We are in town for some biking and camping and we saw the big red building off the highway on the way in. I was so excited to finally (try on) the overalls and pick out my first pair! The cold snap (and the fact we were winter camping) helped me land on a fleece lined pair. The absolutely LOVE them. I was between sizes and happily sized up so I can have layering options. They're like my favorite pair of snow bibs but cuter!! So, about the store. It was big, clean, and well organized. There was quite a bit on clearance when we were there, so I also grabbed some base layers.

Customer service has always been good at this location. Overall, I really enjoy shopping at Marshall's. PLUS, it is connected to the HomeGoods store, which I love!! My wife purchased a belt for me for Christmas and when I opened the gift, I noticed it was damaged…read more I took it to the store with the receipt to exchange it in Rogers, Arkansas. The employee refused to return it stating that he can't "resell it and make money off of it." I told him that that's not my concern or my problem. Maybe you shouldn't sell a faulty product, but you may not be able to sell it, but I definitely won't be able to wear it and I'm the paying Customer. I asked to speak to supervisor he stated he was and he's unwilling to help me. I waited in the store for 30 minutes for the store manager to finally come out and during that time I complained to corporate on the phone. The manager finally came out and was very dismissive and rude from the very beginning stating that I don't even have the correct receipt so even if she wanted to help me, she couldn't I then pointed out to her that it is the correct receipt that she can't even read her own receipts.. She then stared blankly because she knew that she was in the wrong and sounded incompetent. She then stated that they're not going to return the belt and that, even though she believed it was likely caused from their own security tag that they had on the belt I "should have noticed that at checkout" and they would've either offered me a discount or found another one instead, but because I'm trying to return it, it does not apply because they can't resell it even though she stated that it was caused from her own security device. The belt is completely unworn and brand new and in horrible condition if I wear it, it's going to only deteriorate further She advised that corporate can't force her to do anything and that she's refusing to return anything or to help in anyway, but stated that I can try to go to their website and work out and exchange with corporate, but I would be responsible to pay shipping I told her that that's not how we're gonna do things they're gonna exchange it or I'm gonna file a charge back and that's when she stated I'm not allowed to file a charge back with my bank . The staff that work in these stores are clearly uneducated and young and don't know how to talk to customers or understand how they chargeback works, but I've already filed a charge back with my bank and am never going to shop at Cavender's ever again due to these two awful employees at Roger's location. When asked to try the clothes on, I was handed a wad of dirty, stained, and RANCID smelling clothes. The white dress shirt I was handed to try on was yellow around the neck from sweat stains and probably hasn't been washed in a year. It smelled so bad I had to go home and shower! The pants were ripped to the point I couldn't even latch them to see if they fit correct, and the shoes had YARN being used for the laces. As I was leaving, I told the staff they needed to wash their clothes and let them know on how disgusting they were. I was told the store manager will "not take them home to wash them". Why would they be taken home to be washed anyways? You're a suit shop. Use dry cleaning. It was like they went to the back and grabbed clothes out of the dirty hamper for me to try on. In what world do you not wash clothes for MONTHS for customers to try on??? Get it together. Pathetic and I will not be back. Shame on this store manager.

As with many stores, all they stock is polyester, which to me is hot and sticky in 100 degree weather. She was rude, condescending, and dismissive. I have never faced such poor customer service in my life when just trying to ask if they had any larger sizes on the jersey i wanted. When i told her it was okay and i would just look elsewhere, she had the audacity to roll her eyes at me. if youre having a bad day at work, thats understandable. But you shouldnt be taking it out on your customers and talking to them like they are idiots. I have never felt more embarrassed and outraged as i am at her treatment of someone asking for something so simple. I wonder how many other people she has talked to like doing her job is the biggest inconvenience she has ever had to deal with.
