snacks can be found here in this large store and everything is always well-stocked. The cashiers are nice and friendly. Buy one of their 64oz plastic "jugs" (it's either 5 or 6 bucks and comes with a fountain drink) and then you can come in whenever you like and fill it up for a buck. You don't even have to have one of the Gate "jugs" ... you can have one for Hess, 7-11, etc... they'll still let you fill it up for a buck. They have an air pump and it's free. Very convenient when hopping off and on I-295.

Also all the other conveniences you seek when stopping at a gas station. The only thing missing from this Gate location is the Gate Express Car Wash which hopefully they build soon. First off, there were several employees at the pay kiosk, which always makes me feel like I'm about to get an uncomfortable sales pitch, but these folks were nice, helpful, and didn't try to pressure me into anything. The car wash itself seemed to work well -- the wash was smooth and didn't leave any suds behind. The self-service area was in good shape. There are two vacuums for each car with no sharing between spots, which is nice. Both vacuums had strong suction, which I feel like is frustratingly rare at car washes these days. They also had detailing air pens and plenty of towels, although no chemical cleaners. I have rubber mats, and the sink had a strong sprayer and a clean basin. The wash cost felt a little pricey with the cheapest one being $16, but that seems to be a trend everywhere. All in all, this will be my go-to spot for now, I think.

I knew after the first visit that I'd be getting a membership here. The staff is friendly & I like that they put out towels for us to wipe our cars down with. I love that the spaces you pull into have separate vacuum hoses on each side to make things easier.
