I cancelled two appointments with his office. First time because I had a bad cold, the second because of a family emergency. I had to cancel these appointments within a month of each other. During this period of time, apparently I cracked a tooth and developed an infection. I called Dr. Gormleys office on a Monday and asked to be seen asap. The receptionist told me the first appointment they had was on Thursday. I explained I was a patient, i was sure i had an infection and was running a low grade fever. I asked if I could be seen earlier than Thursday. The receptionist said this was the first appointment they had available. I asked if they accounted for emergencies. The receptionist explained to me that I had MISSED two appointments and Thursday would be the first appointment they had for me! I said I did not miss two appointments, I cancelled two appointments. Again the receptionist told me all that was available was Thursday. I did find a dentist that day who saw me in the afternoon. He put me on an antibiotic for 10 days. The tooth needed to be removed once the infection cleared. I now see this dentist for regular checkups. I question the priorities of this office. This was the first time I have EVER been turned away by someone in the medical profession. Obviously I needed to see a dentist and needed treatment. Also, I think the office staff is given direction on how to manage patient care by the person whose business it is.

He drilled it and filled it then later on it got infected,and radiated to the adjacent tooth,the filled tooth eventually broke because it was drilled too much causing it to weaken and break. Another dentist pulled the one tooth and another needed a root canal and crown,it was over $3000. Also on the other side of my upper teeth he filled in between,it was a quick job, and never mentioned anything about a cavity (Cavities) but advised it would prevent the food from being packed in. Surprise, had to make payment after a root canal & crown. Dr.D doing the root canal left him with his mouth wide opened to go to the front and help Dr.J take payment from a patient. Another incident X-ray machine was not operating, had to drive back the next day from Syr.and was charged an office visit. Next time returning for the crown from Syr., waiting and told the crown hasn't arrived. Days later it comes in. Then the crown falls out, had to go back Dr.J puts it back on. Then the crown falls out again and he learns that they sold the business. The new doctor charges him $200 and tells him that the tooth needs an implant. Also, informs him many patients have crowns falling out. What a scam! Like a hit and run! Whatever it takes, just make the $$ and retire!

It is so unfair and heartless to let me continue in pain after a year when Dr. Candido promised to…read morework with me regarding paying for his service. All I wanted was to understand why he and the secretary on the phone kept saying it was illegal to provide me with the information to either have him paid or be reimbursed. I also wanted to know how was I supposed to submit a claim to my insurance company to get reimbursed for his services if he, or this mystery owner, were claiming it was my responsibility to complete and submit all necessary information on my own if they were refusing to provide the needed information to do so. I don't understand why they would refuse payment in full from the insurance company or allow me to be reimbursed after I paid for his services. Regardless of all that I had paid for the doctor's services by money order to ensure that Dr. Candido was paid for his services. I even had payment in full for the services he was to provide on March 8, when he neither showed up or called to the appointment. I don't understand why "the owner" would force me to see another provider while not even considering allowing Dr. Candido and I to see what could be worked out as he promised. He and the secretary promised to work with me, and she said he would take good care of me. He was exceptionally nice, put me at ease, and patiently explained everything to me. It's been so hard finding providers like that. It's unfortunate when the care is eliminated from healthcare and providers no longer care about patients but how they get their money no matter what the consequences for the patient. Such as refusing to allow me to be reimbursed and paying them in cash or, as I had, by money order. That's just plain heartless and really seems to be the norm rather than rare. AND ACCORDING TO ROMEDENTAL.NET I WAS GOING TO BE OVER CHARGED FOR THE NEXT APPOINTMENT!!!
