Due to the Red Tide beach issue, they were giving free admission the week that I was there. I thought that was really fantastic of them to do that! They have a great pool and waterslide. There is also a toddler area. The grounds looked really nice and included well kept sports fields. I saw some signs regarding different events like yoga, Back to School, and obstacle night. We went because we couldn't go to the beach but even if that wasn't the case, this would be a great place to spend a day!

There is a pay lot easily within walking distance. The beach is huge. Nice white sand. There are bars with music, food trucks and snack vendors all right at the beach. There are public bathrooms right by the free parking. There are places that rent chairs and umbrellas. But we brought our own. It's a great family beach. Perfect for walking or just playing in the sand or water. Some shells on the beach, if you are looking for a souvenir. If you stay later than 2pm you will experience some crazy traffic getting to the bridge. But a great place to hang out!

However, the playground equipment is in good condition with a soft base. It is in excellent condition and ready for reopening. The basketball court has some filled cracks but is otherwise good. The only thing I do wish, is that all pet owners understood the importance of keeping pups on leash where kiddos play. Especially since there is also a nearby dog park and it's not really fair to other dogs who are leashed and may not know the general attitude of the puppies running freely around the park. This, is not a reflection of Estero community park, however. The human condition after-all, hasn't anything to do with the park itself; more so its one-off visitors whom don't seem to consider their neighbors; I suppose.
