Let me start by saying if I could give negative stars I would! I took my golf cart there because he owner told me he would figure out the problem. He said it would cost $85. After a few days I received a call saying my motor and controller were both bad. I was then asked if I wanted to purchase a used golf cart from them as my cart would be very expensive to fix. Needless to say, I removed my golf cart from them. I then tested and fixed the cart myself and BOTH my motor and controller were fine. It ended up being a switch that was bad and a five minute fix. I'm from out of town and called this company (under high recommendation by the Hemingbough staff) in July to secure 2 golf carts for a wedding on Dec 16. The lady was scattered & talking in circles but assured me of the price and that they would deliver but to call back at the first of November to remind them. I called 3 times in November only for them to tell me they'd call me back. The never did although I spoke with one of the owners. I called today (10 DAYS FROM THE WEDDING) for them to say they won't deliver them! They have terrible customer care and telephone etiquette. DO NOT DEPEND ON A VERBAL AGREEMENT WITH THIS COMPANY. The 2 ladies that answer the phone will lie to you. They could have simply said this in July and saved me a lot of hassle. read more

This business is owned and operated by a couple, who have their residence located next door to the actual warehouse, and actively participate in the day-to-day operation of the business. I've been using them for the last 17 years for my car battery needs and have never been disappointed with the performance of the products. They offer new and reconditioned units, as well as "blemished' batteries, which in no way affects the operation or longevity of the batteries. These blemished and reconditioned units can be had for about half price and they come with a warranty. Many of these units can also be opened at the top to be able to check electrolyte level and add distilled water, if necessary, which I prefer.The electrolyte water content will evaporate through the vents with common "flooded" batteries over time (due to charging and our Louisiana heat) and this will effectively "kill" the battery prematurely if it's sealed with no way to add water. They will also install your purchase while you wait. They also are involved in all aspects of golf carts and accessories, including batteries and repair. My advice is to call ahead with the make/model of your vehicle to check for availability, since they do a brisk business and the blems and recon batteries sell fast. They have batteries for almost anything that uses a battery. You are guaranteed attentive service and a personable experience from the actual owners and their son, Clint, which is getting hard to find nowadays.
