A group of 29 had been in talks with them back in January and had arranged a coach to take us from Glasgow to Donnington and back, Wed - Monday. A total price was agreed upon and was paid in full immediately. Now with less than 10hrs before our departure a representative from the company has gotten in touch to say that the driver is sick and they have no other drivers. they have sourced a driver from another company but it will be £1000 extra that we need to pay right now. They will not tell us the company's name,website,contact phone number or any details what so ever. It sounds like it is one company that own all these little companies and are looking to line their own pockets. We feel like we are being blackmailed into giving them this extra money and are not going to do so. They have laughed on the phone at us and were conatantly hanging up. At one point even said "we where causing them stress" and are messing us around in regards to a refund. Just a warning incase anyone else trys to book a coach. 100% DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Its all start when I request for a bus rental from Aberdeen to Alnwick. We needed 2 busses for some young musician's that was arriving by plane to Aberdeen from Norway . We got an acceptable price and booked it. We also paid 50 present at once and the rest a mounts before departure. The evening before when we push to get the drivers name and phone numbers they ( Mr Henry Luu )just sent a mail were they cancelled the job because they said they had no drivers. Imagine this problem. 40 parents with kids arriving Aberdeen and have no transport at all! To make a long story short, we manage to get a bus from Aberdeen and returning with train to a lot of extra cost. Grand Coaches with their transport manager Henry Luu promised me in at least 50 e-mails that they should return the money I paid. I only got back the money I paid bu creditcard and not the rest. I am still waiting for the rest, nearly 2000 gbp ! I have sent a warning to all my colleagues in American Express travel and HRG and the word is no spread all over. So DO NOT use Grand Coaches and NEVER trust the transport manager Mr. Henry Luu ! Jan Inge Hansen

Brace yourself this is a long one!…read more We needed transport from our wedding venue to our banquet venue and being Londoners we thought why not have an old Routemaster. I did quite a bit of research and Routemasters for Hire were one of the cheapest I could find. Great! Initial contact was fine. Filled in form and spoke to someone called Simon. He seemed really happy to help and answered all my questions. Even suggested there could be a bit of standing room if we needed. Great! After receiving a quote, I rang up again to see what the absolute maximum with standing would be, this time I spoke to someone called Darren. He was incredibly rude and told me standing room was illegal. How was I supposed to know that when I had been told otherwise? The phone call finally ended fairly civil. Ok. Before paying the 50% deposit, I enquired via email how much it would cost to have the bus arrive an hour earlier for photos. Simon quoted an extra £30.00. Brilliant, so I was sent an invoice (by Darren) and I paid the 50% deposit and sent over my final booking form. In my mind everything was going swimmingly with guest transport. We paid the balance about 3-4 weeks before the wedding. About a 10 days before Darren rang me to go over the timings etc. Despite sending the form back in June/July there was no record of it. When we discussed the arriving an hour early we had a heated argument and I told that it cost £75 per half hour to arrive early! I was in shock. It went from £30 to £150. He claimed if we had read the t's and c's it stated extra time cost this amount. My response was I had been quoted £30 so why should I have to pay more. He was so rude. I said I didn't appreciate the way he was speaking to me. His response was well I can hang up then! I calmed down and I said I wanted to resolve the issue. I asked if we needed to depart at 6pm what time would the bus arrive, he said 6pm. I was also told if we rang over we would be charged £75! Absolute joke! So we needed to board 72 passengers in a blink of an eye or be charged £75. In the end I opted for the bus to arrive at 5:30pm and paid the £45 difference. We were too close to the wedding to try finding an alternative. The wedding was amazing, me and my other half didn't get the bus but I did hear that the bus was a little late but dealing with that was the ushers' responsibility. Everyone got on board on time and away we go. Now you may think that this is the end but no. The reason why the bus was late was it had come straight from another wedding. Not only late but the bus had the previous couples' name on the front and the bus was littered in confetti! Now I would have been fine with all of this if the bus driver apologised and changed the name to private hire. Under normal circumstances I won't have complained but having had an earful from Darren this was my limit. My other half rang Darren the Monday after and explained what happen. Darren was apparently concerned and asked we email him all the details and we included an image of the bus sign. We went on honeymoon, came back and no response. My other half looked at the t's and c's and it states all complaints are dealt within 7 days. We're now 24 days later. My complaint may seem small. But it's the lack of customer service that really bugs me, you really do get what you pay for! Please don't use this company it's not worth the hassle.
