DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! MANAGEMENT IS STEALING MONEY!! I'm a current resident at The Vantage Apartments and want to share my experience so others are aware. Recently, my gas bill increased from around $15 to $300 with no prior notice or clear explanation. When I reached out to management, I was initially told it WAS an error. However, no documentation, itemized bill, or follow-up has been provided, and residents are still being asked to pay these charges. When speaking with management again, we were told the increase may be due to the "company" not reading the meters, which has only added more confusion. Several residents have since contacted Enbridge Gas and were informed that not all units may be properly accounted for, raising concerns about how these charges are being calculated. In addition to the billing concerns, there have been ongoing issues with property management, including pest problems (rats, mice, and roaches), lack of timely maintenance responses, and poor upkeep of common areas. During the winter, parking lots are not properly salted, creating unsafe conditions where residents, including children have slipped and fallen. Many of us chose to live in Beachwood because of its strong community and school system, but the current conditions and lack of transparency have been very disappointing. I strongly encourage current and prospective residents to ask detailed questions about billing and management practices before signing a lease. Only come here if you want to be ripped off. read more

I've had a very disappointing experience living here. Since moving in, the HVAC system has not worked properly, leaving my apartment uncomfortable and unlivable at times. Despite repeated requests, management has been slow and unresponsive in getting this resolved. On top of that, I still don't have a working key to my mailbox, which means I've been unable to access important mail for weeks. This is a basic necessity and should have been taken care of immediately. The lack of communication and follow-through from management has been extremely frustrating. Residents deserve safe, functional living conditions and timely responses to service requests, but unfortunately that has not been my experience here. read more

This place is absolutely horrendous! When I first moved in in 2019, there were few problems. As time progressed, the apartment complex in general starting getting more repulsive. There were times when there were multiple flies in my apartment. The carpet got stained from a break in the water pipes and it NEVER got fixed, so I lived with stains in the carpet for 2 years! The linoleum tile is decaying. The garbage upkeep is zilch. The common areas are disgusting and always filthy. The exercise room is always blasting music so loud it will forever ruin your hearing. (Oh, they did bring her a space heater...) The most terrible apartments in Beechwood. Nobody wants to repair anything. Water has been pouring from the neighbor's ceiling for 3 months. They can't repair the dishwasher for a month. The heater broke down three times over the winter. They don't take out the garbage well. A lot of flies. If they find your envelope with the address in the trash, they try to charge you for throwing the garbage in the wrong place. When talking to them in the office, they leave the answers. The police are often called. The police told me that they come here most often. There are the most problems here. I don't recommend it at all. This is the last year of life in this apartment. It's getting worse every year, and the prices are getting higher. It's a ghetto! read more

I do not recommend this property at all. The property manager, Lakesha Miller, has been extremely unresponsive to tenant concerns. When issues are brought up, she often becomes confrontational rather than helpful. Maintenance is poorly managed requests go unaddressed, and the buildings are frequently dirty. 6 Days after my last review... I come back from a work trip. Ready to take a lukewarm shower at least. Well that's a bust because this water is ICE COLD!! Even the sink water isn't getting hot. I've left numerous messages with no return call, I've put in a maintenance request that still hasn't been addressed. I hope you all don't plan on charging for water this month seeing as when I left on Friday, another tenant was talking about her cold shower. My rent will be going downtown to escrow until you all get this together and I can guarantee it will NOT include any water fees you all assess. I have had it! If it weren't for the fact that I hate wasting money (even though I still feel like I am in this apartment that Jack built) I'd pay the rest of the lease out and leave now. How in the heck are you all charging for something I can't control the temperature of BECAUSE OF YOUR OWN BUILDING ISSUES?! This lease can't end fast enough. There is no Vantage at the Vantage. Change the name to The Disadvantage. You all are ridiculous. What was discussed in that meeting last week, because not a doggone thing has changed other than the garage door being down. They've had water issues since I moved in and almost every month they had to shut the water off (sometimes without even notifying us first!!!!!!!) This is the worst it's been so far and I'm miserable, counting down the days until my move out date in May. :( If you are really considering moving here please listen to me and DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I was sold a dream moving here. I am not the type to write a review but today did it. I am highly unsatisfied and have been with the amount of money I am spending on a 3-bedroom apartment here. It is FAR from luxury. You can't get a hold of anyone here. When you call, leave voicemails or even send emails that's not enough for them. They just tell you to "stop in the office" to wait in a huge line of other unsatisfied residents. It is a huge inconvenience not to be able to call because people have to WORK. People have KIDS. This past month, two Hispanic guys just walked right in and said that they were there to fix the dishwasher.................I'll let that sink in. I moved in on September 7th. Since moving in I have not had a good experience. Every week something is broken and maintenance takes a very long time to get around to fixing any issues. My shower did not work for the first WEEK that I had been living here. Despite putting in a maintenance request nobody came to fix it. They continued to tell me every day that someone was coming that day to fix it but nobody ever came. It wasn't until I went and sat in the office and would not leave until they sent someone up to my apartment with me to fix the problem. I went a whole week without a working shower which is absurd. Since then I have had problems with my toilet not flushing properly. I put in a maintenance request and waited for someone to come fix it.... Surprise nobody came until I went to the office and confronted them. Later in the week I had gotten a notification that the problem had fixed. I came home and the problem has not been fixed. My oven has also broken twice now. The first time I went to the office and someone came up and fixed it immediately. Currently my oven is broke again. I put in a maintenance request five days ago and have not received any updates. I have tried to avoid going down to the office because I find it ridiculous that that is the only way to get anything done. I have called several times and gotten no response. I have left multiple messages and multiple emails looking for an update on a timeline for when this problem will be fixed and I have gotten no response. I went to the office today and asked if I could get a timeline on when somebody would come and requested for someone to come today because I have been eating out for the past six days and can not afford to keep doing so. The lady in the office told me she could not give me a time that someone would be able to come but she would call me when she finds out. This is very frustrating for me because I have been told the same thing multiple times. They always say they will send someone up that day and nobody ever shows up. I told her my frustration and she thought I was crazy for not believing that she would actually call even though through my experience I'm not confident that the problem will not get fixed unless I am sitting there waiting to physically see someone enter my apartment. I work a full time job. I do not have time to sit in the office every week when there is a problem to wait for someone to fix it. I understand that they are extremely understaffed but they need to be better about communicating a timeline to the residents who are paying this amount of money for these apartments that's are constantly having maintenance issues. On top of that, my hot water sucks and I have to get that fixed at least once a week or I will be taking cold showers. read more

You will hear the bar in the middle of the complex 9 nights out of 10 with your windows closed. There is trash everywhere! The trash shoot breaks about once every other week. There are flies everywhere. The laundry machines have mold in them and leak. The hot tub was working for about 3 weeks of the 12 months we lived here. The last time I was in the gym, there was no air conditioning and it was 90 degrees. One of the garage doors has been broken for months. There are an insane amount of issues here. To write them all would require a 17 page essay. However, the biggest issue is that it's 90 degrees outside, and maintenance has not responded to fix our A/C in a week and 2 days. We notified emergency maintenance with 0 response. This is genuinely dangerous for pets, elderly, and the very young. I would only recommend this place if you are a raccoon because there is trash literally everywhere. Oh, and the outdoor pool hasn't worked for the entire summer. 0/10. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this legendarily bad apartment complex. read more

I lived here part of 2020 until most of 2022. the elevators never worked- people got stuck in them all of the time. packages are always stolen from the mail room and there is zero security in there. the hot tub was "under construction because of a leak" for the entire 2 years I was there. the outdoor pool was NEVER open for the 2 summers I was there. the trash chutes are always clogged and have trash bags and trash spilling out of the chutes (you can't even get the door open because of how much trash in there) nobody at the leasing office is EVER available- they don't answer your phone calls, maintenance never solved my issues. when I moved out; mind you, I was there just to sleep. I worked a TON and I traveled for work- I think I cooked there maybe 4 times. I am a super clean person. -during move-out they charged me over $300 for "excessive carpet cleaning" even though I have no pets and always swept, have never spilled anything or wore my shoes inside- they charged me for "excessive stove cleaning" which is hilarious to me considering I barely cook... and "excessive microwave cleaning" - ALL IN ALL- my point is that these are all things that cleaning people should be doing anyways. I cleaned before I left. they just want more money. one time I was in the leasing office and the manager Ashley told me to my face that they dont charge for nails I'm the wall because it's normal to hang stuff up and that's included in the tenant move-out maintenance. I had ONE small drywall rip in the living room from a command strip and not even kidding not a single nail hole in the wall.... and they charged me for that too. moral of the story... do NOT move here because it is literal hell. nothing works. nothing gets fixed. and they try to screw you even harder on the way out. this place is so disgusting And I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to move here. read more

My ceiling has been leaking and mold inside my walk in closet for a year now, do you think they've fixed it? Nope. They are racist to say the least. My neighbor, who happened to be a white woman, had the same issue inside her unit and her situation was rectified immediately. Mine is pushing a year. July 25, 2023 will be an entire year they have failed to fix my apartment. They said due to the weather they couldn't fix it at the moment but now that it is summer no one has yet to fix it. They attempted to offer to " transfer" me to a more habitable apartment, but they wanted me apply as if I was a new tenant, pull my credit again, and raise my rent $300. I am already a tenant in a lease that does not expire until April 2024, why would I be reapplying for an apartment when they issue is the responsibility of the owner's. Do not rent here, they have contractors onsite daily to make their buildings look better but cannot find a single contractor to fix my ceiling. This place is a complete shit show! read more

So, I lived there for a year because of work. Got a 2 bedroom and the rent was OFFENSIVELY HIGH for what you get. I had to manually fill up my toilet to get it to flush for 6 months because the 27 maintenance requests I put in wasn't enough to get maintenance done. We waited 4 months for a working dishwasher, and 3 months for a refrigerator that did not generate mold. On top of this, the building I lived in literally stank like Black & Milds and urine constantly. For the year I lived there, I don't think I saw the hallway carpets cleaned once. The washing machines also never worked properly. The pool outside and the indoor hot tub were never in working order. Most of the amenities you pay for (except for the gym, which is probably the only saving grace here) straight up are currently out of order and have been for the better part of a year now. The tenants treat the building like garbage, the buildings smell like garbage, and the management is equally as garbage as the property. Don't live here. You get absolutely scammed. read more

I'm trying to figure out how The Vantage Apartments got 5 stars from anybody. The past year since Goldoller has taken over has been a disaster. The hallways are disgusting and smell of marijuana and garbage. There is trash on the floors that is left there for weeks. The laundry rooms are gross with mold inside the washing machines. The old management company had employees that used to thoroughly clean these areas daily. The shower heads have been replaced with cheap shower heads that are Only fit for a bird to take a shower. There also used to be security at the gate at night that would record the names of visitors and the residents they were visiting and would only allow them in if the names they provided were legit residents. Instead the gate is now open for all to access. This explains why a package of mine was open and had items stolen. The former management company used to have all packages delivered to RESIDENTS SERVICES to prevent this. There have been reports of prostitution and people trying to enter apartments by wiggling the door handle hoping that the door was unlocked. The rent keeps going up and now they added a utility charge which I don't understand because I still pay electricity. Do not Rent here! It's dirty and not safe. read more

New management ruined the place. They make every effort to bring in new renters, and once in, they just look for ways to make money. The exterior was painted and leasing offices were renewed - these mean nothing to current renters. On the other hand, they found new streams of revenue on the renters' expense (for example decide on crazy fines on being one day late on rent; change the shower heads so there will be no water flow; save on plowing snow - a real disgrace to see what goes on in the driveways on snowy days). Whatever they do to the exterior does not make it a luxury place, and their changes to save money have definitely downgraded the place. Their increased rent really made it overpriced, as to start with, the place is old, things fall apart, and the apartments have absolutely no noise isolation (you can hear your neighbors all day (and night) long). On top of that there are constant harassments from management with notices about random inspections, in which they are looking for new ways to charge and fine. I would highly suggest not to get into this place as no matter what show they put on when presenting it, you are up to many surprises and disappointments. read more

I DO NOT recommend these apartments. When we first moved in, it was great and that QUICKLY changed. The halls are disgusting, always trash. Doors are propped open all the time, I close doors ALL THE TIME. Sometimes people will break the handles to keep the door open. The gates are always open or broken, or both. So with open gates and propped doors there is NO SENSE of security. When you're paying this much in rent, should security be an issue? Also now recently, we've had somebody's child DAMAGING our property, throwing eggs at our cars, dropping random toys/trash on our balcony and by our balcony. But the office "can't do anything" because we can't tell them exactly who it is. We have camera all around the building but those must be for show, because half of the things that happen here wouldn't If those cameras actually worked. But they use those cameras as intimidation and tell people if trash is left they will check the cameras. CHECK THE CAMERAS FOR SECURITY PURPOSES. People leaving trash is the LEAST of their worries, but goes to show you how much they value their residents. DO NOT MOVE HERE, pick any complex on this street, but do not pick this one. read more
