Choir and piano area to the left most of the space, which contributes to the good acoustics. Spacious parking lot with several entrances and exits, a definite plus during the beginning and end of each Mass service. Numerous other sacred spaces with religious statues. Great for quiet and solo contemplation or prayer. Interior has a very unusual structure - a large marquee style area above the altar- I've never seen that anywhere and I've been to cathedrals in Italy and Spain and the Holy Land. I was here for a friend's memorial service, the priest had a deacon celebrate with him. Deacon Joshua had very comforting words to say to the grieving family. Missals provided I. I wished I had something else to change into, but I didn't. I almost didn't go inside, but I was struggling emotionally and reminded myself that Jesus accepts us as we are. Unfortunately, a woman approached me and told me not to come back to the church dressed like that. I went to my car and cried. I came looking for Jesus and community during a time when I desperately needed both, and instead I left feeling ashamed and unwelcome. That experience has stuck with me.

I was discipled by the woman at this church and have learned a lot from attending Sunday School as well. There are many helping hands who care for my spiritual well-being here. There are multiple ministries and groups to be plugged into. There are also a lot of resources for new believers and believers who want to be involved and connected. This church is continually growing and I'm excited to see how it will look like in the years to come!

The congregation is very welcoming and very open to newcomers. This can be seen by the first few faces that a person meets at the church: their welcome table. It has all the neccities to make one feel welcome: information about the church; personal items such as masks, tissues and informational pamphlets; and most importantly, welcoming people--volunteers with the sole job of making people feel welcome by answering any questions a newcomer might ask. The elders there are also amazing as well. Especially the Pastor. Pastor Ben delivers very thought-provoking sermons coupled with compassion and prayer. The elders' hearts can also be seen by the various ways that Anchor Community Church invites its congregation to worship. First and most obvious: the worship team. The worship team consist of various members rotate leading and serving on stage. You can tell that they spend hours practicing so that they can deliver the best experience that really allows the congregation to worship God distraction free. Other ways that the Anchor Community Church invites its congregation to worship God is through its Community Groups. This is where I feel Anchor Community Church really shines. Through its Community Groups, I have found that I am able to worship God and have biblical fellowship that edifies and encourages one another by discussing the previous sermons and by studying the Bible together.
