The RN at the reception desk, Diana S., did not provide the level of professionalism or courtesy I expected. The Urgent Care staff gave me a referral paper with my son's information and instructed me to hand it to the Emergency Department staff. When I handed the paper to her, she did not look at it and instead began asking me questions about my own medical history, including my allergies. My infant son was right next to me in his stroller, and I had to interrupt to explain that he--not I--was the patient. Had the referral paper been reviewed, it would have been clear that I was the mother and my infant son was the patient. The most upsetting moment was when a gust of wind blew the referral paper onto her side of the desk. She picked it up, crumpled it into a ball, and threw it into the trash without saying a word. Since Urgent Care had specifically instructed me to hand that paper to the Emergency Department, seeing it immediately discarded without any explanation was shocking. As a mother bringing my infant to the ER, I was already scared and worried. This interaction made me feel deeply disrespected. Patients and their families deserve to be treated with basic courtesy, especially when they are seeking emergency care for a sick child.

Doctor Din is so responsive, whether it is in an email message through the Health online app, without out question, anything I ask him, provides excellent guidance, I was a 22 year smoker, I asked for help to quit, after 1 month, I was able to quit without further refills on the medication, fast forward 5 years now and still a non-Smoker. A Life-Changing Experience with Dr. O'Connor…read more I have been a patient of Dr. O'Connor for many years, but I recently experienced firsthand why his specialization in back pain is so legendary. After a simple move--picking up a pair of pants--my back went out completely. I was in excruciating, incapacitating pain. While sitting offered some relief, the transition to standing was unbearable; it felt like my whole back was lighting up. I reached out to Dr. O'Connor, and he got me in quickly. Using his years of experience and specialized tools, he worked on my back--bending, twisting, and carefully adjusting my spine. After about an hour of his targeted treatment, the pain was simply gone. It was absolutely amazing. This isn't the first time he's saved me, but this lower back incident was the most severe. If you are suffering, you don't need to rely on painkillers or live in misery. Dr. O'Connor has a plan for relief. He is a true blessing, and I cannot recommend him highly enough!

NVIH medical has progressed into an excellent facility. The current medical staff, although clearly very busy, is extremely caring, takes time with patients, and is surprisingly efficient. Everyone I've encountered is friendly and I've had a couple of doctors and nurses go far above and beyond to assist me in various ways. If you're looking for solid medical care, I strongly recommend NVIH. A big plus, btw, is that if you need blood labs done, you can do it right at at NVIH - no making an appointment with Quest and all that hassle. Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about Behavioral Health. It seems that good therapists don't stay and the not-good therapists don't leave. I will come right out and say that there are at least a couple of therapists at NVIH who should not be practicing, because they do more harm than good. Seriously: look elsewhere if you need professional mental health help.
