My wife purchased a belt for me for Christmas and when I opened the gift, I noticed it was damaged. I took it to the store with the receipt to exchange it in Rogers, Arkansas. The employee refused to return it stating that he can't "resell it and make money off of it." I told him that that's not my concern or my problem. Maybe you shouldn't sell a faulty product, but you may not be able to sell it, but I definitely won't be able to wear it and I'm the paying Customer. I asked to speak to supervisor he stated he was and he's unwilling to help me. I waited in the store for 30 minutes for the store manager to finally come out and during that time I complained to corporate on the phone. The manager finally came out and was very dismissive and rude from the very beginning stating that I don't even have the correct receipt so even if she wanted to help me, she couldn't I then pointed out to her that it is the correct receipt that she can't even read her own receipts.. She then stared blankly because she knew that she was in the wrong and sounded incompetent. She then stated that they're not going to return the belt and that, even though she believed it was likely caused from their own security tag that they had on the belt I "should have noticed that at checkout" and they would've either offered me a discount or found another one instead, but because I'm trying to return it, it does not apply because they can't resell it even though she stated that it was caused from her own security device. The belt is completely unworn and brand new and in horrible condition if I wear it, it's going to only deteriorate further She advised that corporate can't force her to do anything and that she's refusing to return anything or to help in anyway, but stated that I can try to go to their website and work out and exchange with corporate, but I would be responsible to pay shipping I told her that that's not how we're gonna do things they're gonna exchange it or I'm gonna file a charge back and that's when she stated I'm not allowed to file a charge back with my bank . The staff that work in these stores are clearly uneducated and young and don't know how to talk to customers or understand how they chargeback works, but I've already filed a charge back with my bank and am never going to shop at Cavender's ever again due to these two awful employees at Roger's location. The selection is pretty good, although it would be nice to see them offer a little more than ariat. The customer service is almost nonexistent. After being completely ignored for close to an hour while I searched for a pair of boots, I left a pair of boots for my daughter sitting at the register and walked out the door because apparently it wasn't worth their time to ring us up. read more

It was my husband's birthday and he finally decided to get some boots. Our salesman, Tyson was such a great help in finding the right boot. We also bought boot socks and leather conditioner for the boots. The boots are beautiful! read more

Went here and was given dirty looks by all of the workers while trying to find clothes to work at a ranch. All of them stared at me and judged me for being there for so long, while none of them attempted to help find what i wanted. One girl with long blonde hair and black glasses was especially rude and judgmental. We heard her whispering about me and my friend as we walked up to the cashier. read more

Good store, nice selection but very frustrating to go into a business and 3/4 of the Employees are standing around talking and in their own little world. Place needs some supervision, shouldn't walk by 4 employees talking and not one asks if they can help or even acknowledge your presence. read more

Went in the Rogers Arkansas store today. My hubby was in the bathroom. No TP. I asked the clerk to have some brought into the men's room. next thing I know 4 young clerks were playing football with a roll of TP at the cashier stand. o asked them to give it to me. Why? It's for the men's room. The young idiot asks. I said because I asked someone to take it in there because there isnt any. I said this isn't funny and took the roll into the men's room. when hubby is done, I told him what they had been doing and he asked to speak to the manager. The young gal said she was and he asked do you all think this is a joke? next thing we knew she pointed her little finger and told us to get out of HER store. Are you kidding me. For telling the manager her 4 little friends are acting like morons and they can't even bother to stock their restrooms. we said are you kidding me? She said the same thing then wiggle her little fingers and said Go. Then she wiggled her fingers at us and said tata. I CAN ASSURE YOU WE WILL NEVER. EVER. GRACE THAT EATABLISHMENT OR ANY OTHER OF THEIR STORES. EVER. If that is their idea of a manger they don't need our business. THEY CAN KISS OUR AMERICAN WALLETS!!!! This store is extremely unfriendly and non-helpful. It took forever to find someone to help me find items I was seeking and the they didn't want to go in the back to find other sizes. They have poor inventory and a careless customer service attitude. Don't shop here if you can avoid it. Cavender's nationally is a great chain and store- this one in Rogers is a poor example of what they should be!!! read more

Do not trust this company to actually fulfill your order. My son had his heart set on one hat that is sold by them. I ordered it a few weeks before Christmas only to get a generic email from them that they canceled the order. No real explanation. I went back on their website snd it still showed they had two in stock. I ordered it again knowing this time it wouldn't make it by Christmas- but I figured that was one reason they'd canceled it and if it had to be after Christmas that was fine. A week later they canceled the order again. I won't be doing business with this company again. read more

Friendly staff that will stick with you and help you find a good fit on boots and hats. Not pushy but attentative. Great selection of clothes and cowboy cut suits. Great selection of boots for all ages. Items are laid out to shop easily. Some good sales going on too. Very disappointed in Cavanders when it comes to ordering boots. I have waited on a order of H&H boots ordered through Cavanders. The manager ordered them supposedly and everyone I call to check on the arrival she says I will call right now and find out when they will arrive at the store and call you back. Everyone wants to be a manager and do nothing except get paid every week and do nothing else. Very disappointed in what I call lack of service and poor communication with customer. This has been going on for a month. Never will I step foot in a Cavenders Western Wear Store again. Clean store, and kind employees who are helpful.. but also tend to watch/follow you like a hawk. While i'm sure is meant to be helpful and to prevent theft, its a bit annoying as sometimes I enjoy just browsing without being bothered. Overall my husband and I enjoy shopping here. read more

I went into the store on Dec. 8th and got sized for a pair of boots. I ordered a pair of boots that day (Circle G's) I was assured by an employee and then the manager that they would be here before Christmas, and that I would get a phone call letting me know they were ready. I got a call 11 days later and they left a voicemail stating they were ready. I went up that next weekend (almost an hour drive) to go pick them up. They searched for 25 minutes and came back to ask me if I had even gotten a call. I let them know the date/time of the call and the person who called me. They disappeared into the back for another 20 minutes only to come out and tell me that was a mistake and that there was no way the boots would have even arrived that fast. They told me it shouldn't be too much longer. I waited until the Saturday after Christmas and called first thing in the morning. I talked to a lady who couldn't even find my order and asked if she could get a manager to call me back. I waiting 5 hours and then called them back only to be put on hold for 45 minutes, and then told it would be another 2 weeks. I went into the store yesterday, they spent 30 minutes in the back looking, came out to ask me what kind of boots they were again, went back to the back and spent another 15 minutes looking. Finally, they came out to tell me they didn't have them. I spoke with the manager who then refunded our money. The manager stated the money would automatically go back on the card, we still haven't received our refund. I am so disappointed in the LACK OF COMMUNICATION in this establishment. You would think a business that has been around this long could do better. I'm not nearly disappointed in the amount of time it took to receive a product that I had already paid for as I am in the lack of professionalism displayed. read more
