What a deal! The saltwater pool is staffed by friendly lifeguards and kept up to code. While no locker rooms per se, one can shower and change in the pool house. Separate sections of course for men and women. There are water slides for kids, picnic tables, shaded chaise lounges .... and the pool itself is heated. At no extra charge are 10:30 a.m. water aerobics classes, conducted by lifeguards Tuesday through Friday. The pool is popular, with plenty of folks showing up even when it's chilly, for water aerobics. As a newbie to the area, I'm impressed with how friendly and helpful the "regulars" have been to me.

I have been a member since 2019 and slacked a little during COVID and when I got back they implemented a new 3D system for your body that tell you body fat and focus areas.. it's pretty interesting they also have a nutritionist on staff that gives you a food plan. The prices are a little high but they help keep the younger people out of the gym which makes it more comfortable for me to work out. I also took one of the best yoga classes in the yoga studio. My complaint revolves around my credit request for a mistake their Fort Myers FL office made in billing me for a personal training charge ($260) while my account was on summer pause. I put my membership on pause effective in May until my planned return to mid-October. I called their office manager (Connor) to request a credit on that $260 training charge explaining obviously I could not have personal training while my membership was on pause. He informed me that LA Fitness does not give credit regardless of the circumstances. When I explained that it would have been impossible for me to get training while my account was on pause, he acknowledged my logic was correct but reiterated that he was not allowed to correct the mistake. I also contacted their corporate customer services department to see if they would resolve this matter. But they too said they would not issue a credit. Logically it does not seem to be good business practice and certainly not good customer service and just further reinforces the negative impression people have in general about the fitness business. I have since cancelled my membership and am pursuing all efforts to get my bill corrected.
