As someone who isn't from the USA and relocated from United Kingdom , it was important that I made the correct choice when it came to education in the United States , after doing my research and reaching out to different schools who have a massage program I chose gateway because from the first contact with Mr Tapscott he was super friendly , passionate and helpful , he made sure I had all the information I needed and he directed me to the right place to complete my registration to the program . The price is amazing and they definitely can charge way more for the service they provide , gateway and especially Mr Tapscott made the process so easy and comfortable . My first day of class was so welcoming and they went the extra mile to make sure I/ we students were comfortable , I had the best experience at gateway and this experience was due to my fellow classmates but mostly for the teachers attitude and pride in teaching , Mr Tapscott , ms bouer, and mr Ybarra were amazing , they are so good at what they do and the effort and dedication they put in to each and every student sets them apart from any other education opportunity I've taken , we created a family and this includes the teachers , they allowed us to learn at our own pace and didn't disrespect us , they encouraged us , the material in the program was inspiring and the method of teaching made the learning fun , it was a pleasure to go to gateway for the 9 months of the program and I looked forward to seeing my teachers and classmates everyday throughout the course , the program allows for Externship which gives us the opportunity to work with others in the community also work with employers of massage therapy , it gives you an insight to what to expect after the program . This in my option gives you the experience and confidence to be successful in your future , I love Mr Tapscott and is in my opinion an amazing teacher , a kind , honest , trustworthy person who has pride in his work , he has a pride for everything he does or talks about , I couldn't of asked for a better college to attend and I am blessed to be apart of the experience and to see people who are passionate about what they do to improve peoples lives . I felt included and that I had a voice within this experience. The Gateway Community College Massage Therapy program was absolutely amazing! When I was researching the many schools available, I took a tour with the instructor Mr. Tapscott, and could immediately feel how sincerely passionate he is about teaching, and how much he believes in this program. The price is very affordable, and I love that the school is not out to just make as much money as possible. It is more about providing an outstanding education. I have never met a group of instructors that cared so much about the success of their students. Mr. Tapscott, Ms. Bauer, and Mr. Ybarra were there for us every day to ensure that we understood all of the material and were able to put that information to use to become great massage therapists. They also encouraged all of the students to be themselves, think outside the box and tap into their own creativity to set them apart from other massage therapists. Mr. Tapscott created a forum that allowed everyone in the class to feel free to express themselves openly and honestly. I just finished the Massage Therapy program at Gateway Community College, I am very grateful for being able to find Mr. Tapscott and his team, as well as for being admitted in to the program. I looked in to other schools and before I got any information, the first question they asked me was "How are you going to pay for the school?", they also asked me what type of job I had; I felt that I was under a very strict scrutiny; since at that point they did not give me any information about the school and their programs and they already wanted to know everything about my financial situation. When I received the information about Mr. Tapscott and his program at Gateway, I sent him an email and the first thing he let me know was that yes, there was a place for me, he also gave me the instructions and information I was looking for without any hesitation or uncomfortable questions. i just wanna say , this is a amazing place to study , as a new immigrant , i have a big problem in language barriers, which let me kind of scared of joining the group , but you know what , all the teachers like mr. i love the massage school! have been going to them on and off for 30 years since they were at the metro area. please verify the name but im pretty sure my masseur was courtney, it was a beautiful massage, i told her she was ready to hit the road :) she asked if she could include my face and head which i had never had before and it was great, relaxing. she was very thorough and added a few 'cute' things like preasure on the ear lobes which she said she enjoys so she added them for me to enjoy. she went from complete top to bottom, i was very happy and relaxed when she was done. i liked the new music and the bed warmer because it was cold read more

I recently had the pleasure of getting an excellent massage from a student with the Gateway Community College at Massage Therapy Clinic. The students are all very professional and knowledgeable - I enjoyed knowing that I was getting an excellent massage from someone who was practicing and honing their skills and I was getting a deal pricewise, (2 hrs for $40!!) They are eager for feedback, so that you don't feel weird asking for more pressure, avoiding a tender spot or whatever, as has happened to me in resorts or high end spas that make you feel like you are inconveniencing them by stating a request.
