When we went in, around noon on a Saturday, we were greeted by a woman's rear-end adjusting the floor mat (-1 Star). A couple of moments later, and after a conversation among the hostesses, we were seated and promptly greeted by a nice waitress. They don't serve Coca Cola products (-1 Star) so despite the well stocked bar, I ordered a water. For lunch I ordered a buffalo wrap, which was good if you like it bland (-1) and with more lettuce than chicken tenders, just 2 small tenders in the wrap. One of our favorite places to eat in town. The food is not gourmet is average down home food that is consistent and tasty. This is not a restaurant for you if you were looking for high end steaks or fancy foods. But if you want just good quality food time and time again this is your place. read more

My kids would have loved it. Great decor. Twenty one pilots playing. Service was great. But food was just a little plain and over priced. The wedge salad for 9.99 needed piles of bacon and blue cheese, not the speckling it had. read more

I went to Gators with my extended family members. The atmosphere was pretty fair it was really busy when we were there. However, that did not stop the service being excellent. VERY attentive wait staff. I had the Prime rib which was the special that night. It literally melted in my mouth! It was prepared to perfection and bad boy was so god dang succulent it had me begging for more. Actually I could have had more if I had desired because it was so reasonably priced. I think that Gators is Fantastic Burlington Eatery and a true BURLINGTON IOWA landmark. So CHECK IT OUT!!!! read more

My boyfriend and I come here quite often. They have great staff and it is nice seeing the manager checking on customers in the evenings when we come for dinner. They have great food and moderately priced but the steaks are not consistent. Sometimes I will get a really dry steak, sometimes it will be charred way too much, and sometimes it is absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend Gators but if you are wanting a steak I would recommend going in the evening. They usually are cooked with more care. read more

Our Fastpitch softball team came here for lunch between games. Great variety on the menu. Great service. Wait staff made sure we were following our needed timeline to get back to the dome. Food was great and good size portions! Our server, Jamie, made sure everything was correct and good, kept our drinks filled and took great care of us! A brightly lit restaurant/bar wanna be with decent drinks. Kids crying in a booth next to the bar. Maybe should serve cocktails in a sippy cup! Avoid at all costs if you want a quiet drink at a nice bar. read more

The waitstaff there has completed changed. They are very rude and not attentive to the tables. The menu is too big, took 30 minutes just to decide and get through the pages. Food in the past use to be amazing. So many things have changed. read more

I've been coming to Gators with my family since I was a child, before they even moved to their new building. We would go here for birthdays, anniversaries, or just a family get together. My in laws just visited last weekend and I suggested going to Gators. Every single order was either prepared wrong (grilled shrimp instead of fried) or cold (my pasta and my fiance's mashed potatoes). When father in law told our waiter about the issues, he was polite about it and had the correct shrimp brought out for them BUT my $15 plate of pasta, while it had been re-microwaved, the bread that came with it had obviously been tampered with. Someone from the kitchen had clearly put some kind of hair on that bread, and served it to me upside down so I wouldn't know right away. That is disgusting and I will NEVER eat anything prepared from this restaurant ever again. MOT only is that completely disrespectful and gross, but I was completely embarrassed that my in-laws from our of state had to experience it too. read more
