What's the point of online tickets if they don't even reserve your seats or place to watch the movie why not update your website to sold out?!? Decent movie theatre. The sound was good, the theatre was clean, and no lines of any kind to buy tickets or use the restroom. Really nice staff working, all appear to be teenagers, in black ties. Super cheap movie tickets - only $12 for an adult for an evening show. They told us they have VIP seating which is $16 an adult, for 21+ and over only, and food can be ordered including alcohol. We didn't care about the alcohol and we had already had dinner so we stayed with the regular seats. read more

I took my young family to watch wild robot a PG rated cartoon. I was surprised that the cinema chose rated R trailers, including The Exorcist, Halloween, and The Shining before the movie started. I think the theater is trying to run a promotional for throwback horror movies for Halloween. The trailers were not age-appropriate my children and I got up and left. Then we get up to get our snacks and there were 5 young workers who were just standing around talking and messing around not paying attention or doing their job. New, clean and BIG, VIP is the best way to go. Holiday weekend found me in Wenatchee and ready to get out of the house. VIP tickets purchased on line and we were ready to go. Upon arrival, the large, indoor Size matters here and the concessions ares is no different. There's no need to stop, we're VIP. Direct to the ticket taker and town the hall to the VIP waiting room. Here you'll find a bar with beer, wine, candy and popcorn in a room with booths and high tops for relaxing before the flick. Show Time! Entering the medium sized, stadium seating, theater, with killer sound and seats your butt will not fall asleep is a breath of fresh air. There's bigger theaters but the size is perfect. You won't feel packed in. The seats are paired and the middle armrest will rais if you want to cuddle with the person next to you. If you don't know them, make sure you ask first. On the opposite arm is a large tray and cup holder. The plush seats rock but a little too far back for my confort. I don't drop the seat back an roll with my arm out the window either. I found myself adjusting throughout the long movie to keep comfortable. Others in the group did not have this problem. Maybe it was the movie. There is a price for greatness and here, it will cost you $15.50 admission rather than the usual $10.50. Come on kids, 5 bucks? You can do that. And speaking of kids, there are none. 21+ only in the VIP. This is a big selling point for me. With movies getting longer, why watch it in anything but VIP? read more

Hello, I recently had an unfortunate experience at the Gateway Cinemas in Wenatchee, WA. Yesterday (6/13/23) on the rare occasion that I get off work (when working out of town) at a reasonable hour, I decided to go to the movies. I was excited to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie. The ticket cost 10ish dollars. I also purchased a medium popcorn and a large soda. I have no clue what that cost, 17-20 dollars? As the previews started, there was no picture. The staff tried to get the picture to work but they couldn't . The manager explained that the projector needed to be repaired but we wouldn't be able to watch the movie right then and offered passes. No refunds were offered. I thought, I still want to see this movie and I'll get up earlier and work harder and make it to tomorrow's showing. I did just that but because I make a living repairing things, I just couldn't get to the theater in time to see that movie. I thought I would see the new Transformers movie instead. That ticket was more expensive than the one I got. Of course, I was willing to pay the difference. The clerk stated that was not an option (kindly) and asked if I'd like to speak to the manager. I did. She stated that they couldn't substitute for a higher cost ticket. I agreed and offered to pay the difference. She said no. I then asked for a refund for the cost of the ticket I purchased (again, $10). She again, said no and I should have asked for a refund yesterday. When I said she wasn't offering refunds she said I could have asked. I said that I wanted to spend my money with them. She said she'd have to call her GM. During this conversation, no foul language was used and, for the most part, a civil tone was kept on both sides. The manager did tell me to "stop with the attitude" after the 3rd and a bit stern request for a refund for a service that I paid for but did not receive. She called her GM and he too denied the refund. I told her that I am working out of town and will have no use of this "pass" once I leave town. She had little compassion and the overall reason for denying the refund was because their books would be off today. It's ok if the books are off yesterday, as long as it's on the plus side, my thoughts, not her words. I abruptly left, thanking her. I specifically said you've been great, thank you. There may have been a touch of sarcasm in my tone. Here's the issue. It's not $10. It's that I paid for something that was never received, the principle of the matter. I work out of town often and when I do, I try to find local restaurants, shops, etc. If I can find a mom n pop place, I go there instead of a chain. I planned on buying dinner, drinks and popcorn at the show I was denied access to as well as the difference of the ticket cost to a movie I wanted to see less that the movie I originally paid for. I ended up buying a digital movie on Amazon (the anti-small theater) and spending around $100 on food and drinks at a different establishment, hopefully not owned by the Lassila family. Oh, and I bought an AMC Stubbs subscription. I will never patronize another establishment owned by sun basin theaters and I will ask friends and family to do the same. Please enjoy the last $10 I will ever spend with you. I'm sure the impact will be less than minimal and I'll be surprised if anyone reads this but...principle. read more

I was working in the area for a little bit and the person I was staying with wanted to out and see a movie. We got there for a show and the line was out the door. It was really annoying since there was plenty of room to do a Disneyland style line. Instead workers and people were just content with awkwardly standing in the door way in the sun until it was their time to buy tickets. The theater experience isn't terrible. Things just felt a little dated. The floor was also kind of dirty in the lobby area. It felt like I was walking on popcorn half the time. There were a ton of kids out there since Aladdin just opened that weekend, so there's that. I don't imagine myself coming back, but then again there aren't that many theater options in town. Went to see new Spiderman movie with my 8 year old grandson. The movie was great, the experience NOT so much. The auditorium was pretty full. One guy sat in my row, with NO Mask and coughing, on his cell phone throughout the move and when he left all his garbage was on the floor. There was also garbage under our seats from the previous show. Unfortunately they do not enforce the "Masked Required" policy making it uncomfortable for those of us who take the virus seriously and the cleaning is pretty hit or miss. read more

This place is crazy expensive! Lackadaisical employees to boot. I was in town for a conference and decided to come see a movie after our training was over. This cinema was close so I headed over. Imagine my surprise when I arrived at a matinee time and had to pay $8.50! Regular prices are 11.00. Popcorn is always expensive so I expected that but they were more expensive than any other theater I have ever been to and the sizes were small. I asked for buttered and they squirted a few drops on top but nothing anywhere else. I was the only one standing in line so it isnt like they didnt have time to butter the popcorn. The kids working were not real polite and very aloof. The movie theater itself was great. It is new so what else would you expect? Afterwards I stopped by the cafe to get a panini. It was very good but very small for 8.00. If I was ever back in Wenatchee I will look for a different theater if I get the hankering to see a movie. read more

Pretty good experience. VIP section was expensive but worth it for 21+ (yay for no loud kids/teens!) Could either bring in food from the main part of the theater or order from the VIP menu. VIP section also had it's own bathrooms. Not as impressive as the Orion in Yakima, but a good alternative for 21+ theaters in the region. read more

Just drove down from Omak last evening to see the new Jurassic World: Dominion movie. We had advanced tickets for the VIP screen. The staff was cheerful, pleasant and helpful. My daughter and I purchased adult beverages and we were also offered ice water in glasses which the staff delivered to our seats. We also order food, which the staff informed might take a little while to prepare as it had been very busy. The food was delivered to our very comfortable seats and it was hot and it was good! Only adult Patrons inside the VIP screening so it was the ultimate viewing experience. Excellent sound and picture! This theatre is clean and comfortable. Many other people also there to enjoy movies that evening. It felt like going to the movies with your neighbors. Love this theatre and will be back! read more

Kinda sad we we paid 16 dollars to be in the VIP section and we asked when we came in if we could order food latter. They said yes no problem. my husband went to order us food at 7pm they said kitchen was closed.the movie started at 6:30 it seems kinda weird to me a half hour later food service is over. Writing an update to my previous review after the busy Christmas week. In my previous review, I mentioned the seats being comfortable. However we came and saw a movie on Christmas Day and today, and I thought the seats were AWFUL. They lean back to much and don't provide comfortable neck support. We just sat through The Hobbit and I left with a head and neck ache from those chairs. Terrible. I have no idea if they changed them or what since we are from out of town. Also there really need to get electronic kiosks to dispense tickets. Most movie theaters have them so you can order them online and pick them up. This theater though still makes you wait in line with everyone else which kind of defeats half of the purpose. I can't believe how much they charge for popcorn. Decent theater with good friendly help. Back east lots of theaters have machines that give you tickets and seats so it's nice to have actual people help you out and give you information. There are the typical concessions and a few arcade games in the lobby with plenty of room to stand but could have a little more seating. The actual theater was nice, lots of smooth seating that reclined slightly. What could be improved on is the parking lot. I'm sure this isn't a year round issue but the whole lot is like sheet of ice.. There were lots of people coming and going into the theater and everyone looked like they were walking on a tightrope and even heard a woman say "I need my ice skates!" I'm surprised no one was hurt. Still am Not impressed with the VIP section of this theater. We ordered food and it took around 45 minutes into the movie to actually get it (husband had to go fetch it). We had ordered at least 10 minutes before the movie started. The other thing that I dislike about the VIP area is that the two individual stall bathrooms have no hanging hooks for coats or purses. So you are left to either wedge them somewhere or onto the less than desirable floor. What if you have popcorn or a drink before or after the movie too? Kind of strange they didn't think those things might be handy to have in the more spendy area of the theater. read more

I'll reiterate others' reviews that the VIP is the way to go. I was not sure what to expect from Wenatchee, having been to Cinebarre and The Big Picture in the Seattle area. I was hoping for table service, but it's not quite up to that level: you order at the bar, and take it with you to your seat. SUPER comfy seats, by the way. The sound system was pretty good and the slope of the theater is steep enough that nobody will block your view sitting in front of you. I would have to say that I didn't expect to pay 15 bucks to see a movie, but, you know, you get what you pay for. read more

A group of us, along with 9 kids 9 and under, were camping at Alta Lake and needed to escape the extreme heat, and so we decided that we would to a movie. With poor cell service, I purchased 14 VIP tickets by accident, and this movie theater would not refund me the difference in ticket price of $94. Nor would they give me any sort of concessions credit or even a gift card to the theater and I don't even live in Wenatchee. I was told they just started a new policy were tickets are not refundable. Both managers were unhelpful, and not even trying to be helpful. As much as I love the movies, it's service like this that would make stream them at home instead. read more

Disappointed. I purchased online tickets and 15 min later the person I was going with vomited. The movie started at 7:00. I tried contacting the theater- of course you cannot get thru to a live person. I left an email message and a voicemail for the Manager at 6:25. She called at 7:28. Told me all internet sales were final, then said if I would have been there in person Before the movie time they could have been refunded. I stated I called early enough to have driven there.
