We had a custom home built in 2012 and Tracy and Steve stand behind their work. The home was built…read morein four months so we really had to make our change orders i.e. we added a few windows to the design and changed the flooring from carpet to wood, quickly. We have been very pleased with many of the choices we made especially the custom green beige stucco color. Stonecrest has a show room of tile, carpet, cabinets, etc. so it's easy to pick out the colors and match them to different rooms. We appreciated all the options and advice from everyone at Stonecrest. This is the first home we had built and it was a learning experience but there are always a few things that we could have changed in hindsight which is the case with building.

Our new Stonecrest home was built/finished several months ago (January) and we're very happy with…read morehow it turned out. The process of going with a custom builder instead of a spec home is very different and much more stressful. Most people don't understand this fact and have unrealistic expectations of how working thru issues should be handled. Tracy and the staff of Stonecrest, along with Ken Poletski from Community Real Estate did a good job of helping us navigate the process from start to finish. The end result is that we live in a beautify new home. Considering all the ups & downs while building a house during the fall/winter months, we have already recommended Stonecrest to others.

In 2018 when the house was being built: 1) They couldn't get the wood needed which extended our float option with the bank and would've cost us $500 (thankfully Chase covered it, Olin refused to cover any of it) 2) They had installed the wrong flooring and had to replace it all, 2 days before we got the keys 3) Installed the wrong size bathroom cabinet and had to replace as well 4) Poorly designed the lighting in our kitchen (25 ft high along with the smoke detector), making it dangerous to change them 5) Chose cheap materials - The heating system in our garage looks atrocious - Bathroom door handle has already fallen off and front door handle looks tattered after regular use. - The thermostat never KEEPS the temp to what we set I'm sure they have good intentions but bottom line is I would NEVER recommend Olin to anybody.

I can't say enough good things about Olin Homes and Sandy Lang!!!…read more We shopped around to build and had one other bulder who just didn't seem interested in our business and another who kept telling us "we can't do that" we finally walked out! Then we made our final stop, unannounced, to the Olin Homes office off of Burden road. Sandy was wonderful! We picked a house and started asking the same questions: add a pantry? "No problem" 4 car garage custom? "No problem" Extend the porch 10 feet custom? "No problem" wire for surround sound? "No problem" Hot tub pad and electrical? "No problem" add french doors in MBR? "No problem" add ladder stairs to attic opening? "No problem" Add outlets near roof for Christmas lights? "No problem" add a custom Garden in back with sprinklers? "No problem" put ALL sockets and switches where I want them? "No problem" Add security lights on all sides with switches in 3 rooms? "No problem" we signed THAT day and 90 days later closed on our dream home! We were allowed to visit the site daily to take pictures and bring the contractors drinks and food and they stayed in touch every step of the way with almost NO issues on the build. Louie (the site manager) kept us informed, taught us how to maintain our house and furnace/AC and we had ZERO issues to resolve a thte 1 year inspection. I highly recommend you talk to them before dealing with anyone else in the tri-cities....their lot or yours, you'll get what you want and NO headaches! Thanks Olin Family, Sandy and Louie and Sam (the awesome electrician!) Richard and Janet Joslin and the dogs Grissom and Pickles and the cats Klunka and GRRR!

I do not live in the unit and signed the lease only to help her qualify. Welcome Home Properties told us a co-signer and double deposit would be required if my nana did not meet screening criteria, so I agreed to co-sign to help her secure housing. They charged her over $400 in fees before she moved in. They knew I would not be living there and would be checking on my 85-year-old nana daily as her caregiver. Four weeks after move in, her doctor and Adult Protective Services determined she could no longer safely live alone and had to move to assisted living. When I called to explain, staff quoted an early-termination structure of a $500 re-listing fee, $500 for half a month's rent, and then $500 per month until re-rented. APS later verified that my nana could not live alone. When I requested early termination and release from liability as a disability-related accommodation, my emails were ignored. Instead, the portal showed about $10,250 in remaining rent. The lease was also changed so my nana's signature was removed while mine remained, even though I never signed an amendment. My nana has since been diagnosed with a devastating medical condition and her days are numbered. This company treated the situation like a billing opportunity instead of a serious medical and housing issue. They handled the lease in a way that left a non-occupant caregiver "holding the bag" for the remaining term after APS and doctors said my nana had to leave. I am disputing the debt and filed complaints with multiple agencies because I believe their conduct is unfair, dishonest, and harmful to an elderly disabled tenant and her caregiver.

AVOID RENTING HERE - especially your college-age children who may not know better. Welcome Home…read moreProperties will make sure renters don't get their deposits back. My daughter and her roommate spent an entire day cleaning prior to move-out and took videos and photos of the end result. While there were a few spaces that did need a more thorough cleaning, Welcome Home charged them over $900 and 20 hours of service! And that doesn't include the fee they were already charged for carpet cleaning. There's no way it would take 20 hours to clean an 800 sq ft apartment regardless of the condition. Welcome Home took weeks to respond and never did provide a full itemized explanation for these excessive charges. They are taking advantage of first-time, young, college-age renters and should be ashamed of themselves. Their office staff never seems to be able to answer questions and is known for giving people the run-around both on the phone and in-person.
