Last night I decided to give them one last try and booked a 90 minute massage. For the first 30 - 40 minutes, I kept hearing a buzzing and the massage therapist kept either switching to one hand or just resting a hand for a minute or so without moving it. I finally looked up to find that she had been texting the whole time she was working on me. I called her out on it and she finally focused on the massage. Will not be going back. If you're thinking of going here, don't waste your time or money.

She focused mainly on my right leg, spent like 15 mins on my left leg and 30 minutes on my right.. I got bored of the same techniques. She wanted me to take off my necklace which is a first and unheard of move by anybody that I ever got a massage from. Coughed more than 10 times, but she got a mask on. When she had me turnover for my back massage, she let go of my head rest without care and my whole head just quickly fell with the head rest from an elevated angle all the way to the lowest which is straight like a table. I wrote a check for that and she insisted that she saw a $50 cash in my purse that she could give me a change for. Why are they so demanding? as if she gave me the favor? I am the one paying so I should have at least demanded privacy. I would never never go there again. And I don't recommend to anyone .... (Ended up using CC for the tip). I have a favorite masseuse, who knows me on sight (despite my having lost a good 50lbs since the last time I saw him), and he is incredible: frightfully strong, competent hands, that somehow know what I'm suffering from, and how to fix it, without me uttering a word. Last night's visit was a little different. My wife has been suffering from a pinched nerve in her back for almost two weeks now, which has caused all manner of excruciating pain in her neck, shoulder blade, and radiating all down her right arm, to the point of bringing her to tears. Despite her incredibly high pain tolerance, she has declared, on more than one occasion, that she would "rather be in labor again" than have to deal with the agony any longer. It was time to call in the big guns. Fortunately, my long time masseuse was still there, and available. After sitting her down and explaining her situation, he went to work for 30 minutes, focusing on all of the locations mentioned. He seemed to intuitively know what to do, and at the end of it all, my wife sighed in relief...the first time in two weeks...at the almost total alleviation of her pain. Overnight, the pain did come back, but greatly reduced from before, along with a little expected soreness. Whereas before she was nearly paralyzed at times, she's able to move about, and function like a human being again. Issues like this rarely go away after a single treatment, but as several chiropractic and urgent care visits, as well as a cocktail of pain killers, haven't been able to mitigate her suffering at all, the fact that a single visit to Orchid Massage was enough to set her to rights is just about the best recommendation I could give for this place. We'll absolutely be back for a follow-up visit (or two) for her, and maybe I'll get around to addressing that knot in the back of my neck, as well. I know just the guy who can do something about it!
