Unfortunately bad experience this time. Didn't get her name. True unprofessional. Didn't like my tip and demanded to pay more. She did put in some work but massage was okay. She focused mainly on my right leg, spent like 15 mins on my left leg and 30 minutes on my right.. I got bored of the same techniques. She wanted me to take off my necklace which is a first and unheard of move by anybody that I ever got a massage from. Coughed more than 10 times, but she got a mask on. When she had me turnover for my back massage, she let go of my head rest without care and my whole head just quickly fell with the head rest from an elevated angle all the way to the lowest which is straight like a table. Came in for the first time with a plus one on a rainy Sunday. We made an appointment the day before and are happy we did because they are popular! We both had a one hour combo foot and body massage. Woah nelly. After a foot massage, neck and scalp massage we got a full back massage with hot stones. Also a punch card! My masseuse was very friendly and funny. To the smiling guy who would point at the foot map while laughing with me; you're the funnest! Oh my dog, I'm so happy we came in! Will definitely be back. This is NOT the old Bay Foot Massage. It is now the L & H Spa and was the worst massage I've ever received. It is just a front for a "jack shack" and the young lady who spoke no english was dressed like 14 year old school girl. There is no atmosphere or music and she communicates with you through Google translated app. The massage was a "weak wet noodle, soft pressure" touching of the back and legs. It was clear she has no massage training, however stayed 20 minutes on each thigh, "accidentally" grazing my pubic area while giggling. It was a waste of money, time and an overall LAME experience. Hopefully her weak "doll hands" give hand jobs, because a massage, they do not. HARD FAIL. read more

Absolutely the best one hour reflexology foot massage I've ever had. I called for my appointment and when I arrived I was seated right away, no waiting. The spa has good size individual spaces that are clean and have a great feeling. Sam, my massage therapist was amazing and did wonders for the neuropathy pain from cancer that I have in the bottoms of my feet. Would recommend to everyone. I can't wait for my next visit. Clean, cheap and very relaxing. We got the 60 min foot massage (which is basically a full body with main focus on feet) and it was a good deal for $25. You're not in your own room or anything so it's not quiet with people coming in the door during your hour. But they soak your feet in hot water to start out, have a blanket over you and lean back your chair. While your feet are soaking they'll massage your arms, head, and legs then start on your feet. Eventually have you flip over and give you a quick, but not rushed, back massage. I really enjoyed it and will go back! read more

There are a lot of pros and cons to coming to a different place like this. First is the price. $65 for a 90 minute massage is amazing! But don't look it up online. I got connected to a wrong website and it turned out I thought it was the wrong price. So that's my mistake. They were really accommodating to my time and to my boyfriends mom. She can be pretty sensitive but the lady was able to give her enough pressure to not overwhelm her. She informed them of her knee surgery and they were really respectful. I enjoyed my massage to a point. I wish I had gotten a female masseuse because I wouldn't have ran into the problems of me feeling uncomfortable. Various parts of the massage were great. Some not so great parts that made me stiff were when I could feel parts of the person when they leaned over to massage me. And it happened several times. I felt very uncomfortable and just tried to ignore it. I don't believe this was intended in any way to cause discomfort which is why I'm not blasting with a 1 Star review. But this is why I make sure to know my comfort limits and why I should make sure to speak up when I felt weird. But this is still a fantastic place. The place was clean. The people were nice and friendly. They were able to be flexible with the scheduling of fitting us both in. UPDATE: Came back here to have a foot massage and it was the worst massage Ive ever had. So bad it was actually annoying as the gentleman kept rubbing my shin bone with his long scratchy pinky nail over and over . I stopped him and asked to be switched to someone else. While it was better it wasn't good. Plus they use A TON of bleach and tide in their laundry you lay on and they put on my face. I'm super sensitive to chemicals and my face has bumps all over it when i got into my car. I'm sorry i won't be back and it's a shame too ;( ---/// We loved it here! We all came in together. You never really know what to expect from massage parlors, but let me tell you, this one will exceed any expectations you have. I guarantee it. My GF and I arrived for our appointment, which I conveniently booked using Yelp messaging. We were the only two people there, so it was basically a private message. I love the partitions they have set up. What to wear: wear as little as possible. Tank top and loose shorts if you can. If you are not wearing the right clothes, they have some for you to put on in a changing room. For a $25 foot massage, you basically get a full body massage, from face, scalp, shoulders, arm, feet, legs, and back. It's one of the best massages I've ever gotten. Been here twice & they do NOT disappoint!! Even though it may look kind of sketch/ weird, it's actually not as bad once you settle down. This place is VERY affordable so make sure you tip your masseuse, i usually like LOTS of pressure with my massages so i've been paired with a male. I cannot believe the service I had here. One of the worst places I've been too. I didn't even get the massage because once sat and ready to relax, the store owner changed his prices to double what he initially told my sister and I. He claimed to not have "understood me", but clearly it didn't match up to what he told 10 min prior. Laughed at me when I was tried to explain to him that he told me otherwise. I felt even more embarrassed when a man had to get up from his massage and try to talk to him and stand up for us. He was rude and stubborn. The folks here are AMAZING--they were digging out knots I didn't even know I had. We didn't have an appointment the second time and they were able to get us in immediately. I originally went in for a 1hr foot massage for $25 and saw the amazing prices so I switched it to a 1 hr foot massage and 30 minute body massage for only $50! Dede was amazing even with the slight language barrier she made such an effort to make sure she understood specific spot that needed attention and pressure points were perfect. After 3 day backpacking trip my body was beat. My feet and legs were in pain and my entire upper body was stiff from carrying huge backpack for the past few days. I did a 90 minute body and foot massage. It was essentially a full body massage. The lady that did my massage was able to put a huger amount of pressure on my problem areas and it was probably the best massage I've ever had. Def going back. Amazing place. The 60 minute, $25 "Foot Massage" is actually a nearly full body massage - just an emphasis on the feet and lower legs. Very clean, very friendly, and quiet (considering the location on Powell and 82nd). Almost no English, but you're getting a massage not trying to have a conversation. I'll be going back to try the "Body Massage" to see what the difference is. I'd definitely ask them to go a little harder next time, but that is the only thing I would change. If you are lucky enough to find out this place exists you must come try it! I just had the best massage of my life for only $25/hour. There was peaceful spa music playing and a restful atmosphere. The chinese lady who did my massage greeted me kindly and made me feel at home. The hot foot bath was ready in a clean wooden basin with a plastic liner. While my feet soaked she had me lean back for a fantastic face and scalp massage. Then she placed a folded washcloth over my eyes (I felt instantly transported to another dimension) and gave me a shoulder, arm, and neck massage. That alone would have been worth the visit, but it was only the beginning! Extensive reflexology foot and lower leg massage, then upper legs, and finally had me roll onto my stomach for a terrific back and neck massage. I was so relaxed I was having a hard time staying awake by the end. Note: this is an authentic Chinese style spa, so the massage chairs are in a communal space (great if you are going with friends) and the masseuse won't be shy about putting a knee on your bed to get a better massage angle. I agree that it's best to wear a tank top and shorts or loose, thin sweat pants. I didn't see a place to change so prob best to wear those to your appointment. I found the lotion mild and harmless, but if someone has sensitive skin and mystery lotion would be a stressor I'm sure it would be fine to bring your own. read more

My husband and I showed up for our appointments about 20 minutes early but were told we weren't on the books. When I phoned a week before, my name and phone number were not taken which made me a bit nervous. The receptionist had a list of phone numbers in a notebook. He wanted to see my cell phone to question that I had called. I had called from my landline at work. This was part of our Valentine evening and we were disappointed in this bad service. Such a great experience! I really enjoyed my one hour reflexology massage for $25!! So relaxing and perfectly done. I highly suggest that you wear shorts and a t-shirt or tank top. Two reasons, it's VERY warm in the shop and you'll get a better massage that way. They start with the face and scalp, then neck and back while your feet soak. After that they move to your legs and feet. Never felt weird or uncomfortable, but I understand the difference between going to a full body massage at a spa and a reflexology massage. I had a great massage here from Kevin - I decided on the 1 hr foot and 30 minute body. Moving to Portland for grad school from the Bay Area, where asian-style massage parlors are EVERYWHERE, I feel like I have struggled to find a place which offers these kinds of massages. As others have mentioned, the foot massage is a traditional reflexology massage, which means they will soak your feet in a tub of hot water while they do a fairly brief full body massage with your clothes on, in a room where others can also be massaged. If you are looking for a full day spa experience, you should probably look elsewhere. The body massages are more of a traditional massage, where you go into a private room and remove your shirt. There was also a few minutes of hot stone. Now that I have found this place, I know that I will be coming back - especially since they have a punch card where the 10th one is free!
