Just moved in recently and the experience has been great so far. LeeAnn helped us throughout the entire move-in process, and everything went smoothly. If you're considering moving here, definitely ask for her--she's wonderful to work with. For repairs, we submitted an online work order and it was handled by the next business day. Since we placed it on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, we had to wait until Tuesday, but Michael took care of everything quickly and efficiently. DO NOT CONSIDER MOVING HERE - SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND PEACE OF MIND This is a detailed review, but I urge you to read it all to understand why you should avoid this place. I've been renting for over a decade and have never experienced such poor treatment in any apartment. Even The Drake, with its own issues, treated me far better. If you're considering renting here because it might seem cheaper, trust me, it's not worth it. When we first toured a unit exactly like ours, everything appeared great--it was clean and spacious, and the appliances seemed to be in good condition. We checked in multiple times before moving in, and Marilyn, the leasing manager we dealt with, assured us everything would be ready. However, when we moved in a month later, the reality was far different. Upon receiving the keys, we asked Marilyn if the unit was clean and ready. She said it was, but mentioned we might need to do some "touch-ups." I understood that, but I've never done the "touch-ups" I did here anywhere else. What we encountered was far beyond minor touch-ups: Upon entering the apartment, a maintenance worker was still in the unit. The doors hadn't been painted, the AC units were dusty, and there was mold in the master bedroom AC. When we reported the mold, the property manager laughed at us. The refrigerator was damaged and taped up, causing items to fall out whenever we opened it. It took over a month and multiple complaints to get it replaced. The oven/range was old, scratched, and full of grease; the gasket was torn and needed replacing. The carpets had been replaced, but pieces were left all over the apartment; it took 2 full shark vacuum tanks to get it out. We asked for the windows to be cleaned due to dust allergies, but they were left with years worth of dirt and some grease. Some bathroom tiles were cracked, and many electrical outlets were improperly wired, requiring rewiring. We filled out a walk-in sheet and documented everything with photos. Chris, the maintenance director, visited and apologized, promising repairs would be done within the following week, but were eventually done weeks later. On June 26, we requested a discount, for the inconveniences. Marilyn suggested contacting their corporate office, but after weeks of trying, we received no response. We called numerous times but were unable to reach them, we emailed and got no response. When we finally spoke with Marilyn again, she said they wouldn't be able to offer a discount because we'd signed the walk-in sheet--contrary to her earlier advice. Some leasing associates have been rude and unhelpful. One acts unbothered, annoyed, and on the verge of rolling her eyes. If you don't like dealing with tenants I suggest you find another job. If everything had been done before we moved in, these things wouldn't have happened. None of you do anything unless we repeatedly go down and talk to one of you guys, and state what needs to be done. We are even more annoyed and angered than you guys. When we tried to speak with the property manager about our bill, she avoided us. We went down in the morning, she told us she was training someone and that she was busy all day, and that she'd call us when she was free. However, we did not believe she'd call us since that's never happened. Later we went down again, and she was helping another resident. After that resident was done, we tried to go inside to talk to her, but they locked the door and wouldn't let us talk. The property manager was doing something on her computer, I pleaded my question would take 5 minutes, but she just ignored us. Why was she able to help another resident, but when it came to us she didn't want to? This felt like discrimination, especially as I am a hijabi Muslim and my father does not speak English well. These issues aren't the only things that have been happening, numerous tenants are not pleased with how K&D and the leasing office operate. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, don't come here. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. read more

These apartments used to be very nice and more upscale. They have since become trash. I lived there in 1987. Now I have a family member living in South Tower. It is filthy, run down, and smells horrible. For all the money K & D management rakes in on rent payments, they can at least keep the common areas looking fresh and clean. Now they have shootings happening in one of the buildings! Avoid this place at all costs! read more

She greets you with a smile and ask, "How can I help you today?" then she provides answers for your pending problem. She is always professional to residents and staff. Its okay if you just want a place to stay, but its kind of lonely and depressing with a lot of Russians who keep to themselves. A lot of my family lived there and they all came out in boxes. Will I be next? Depressing. One of two elevators is often out. Management seemed like they were drooling to get ahold of my Mom's unit when she was sick I sensed more to the story. Like the manager got a kickback or something. Our unit was good but reading here posts about leaks and roaches?? And they paid for that? Horrible. My mail key hasn't worked since moving in. I asked the front desk about it and they put in a work order. The next day I was woken up by knocking on the door. I told them to please wait I'm naked. A man then UNLOCKED my door as Im screaming I'm naked and starts trying a conversation with me. Apparently he wanted to make sure the key worked before copying it but I needed a mailbox key. I still see this man once a week and can't get to my mail. Today I was again spotted naked because I was unaware that men would be on my 7th floor balcony working on it. Don't move here. Don't live here. It's as simple as that. I genuinely feel bad when I see people moving in. I've only been here for 5 months and I couldn't recommend it to anyone. At least five other tenants in the same floor as me didn't have working heat at the beginning of the winter. It's very clear that the management company that owns this properly does not care. Based off of rent and the amount of apartments per floor this place should easily be bringing in over a million dollars a month and it's very clear that none of that money is spent on staff or upgrades for the facilities. In my apartment not a single one of my windows close they all rattle throughout the night and most of the time the windows are open by morning. Even if the heat did work in my apartment it would immediately be sucked out by all of the windows that were most likely put in sometime during the. 80s. They fixed this by applying putty to the windows to stop them from rattling. Almost every single one of my emails to staff has gone ignored. On more than one occasion I've had to fix things within my own apartment. Instead of relying on maintenance. The fresh coat of latex paint they did before we moved in is slowly peeling off the walls. It took 5 months to get the correct keys for my mailbox. The only positive thing about Gates Mills is that there's a roof over your head, but if it ever starts leaking just invest in a bucket. read more

My last 3-4 work orders were completed the same day I put in my request.....now that is awesome......my last place I waited 3-4 months some times.....and the space you have is really really amazing for the price; I have a ton of storage space that my apartment looks extremely clean 24/7 ......you won't regret moving to Gates Mills Place; really....it will be your very last apartment...... good luck.. DON'T move here my window got broken somehow, I wasn't home I told them about it on Monday apr 18th it's now the 21st and the window hasn't been addressed with the strong winds it's made the glass blow right into my bed and I was cut on my finger and required stitches I put a separate work order in today apr 21st and that's on top of the work order I put in for the shower where they came in and busted up the tile and just left it like that and that was a week ago so im paying for these amenities here but I can't use them because of lazy staff not enough staff or just incompetence in management I reached out to the property manager by email 4 months ago and he still hasn't responded I call all the time he's never there most of the units has water damage and they don't check them often but they raise your rent due to heavy use of water as they would put it this place is a dump and they will just take your money and just ignore you do not move here save you money and go somewhere else anywhere else but here they let anyone move here so now it's really a dump most of their appliances don't work or have to be replaced after you move in because they don't take the time to inspect the unit before you move in they just promise to fix things but never do my shower has been leaking since April of 2021 and they are just now trying to fix it but still haven't did that they left the parts on my bathroom floor never to return .....run from this place don't even come to tour it it's not worth it they are going to lie to you during the whole tour the workout equipment is outdated and doesn't work or is rusted out read more

Now that I've been at Gates Mills Place a little longer; I know I made the right decision... I can tell you this , I won't be moving again as long as I'm alive .... the employees have really good bed side manners; Maintenance team is really awesome, I put in my request & turn my head around & they completed my job I wanted done..that's fast !!!! The place is always really really clean..... I love that ...... the apartments are really awesome, I have a dishwasher & an overhead fan which I never expected to have .. I have lived here going on 2 years now. The best I can say is it is fine there are some complaints that you will get anywhere. Some a little worse than other places but over all its fine. I haven't had to many problems and rent is reasonable. Although I would caution potential tenants there is a auto resign program you have to opt out of that I was not made aware of. All of that being said I will say my review would be much lower without Damoru DeFreeze. He is the lobby associate in my building and is by far better than any of the people who previously held his position. I used to have tons of trouble getting my mail on time and frankly the other people were either very rude or just couldn't be found. I have never had that issue with Mr. DeFreeze. He is always available and if he does have to handle something somewhere he leaves his sign out and I can come back it 10 minutes and he will be there with the same personable smile that he always has. If I was rating only him I would give 5 stars. Mr. DeFreeze told me that I could leave a review here about him and even gave me his name on it I believe I spelled it correctly however just ot make sure my man gets the credit he deserves I attached a picture of the card with his name on it. read more

The building management is trash, they have a new person there every 3 to 6 month (McDonald's has better employee retention). K&D sucks all the money out and spends only on outside building upkeep so they can continue to rent. Windows are still aluminum, so they are cold as ice and have actual ice on them inside of the apartment every winter. Stay away from this complex, and don't give security deposit to secure apartment as you will not get it back if you change your mind about renting/signing the lease. Trash is left for days in garbage room on each floor, parking lot and around the building. A lot of residents don't care about cleanliness and the building is kept cleans once a week. Theft is an issue, especially on amazon/ups packages. After two of my orders got stolen started to send my purchases to my work. Dog urine and poo are common in hallways and corridors, so watch where you step. Building has a policy of no dogs, yet it is not enforced, so people take their Pitbulls, huskies, German Shepards for a walk every evening. I had a large Pitbull lounged at me as I was entering elevator. My upstairs neighbor asked maintenance to fix pipe in the kitchen they did a poor job a water started coming into my kitchen on Friday. I reported it right away on Friday, then Saturday and Sunday. On Monday I went to the office to ask for a solution, they looked at me like I am an idiot and told me they know about the problem and working to fix it. They stopped the water on Wednesday, so every 30 min to two hours I had to mop the floors and kitchen sink from water. I called the city inspector to complain about mold in my unit after flood as maintains told me to keep windows open to let the drywall dry. It was the end of Feb 2023 in Cleveland with 40 degrees outside. I asked the building manager to give me another apartment so I can live there while they do the repairs and they refused. so, I put my 2 month notice of moving out. read more

What glitters isn't always gold . When I moved into this apartment complex I thought I had finally found a sanctuary, but that was untrue . My apartment constantly has leaks and when I submit a maintenance request they come and do the bare minimum then leave .nothing is ever truly fixed they just place a bandaid over the problem ,but still have the nerve to raise your rent annually. My rent is increasing yet my apartment is falling apart . Also they will not give you notice to when a maintenance man will appear at your home or outside contractor, I feel this is incredibly unsafe and unfair . I have mold in my apartment, and mildew. Some people move into these apartments and don't plan on staying long so they never report if they are experiencing leaks/roaches in their apartment and that trickles down to my apartment . My apartment also has roaches still and they have been spraying my apartment for a year now, I am a clean freak so I know this problem is coming from another unit. My beautiful new start is just depressing bill now . Hopefully the mold doesn't effect my health. Not to mention all the money I spent on paper towels for leaks.. lastly my birthday package was stolen out of the mailroom that's locked I might add (only people with access to this room work for the company. My car has been destroyed with dents and scratches. Management here at this apartment complex are incredibly unprofessional. read more

I have the unique ability to have seen this apartment complex in two stages: Before K&D bought it and after. About 10 years ago I lived there with my father. It was very pleasant on the 15th floor and I don't remember any problems. The apartment was warm, in good repair (as were the facilities) and there were even small businesses set up in the walkways underground, including a library and several upkept gyms. With this in mind we fast forward to 2022 when I move back with these memories. I've lived there for about 6 months and the number of problems outweighs the number of problems I had in 4 years in a Parma apartment 3:1. And I paid about $250 less per month in Parma and had a 2 bedroom. I guess the main points are as follows: 1) I've been trying for about a month, in winter, to get them to realize that the insulation in my apartment is causing it to be unlivable in the cold. I mean that literally, I'm writing this from a friend's house because I either had to flee or succumb to exposure in my room. There is daylight visible around my AC unit and my windows dont close all the way. There have been days I find snow on my carpet. 2) There is nothing remaining of the "Niceness" I remember. There are no businesses downstairs anymore, the libraries are gone, the bar is gone, and the facilities are all in need of significant maintenance (The elevators, the laundry room, everything) 3) The rent is still at the levels of a significantly nicer apartment. I can accept certain things in a $500/month 1 bedroom. I'm paying around $700/month for a studio and wondering why. 4) The fire alarm. The entire building is wired with a high pitched fire alarm that blasts high frequency sounds inside the apartment when a fire alarm is triggered. Wouldn't be too bad if there was actually a fire at any time when they went off. It's at about 2/month at this point and still no fire. It has given me the opportunity to get to know some of the other people on my floor though as we watch for the fire truck to come from the hallway window rushing to put out the fire that isn't ever there. TL:DR Don't move here for a good long while. And if you're tempted to, ask the neighbors after your tour. It's not a good place to be. read more

I would give this place zero star if i could!! This apartment over all sucks do not move here!!!! They will give you the run around in place of not getting anything you need done!!! The office staff has smart mouths, they don't answer the phone and when they do they're rude, they must hate their jobs. We've been waiting a year to get things around our place fixed and yet nothing has been done. 1. our tub, we were mysteriously taken off the list then put back on then gave us a date that was nonexistent. they're horrible, do not bring your family, kids or anything to this horrible place. Conveniently located. Elevators constantly breaking down and even trapping people--sometimes all three elevators out of order at the same time. Constant water outages and broken pipe floods. Frequent fire evacuations with in-apartment sirens that are damagingly loud and surely unsafe for children. Bedbugs spreading between apartments (according to staff themselves). Roaches the size of toy poodles roaming the halls. Motor fumes all summer even on the higher floors. Entry doors and remote buzzer constantly broken. Punitive lease terms, which they change at will. One year they added a heat charge in SUMMER because they wanted more income--so your rent can essentially go up as often as they wish. Bonus: my car has been vandalized in the parking lot multiple times. Terrible maintenance--I went without working heat in winter for 2 months while they pretended to fix it, before one staff member told me in confidence that management refused to pay for the parts, so all they could do was pretend a fix. Had a flood from bad pipes, waited an hour as the water rose, and was told it would happen again because they wouldn't fix it permanently. This was true--property damage resulted. Want to politely contact customer service with a question or concern? Whether email or phone, your message will never be returned. Show up in person as a last resort? I was actually laughed at for saying I had concerns... before even hearing my concerns (they never did). They enter your apartment to look around--both with and without the legally required 24 hours warning--multiple times a year. And my security camera caught staff looking through my cupboards when I was away--possibly seeking prescriptions or valuables to sell? When I reported the incident, management treated me like the problem and told me that what the video shows never happened... yet refused to look at the video. This is the behavior of management who thinks something wrong may be going on, and would rather condone it silently than have to bother addressing it. What they WILL spend money on: landscaping, touch-up painting, and parking lot re-striping--cosmetic things to help their sales pitch. Believe nothing their salespeople tell you: baldfaced lies are the norm before AND after you move in. I was told all kinds of things (like new carpeting) would be done before I moved in, but once they had my deposit, those promises never happened. I don't entirely blame local staff, many of whom are nice and reasonable: I've lived here long enough to see staff come and go, and the practices here are clearly dictated from above. Under no circumstances rent from K&D Management. Tip: if K&D is your only option, buy a low-end refrigerator instead. Sell the refrigerator, and live in the box. read more

Heat went out in the coldest of winter. The staff said I don't have heat either so live with it. No hot water which remained unaddressed for days until I called the city to complain. They told me I would have a city view but my view was of the other apartment. They will lie to you about everything. These apartments are advertised as luxury apartments and they are far from luxury! I live in the north building which is what everyone says is the best building and in my opinion it's probably the same as the others but it's appearance may be a little better. This building still has outdated appliances and roaches so don't get caught up in the hype! I saw 3 roaches and I've been living here for 6 months. I called customer service to get an exterminator and she replied "(laughing) if you saw 3 roaches in 6 months I don't think that's anything to panic about." So I had to let her know that if you're a person who's never lived with these disgusting things than yes it is something to worry about! She should be ashamed of herself! I'm sorry I'm not dirty enough to let the situation get out of hand before I address it! This place is a joke! They also lost my rent check and 5 days later put an eviction notice on my door!!!! I called and they just said ok we got it...no apology at all! I can't wait to move! The only reason for the 2 stars is that I don't hear a sound when I'm in my apartment (which is a big thing for me). I hate thin walls so they can get 2 stars for that in my book. read more

review now that i've finally moved out of this place, i feel comfortable leaving an honest review.i started out at willoughby hills towers (owned by k&d as well) with a roommate in summer of 2019. that place i could spend hours reviewing on its own (filthy, loud, VERY creepy tenants, disrespectful staff, criminal activity so bad that the city put a substation right across the street, i could go on) BUT despite all the horrible things we were already experiencing, we were like "well it's good enough". until two women in our building were stabbed and burned alive in broad daylight. yes, this happened. look it up. those women were brutally left for dead by an ex boyfriend (who was NOT a guest of these women at this time, he just walked himself inside). horrific, my heart aches for them every day. after this happened, i was a wreck. i was sleeping anywhere but my apartment, i had to go to counseling, i missed time at work. after speaking with a lawyer, i was advised to go to the office and have my lease ended. seeing as i had documented medical reasons to do so. well, to no ones surprise they would not allow it. we spoke with multiple people whose titles i can no longer recall and they actually had the audacity to say "well everyone's safety is important, not just yours" (tell that to those two poor women!) in the end, of course all they wanted was money and they allowed me to transfer to gates mills. of course they advertised it as "luxury" and had a place for me immediately and initially i was just happy to be somewhere where i felt i could sleep at night. and i guess if that's all you care about, this place is good enough for that. mayfield heights is relatively safe although this summer i started to notice more and more police cars showing up and security officers walking about. there were bugs, my bathtub backed up a few times, my bathroom ceiling leaked (they never fixed it), my heat didn't work for about a month in the winter, and then again my AC didn't work when it got hot again this summer. they fixed things quick enough so i guess i can live with that (except the bathroom ceiling) but the whole building is just decrepit and falling apart. i'm sure back in it's day it was nice but it is beyond outdated. parking after 10pm is a nightmare and if you're a woman like me, you'll be running to the door with your pepper spray because it is DARK in the parking structure. can't see anything. the pool is randomly closed every wednesday. i never used the fitness center as i go to a different gym but my roommate said it gave her the creeps. i also never used the laundry services (i took it to my parents house) but again she said it was gross and creepy. they lost a couple packages of mine. it's very close to hillcrest hospital so you'll hear sirens and the life flight quite literally every day but it's not deafening. it's close to 271 which is nice but the traffic on mayfield rd is always bad. the staff was better than willoughby hills but competition wasn't exactly fierce. i had to buy my own microwave which i don't mind much, but seeing as most other places provide one, it's a little annoying because now i have a microwave sitting around that i am not using. i am typing this on my first night away from that place but i am going to actually post it when/if i get my security deposit back because i absolutely do not trust this company. all they cared about was getting their money even though i was quite literally traumatized by what happened at their other property. if i have any advice to you, it's to spend a little extra and go somewhere nicer, you will be thankful. i recommend huntington green in south euclid, very comparable in price, size, location and 1000x better! I live in the Gatesmills Apartment Complex and park in the secure garage underneath, after filling a complaint with the building about the garage leaking and leaving large rust spots on my car they told me SOL, they are not responsible. I purchased a car cover to prevent this from happing and my car cover was stolen off of my car and the property manager told me its not our problem and we cant give anyone a safe environment. read more

I was a resident of the West Tower 2018-2020. Enjoyed the overall stay in the bldg. Staff were pleasant and responsive to any calls that I submitted. The apt itself was in good condition; albeit older but maintained. Garage needs updating. Elevators need updating, both regular and freight. Bldg interior maintenance was noticeably gradual based on type required and size of the bldg. Exterior issue was the huge amounts of dog waste in grass along the street where tenants would have these large animals; presumed comfort animals leave their waste and wouldn't pick it up. It obviously wasn't a one time thing as there were mounds spread throughout the grass. Easily noticed by smell as well as visual when walking and avoiding traffic during rain and snowfall. Biggest downfall was the rental dispute for the month of June that I had officially prepared and checked out. I contacted Gates Mills in April roughly a month after the Covid 19 virus was world news everyday and everyone had the stay at home notice. Ohio is not my state of residence, so I returned to my state of residence in March when the virus was first released as highly contagious due to my underlying health conditions. Carol stated that she would look into it, but I didn't get a response. After several weeks, I decided to move out altogether. I contacted Gates Mills again in April and Carol stated that I contacted her just in time and could move out within 30 days as long as I came in to sign the agreement for termination. I drove back to Ohio specifically for that purpose and signed the paperwork as well as reserved the freight elevator for the end of May. On May 29 I drove to Ohio, packed the apartment and the morning of May 30 turned the keys in to the leasing office, contacted the electricity folks and turned that off. Everyone smiled and thanked me for being a great tenant. No mention of any monies owed, with the discussion of my deposit being returned 2 weeks from apt inspection. In July I received an invoice for the month of June. Mind you the apartment sat empty for roughly 3 weeks in March, all of April and all but 1 night in May which I paid as that was the understanding of moving out before June 1. I called them immediately and asked what it was about. They stated that I did not comply with the move out agreement, which they had formally spoke with me about on the phone. I escalated this to Gates Mills Property Manager, which he did not address and he stated that I need to speak with the local property, which I had previously spoken. They have now turned this over for collections for not paying June's rent although I've contacted them as they asked in April and signed notice of that. read more

I have lived here for 3 years. Whenever I request service, they respond quickly. I don't have any concerns or issues. It is an excellent location, has indoor and coveted parking. Any place will most likely have an issue from time to time, but I definitely recommend this complex. The access to 271 is also a plus. Carol, the property manager is a welcome addition, she always has a smile and has a very customer service persona. Lastly, the exercise rooms and convenience store is a plus as well. read more

Those janky things are constantly broken down. Or you get stuck in them. Everything my leasing guy told me was basically a lie. When it comes to maintenance he advised me unless the apartment was on fire or the the toilet was overflowing to NOT call the emergency maintenance line. I had an issue with my my freezer not working on a Friday. So I put in a maintenance request for it early in the day. NO ONE showed up. The next day my entire refrigerator quit working. So I put in another maintenance request. The maintenance guy shows up a few hours later. By this point as you can image ALL the food in my refrigerator and freezer I had to throw away. I lost about $200 worth of food. The maintenance guy advised me to email his boss Carol (Property Manager) to see what she could for me. So I emailed her. The outcome of that situation was she advised me to either file a Renter's Insurance claim. She also advised no credits or compensation would be given and next time call the emergency maintenance line. During the summer time the A/C is a joke. The A/C is old and unless you're sitting right next to it you won't feel it. MORAL OF EVERYTHING DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! read more

The worst management company ever. I will never rent from K&D again. I would rather be homeless. They don't take care of their properties at all. The hallways are dirty, the elevators are dirty and the stairwells are filthy. The parking is terrible. They offered at Gates Mills Place for you to pay an extra $20 for a garage spot which we did, and you have to leave it on for the remainder of the lease. We got one and when it rains the garage leaves rust stains on your car which they of course don't take responsibility for. The pools are rarely open and the outdoor pool costs extra money which is ironic because when they advertise it as an amenity they don't mention that part at all. The weight room is a joke and there's never even a pin In there to adjust the weights. They are so unorganized and unprofessional. We asked them before to come and fix something but to wait until we were home but of course they entered anyway. The list goes on. And you will never EVER get your security deposit Back even if you leave the place cleaner than when you got it like we did. We regretted it instantly. Not to mention the weed smells in all the hallways that travels through the vents as well. Please I beg you, if you respect your property and don't want to be miserable, pay a little more money for a management company that respects their property and their tenants. I was recently looking at apts, on the east & westside of Cleveland, I thought I found one that I liked.... I really need closet space. There were a couple that I needed to see on the east side, so I took a chance without an appointment, because I love Mayfield hts, it's near everything. I talked to Barbie, she was booked for the day (Saturday), but said she would show me as her next appt was late. I'm glad that she did, I loved the apartment, it's spacious with lots of closet space, a couple of walk ins (yes) there's an eat in kitchen. The view from the balcony is beautiful. I would definitely give it an 8. Barbie, was super professional, she explained things to us. The inside pool is awesome & heated, there's also an outside pool & gym. I filled out an application the same day, I didn't need to look any further, I think I'll be happy here. I'm near every convenience, hospitals, shopping, theatre. Thanks Barbie for taking the time to show the apt without an appointment, it made all the difference!! read more

I have been living in the west building since Dec 2014 and the experience has a lot to be desired. The apartments are very old and new rentees will have some very minor cosmetic updated apartments. But overall it old and outdated with the look and the function. The actual building is shifting so there is a crack throughtout the parkint lot that can be seen in the ceiling and floors of the apartments on my side of the building. Therefore it leaks if someone above spills too much water in their apt. The leasing offfice customer service is subpar. The leasing agent Linda is so busy she has let her professionalism and customer service plummet. She can't keep organized at all, if you come into the leasing office, you'll see her desk and that will tell you everything about the 3 buildings and how poorly they're operated. They have a few online functions, that there's a delay in responding to like service request. I have put on my service request, that maintenance does not have permission to enter and I make an appt. So what they do is missed the appt and enter the next day or so, while I'm not there. It's like the maintenance people don't want to be bothered with the tenents so they enter when they want. The elevators constantly don't work and take forever to come up or down. The doors are breaking off their frames, so the place isn't safe overall. Also there is no outdoor playground area for children, so they often play in the parking lot or in the one and only courtyard by the leasing office. Horrible place. Lastly if you move here it's expensive and there's a guranteed 2 % increase on your rent everytime you renew. That's ridiculous for crappy apartments. My year is not even up yet and I'm moving. I will NEVER rent from K&D again. The guest service staff are HORRIBLE. They don't do much and they look for ways to do less. The rental office staff make derogatory statements about residents. The elevators stay down. Storage is listed as an amenity, but they closed all the storage. The fire alarms go off all times of night. In the winter, they do not salt the drive. The plows ride through the lot over and over plowing until they scrape the ground. If you have a first shift job, and it snows at night, don't plan on sleeping past 3 or 4 am. Due to ice, you can barely stop at the stops signs or the light at the end of the drive. The guest service staff do not like accepting packages, which means the carriers leave the packages at the residents doors. Packages are stolen. The elevators and stairwells are dirty. They only clean the lobby, laundry room, and basement. We pay for covered parking but the roof leaks rusty water that damages our cars. Parts have been stolen off cars that park in the outdoor parking area. read more
